Neaku Posted March 6, 2008 You try and MoC that big. It is hard, after the body you have no pieces to make limbs. Color schemes get ruined and everything just falls apart. I hate MoCing bigger then Toa size, and this was such a pain to make even though it looked amazing in real life. It isn't spectacular like T08's giant MoC. =O N Quote Link to comment
Bundalings Posted March 6, 2008 That's why I hate large MOCs. You run out of pieces and they end up all nasty and such. I stick with little stuff. BtB Quote Link to comment
Tikaro Posted March 6, 2008 Yeah, I know what you mean. The limbs aren't symmetrical, and some peices literally look like they're just sitting on top of it. /that's why I didn't comment on it. I usually stick to things from Matoran to average titan sizes. Although I am currently working on a giant dragon..... YOU DIDN"T HEAR ENYTING! TT Quote Link to comment
Aanchir Posted March 6, 2008 Actually, that MOC is OK compared to many big MOCs I see in BBC contests... it at least has the semblance of a color scheme (this may be because it uses a limited number of sets, but in that case it's not OK but incredible that the MOCist was able to make it so good in terms of construction). Its color scheme, granted, seems lacking, but its construction tends to be somewhat good even though the looseness of certain parts is a definite minus. Sure beats the Maxilos modifications that sprung up so often after the release of said set. Those tended to be smaller and still have a worse color scheme than the MOC in question. Agreed, perhaps not worth a 7/10, but definitely more than a 5/10. Quote Link to comment

Very poor. BtB Quote Link to comment
Zipper Posted March 6, 2008 Please stop flaming it. It just what people happen to like nowadays, BIG. But, I don't like it very much neither. Quote Link to comment

Lluvio Posted March 7, 2008 OMG BIG WEPON VERY GUD!1!!ONE! Overdone, but that's what the some of the BBC thinks. It's almost as bad as Sets. And to think I used to live there... *Shudders* Quote Link to comment
Distorted Posted March 9, 2008 I've seen much worse MOCs in the BBC forum. If you looked more carefully, you'd see that it's not just a pile of pieces, but a very complex construction. Admittedly it is rather cluttered and lacking a good colour scheme, and the whole MOC does need a bit more smoothing out, but if you focus on the whole shape of the MOC rather than the individual parts, it is quite impressive. I hereby challenge you to create a MOC that is bigger and better than this one. Quote Link to comment

Very poor. BtB Admittedly, the arms and weapons are lame. But the torso is spectacular, the feet are OK (hard to judge feet unless you know whether they can hold the MOC up, which these pics don't reveal adequately), and the proportions aren't that bad. Color scheme is poorly organized, but the builder succeeded in limiting themselves to a specific number of colors, the first step in mastering the art of color scheme organization. Beats most of the big MOCs I see, which tend to have three or more knees and elbows and a bony, spindly structure that makes the character despite its size to look like it's struggling to stay in one piece. Haven't seen a good Colossal MOC in a while, though, so I can't really compare this to the sort of things I saw at Brickfest '06. Now those were spiffeh. Quote Link to comment
