I actually have 4 programs for picture editing(besides MSPaint): Gimp, Photofiltre, Paint.net, and Irfanview. Gimp is useful for a couple of things, Photofiltre is useful for effects(the fog on my Blog Approval Seal), I'm still exploring Paint.net, but it's layers are easier to use than Gimp. For some reason Irfanview resizes pics better than any of the other programs. I'm still not sure why, and I've been using it for the past couple months.

Yeah, I use 3 different programs to do different things as well - Paint.Net is basically a toy right now for me, so I use it to do fun stuff with my pics. I've got ArcSoft Photo Studio, which I use for most of my resizing and auto-leveling. Then I've got Microsoft Picture It!, which is horrendously slow, but is the only program that lets me do specific details (straightening based off of a given line is a big thing I only use in this program).

But yeah... resizing kinda ruined the samller letters. ;;
