Well Then

Second Interview went amazing, the guy told me that I was one of the best people he's ever interviewed, and they would let me know Monday.

They called Tuesday, and told me that THEY WEREN'T INTERESTED IN EMPLOYING ME. They said I was overqualified for the position, and they had no management positions open.

I was applying for a starter-position.

Lots of companies won't hire you if you're overqualified, because if you are, they think you'll demand better pay for your position because you should be doing better work...even if you won't

it's annoying and it sucks.

So if you're under-qualified you don't get the job, if you're over-qualified you don't get the job.

So if I've learned anything from this and my own experiences it's to just skip applying and assume you wouldn't get the job anyway.

Applying for jobs is fun.

This happened to my Mom a couple of years ago when she was 'let go' from a job (conspiracy to fire her, but that's for another day), and when she was trying to find a new job she looked at Walgreens. They told her that they accept only new folks and that she was way too over qualified. She was quite ticked.

I did want to ask if they wanted idiots to work for them, versus experienced folks....

Aww man, sorry to hear that. =/

 Thanks.

I would be too-what am I saying, I am ticked!

That's unfortunate, but at least you know why you weren't hired. Most places I've applied to work won't even tell you that. :(

They told me that if I didn't make it to the Second Interview that they wouldn't call me if I didn't get the job. But since I made it to the Second Interview, they said they would call me to let me know either way.
