The most common system is the scale where 4.0 is highest (a 4.0 being an A). There are a bunch of different systems out there... you must be on one of them (or, you being a homeschooler, calculated it wrong. ). I'd link you to the page I'm looking at, but on the off chance there are forums or blogs somewhere on there, I'll refrain. An A is 4.0, a B is 3.0, a C is 2.0, a D is 1.0, and an F is 0.0. +/- increments are 0.5.
