A New Metroid Game is Upon Us

Toa Smoke Monster

It's been a long time since fans of the Metroid series have gotten a new game in this franchise. That ends this month with the release of Metroid Prime: Federation Force. It's hard to believe that we are actually just a couple weeks away from its release. It still feels like its months away to me. :P

I really hope the game is good. I know that there are some fans who think that this game will be bad, and they could be right. But I'm going to play it myself and make my own judgments on it. For all we know, it could be one of the best entries into the Metroid series. I guess we'll find that out when the game is released August 19.

Since I never owned a Metroid game in ever, played all of the Prime games, tried and failed to play Other M (save your eyes), and really sucked playing Samus as a smash character, I'm curious as to how the controls are set up on a 2DS, unless this is only for New 3DS, in which case Y u do dat Nintendo.

But the question is: who's this Metroid, and how many missiles does he have?

I don't know about how its controls will work on a 2DS, but I remember reading that the game won't be New 3DS exclusive, so I don't think you need to worry about that.

And hopefully, he has a lot of missiles. :)

It's also worth noting that the blast ball portion of the game is available for download currently, and it has controller options for both systems. Just FYI
