This Is Just Great...

On Wednesday, a man drove a Bugatti Veyron into a lagoon in Texas after avoiding a low-flying pelican.

According to The Galveston County Daily News, the driver was checking out real estate in La Marque, Tex., when the pelican swooped into view:

The man jerked the wheel, dropped his cellphone and the car’s front tire left the road and entered a muddy patch, which foiled his attempt to maneuver away from the lagoon.

The Veyron’s powerful engine gurgled like an outboard motor for about 15 minutes before it died.

The man was uninjured, physically, though after drowning the Veyron, which is priced at around $1.5 million, his ego might be a little damaged.

What a waste of a great car. I mean, if anything, the guy should've been enjoying the ability to drive the car, not using his cell phone. Just goes to show that having a fast or precise car doesn't always make someone a good driver. Honestly, the thing that scares me the most about this is that people like this are on the road every day--if anything, this speaks volumes about the dangers of using a cell-phone while driving.

Next time you're having a bad day, just be glad you aren't this guy. :P

Epic fail TO THE MAX.

Dang man, I thought it was illegal to call people "Epic fail TO THE MAX." when they owned a Bugatti Veyron...

Two things:

1. He doesn't technically own the car anymore.

2. She's Lady Kopaka, and can therefore get away with it. :P

lol just lol.

This ranks up pretty high on my 'how to wreak an expensive car' list. Of course these things are inevitable, *cough*LewisHamilton’sdad*cough*. =P

Yum. Salt water+£1m car=One big repair bill.

Best thing is his reason "a low flying pelican distracted me". Where did he get that from?

Is it just me, or am I the only one who notices the fact that the rear spoiler is up? Which, if I am correct, only comes up when you're doing 80-90 Mph, and when you have the special "Fast key" in?

Yeah, low flying pelican... Riiiiiiiiiiiggggghhhhhtttttt. :P

Footage has emerged on the internet of a car following the Veyron and filming it crash into the water. Warning, if you choose to go and watch it, you mgiht want to turn your speakers down. It has some bad language on it. I think that bad language would echo the driver's thoughts/words exactly though at that moment! Anyway, still no sign of the "low flying pelican".
