Even though I never any of the sets or story or anything....

But, I think I agree with you. Although, the licensed themes are also interesting. I do enjoy the Star Wars LEGO Bricks for sure.

I dunno lol. I'm actually beginning to think they should just stop Bionicle. Or at least do a different story. Like Bara Magna, but without Mata Nui and Makuta and bleh.

Why couldn't the Mahri Nuva just have defeated Makuta? >>

Because having Makuta win was totally unexpected and kinda cool

And now they can't just do a quick turnaround and beat him, they need time to show that this is actually important

But new timelines in the vein of transformers or gundam would be cool

Well, yeah, it is kinda cool. The story's just going on a little too long for my taste. I'd rather have something new.

Oh heck yar.

I remember back when themes had stories, by which I mean stories with dialog.

 

Lego ought to stop producing Bionicle, make an original IP with the same level of story. Because let's face it, the story has degraded greatly over the years, at least in part due to having to think up new characters each year.

 

Maybe just make themes shorter, two or three years at the most.

 

Biggest problem is that it would require Lego to be creative.

As a casual observer, I'd say they did an OK job of doing exactly that with Knight's Kingdom (and maybe Exo-Force).
