I just made pierogies with my dad. We had honestly no idea how to make them except from his memory of his mom making them. The dough kept on sticking to the roller and the place mat thing then I figured out that we needed flour, and a lot of it. There was soooooo much flour afterwards. Yeah I was a little messy. xD

But yeah they were awesome when we ate them finally. =^.^=

What is a pierogie, and why have I never seen the =^.^= emoticon before?

Pierogi- a small dough envelope filled with mashed potato, meat, cheese, or vegetables, crimped to seal the edge and then boiled or fried, typically served with sour cream or onions

They are Polish and really good.

And yay kitties! =^.^=

Yeah I was amazed how simple the dough was. At the end we figured out it just needs some salt for the right flavor, but it is so simple. I kept asking if we needed anything else in there.

Nom. Haven't had pierogies for a looooong time. Amazing that you could get them in Vancouver, but not here in Finland, which is after all much closer to Poland. Boo. I'll have to look up a recipe and make 'em from scratch then. Food's better that way, anyhow. ^_^

Well the dough isn't hard. All it was was flour and water. xD I'm not sure about how to make the meat or the mash potatoes though. =\
