Yep, you read that right.

Nintendo is going to be releasing a mini version of the NES on November 11, 2016 with 30 classic games on it. These games range from the original Metroid to the Super Mario Bros games to The Legend of Zelda one and two to Castlevania one and two. Here is the full list of games for it:

  • Balloon Fight
  • Bubble Bobble
  • Castlevania
  • Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest
  • Donkey Kong
  • Donkey Kong Jr.
  • Double Dragon II
  • Dr. Mario
  • Excitebike
  • Final Fantasy
  • Galaga
  • Ghosts ‘n’ Goblins
  • Gradius
  • Ice Climber
  • Kid Icarus
  • Kirby’s Adventure
  • Mario Bros.
  • Mega Man 2
  • Metroid
  • Ninja Gaiden
  • Pac-man
  • Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream
  • StarTropics
  • SUPER C
  • Super Mario Bros.
  • Super Mario Bros. 2
  • Super Mario Bros. 3
  • Tecmo Bowl
  • The Legend of Zelda
  • Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

(This list is copied and pasted from the article that I read about this)

Also, both the classic controller and classic controller pro with both with this NES mini. The console and its games will cost $60.

I know that most, if not all, of these games have probably been released on the Virtual Console by now, so many Nintendo fans have already had access to getting them. But for someone like me who hasn't played the majority of them, this sounds like a really good deal IMO. And with it coming out around Christmas time, it would make for a really good item to put on my Christmas list. :P

OMG. I want this and kinda need this. This is the PERFECT thing for my nephew! =O ... and me, because I'd be playing it too, likely. =P

But this is amazing! I... need to find out more about this.

And if you wanted to buy them all it would only cost you about... $150 for all the games. Assuming you have the Wii U or 3DS. But no, old VC games aren't overpriced.

Yeah this sounds like a great deal for those like me who didn't grow up with games at all but want to try it out, plus love the nostalgia value. So many classics here.

How can you tell the gravy is good when you just proved you have no taste?

Gonna need a phoenix down for that one

(though in all fairness Final Fantasy has not aged as gracefully as you'd expect)

Good gravy! sit, Gravy! stay Gravy!

Plus I'm kinda dreading that one game they talked about where everyone can switch to become a chibi

That one is so bad
