More so-called "secret" fighters announced online, delaying my review yet again (which is almost done, I swear).

R.O.B. Profile

Species: Robot

Series: Anything Nintendo wants him to be in

First Appearance: Gyromite (NES, 1985)

Favourite Appearance: Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii, 2008) or Mario Kart DS (DS, 2005)

Party: 1st

Known For: Being a robot, being a marketing trojan horse, only working with two games, becoming a creepy floating villain dude in Brawl

Excitement Factor: 2/10 - I never liked using R.O.B. in Brawl and that's not changing now. I was never excited for R.O.B. in Brawl, and that's not changing now. We've got Mr. Game & Watch and Duck Hunt; our retro games are represented well enough to give R.O.B. the boot. Please kick him out of the next game.

I like R.O.B. just because of how different he is from other fighters. That, and like Game & Watch and Duck Hunt he represents a distinct aspect of Nintendo's history—specifically, the last vestiges of their history as a toy company (rather than just a game company).

I kind of like ROB.  He's different, quirky, and feels good to use.  He's also about the most generic fighter in the game, playstyle-wise--and that's a good thing.
