Remember

I never had any personal connections to the 9-11 attacked. I lived on the opposite end of the country, and I didn't have any family involved. But, like anybody else, this tragic event effected me too. It shattered my perfect world vision... there were people out there who don't like us, and they were willing to do something about it.

When I got home from school on the afternoon of September 11, 2001, I watched the news until I got sick. It probably would've been better if they had just aired cartoons instead, but there was just so much to show. It really was quite a shock.

Five years later, I'm still advancing through life, trying to do well in School, Scouts, and on BZP. But the events of 9-11 still send chills through me. I won't forget the events that happened on that day. I would like to honor those who lost their lives on that day. :usa:

As well, I also remember the people in the armed services who are fighting to protect our freedom. I may not completely agree with some of the foreign involvement, but all the soldiers out there, fighting against the terrorists, still deserve our gratitude. I will remember and honor them too.

Since 9-11, there have been other attacks in Spain and England. I hope that we, as a world, can prevail against the terrorists and find peace. Maybe it's an unrealistic goal, but we might as well shoot for something.
