It means balljoints themselves and any part with integrated balljoints(such as Metru legs). balljoint sockets would be fine, though.

Video game-based. I'm surprised that nobody has made a Warthog yet, with the Cordak blasters coming out.

One and two. With Halo 3 out it's a perfect time for video game mocs, and as for the no balljoints, just a cool idea.
