I've been thinking... primarily about how to revamp my image on BZPower.

 

First, I think a lot of my reputation has been tainted by the cruddy artwork I've posted over the years. Sure, my more recent stuff is -okay-, but I feel like the only really good stuff I've drawn has yet to see the light of day on BZP, while all my dumb doodles are what I'm known for. So I want to start publishing a lot more artwork... mostly Shounen Manga, but I've been contemplating an eventual crossover to Shoujo.

 

I'm also dead-set on getting my premier membership renewed. Seriously. I'm thinking lifetime. That's boost me to OPBZPC.

 

But what I have to ask you is about a name change. The Doktor thing is quite old, despite the fact that it's probably the only name people like Uncle K and Mandragora know me by. So should the new name be just "Dokuma" or just "McSpork?"

 

Yeah, I know this entry is too serious. I'll come up with something to make it more random. I promise.

Shonen is a Japanese/Japanese-style comic made for boys - it's actiony. Dragonball and FMA are both Shonens.

 

Shojo is a Japanese/Japanese-style comic made for girls - it's a bit more towards emotion and stuff like that. Can't think of any familiar Shojos that you'd usually hear about, really... CLAMP makes a ton of Shojos.

Yeah, that's another thing... I'm a male looking at branching out into Shoujo, so my mangas are probably going to end up aimed equally at both genders. :P

And that's totally okay. There are Shonens/Shojos that are aimed at boys/girls, but get read by both boys and girls.

 

I love me a good Shonen. :3

Shonen FTW. I've never even seen Shoujo in my life. XD Unless Sailor Moon counts... The commercials were so weird... But it also seems actiony... And quite stupid that by changing your clothes, no one will recognize you.

I would say the drawing style of Sailor Moon leans much more towards Shounen, even though the show itself is obviously aimed towards persons of the female persuasion.

 

I used to watch Sailor Moon when my parents weren't around when I was like 9. :P
