I'd go with The Art of War, The complete works of Shakespeare, and Patterns in Arithmetic.

Or...

just to see how much I could mess the kid up The Communist Manifesto, Atlas Shrugged, and Mein Kampf

The Zombie Survival Guide, There's Nothing in This Book That I Meant to Say, and Goodnight Moon.

Say what you will, but the kid's gonna get some variety. B)

Waiting for Godot, The Stranger, and Crime and Punishment =D

If Godot doesn't count because it's a play, then Grendel by John Gardner.

I find it very dissapointing that you lower Atlas Shrugged to the level of Mein Kampf. Atlas Shrugged is, in fact, the single work I would recommend for an entire education.

You misunderstand.

Atlas shrugged is the closest thing to a libertarian manifesto.

The idea is to grope the three most contradictory books into some kids mind as his only education and see how much it screws him up.

Okay . . . that doesn't make much sense, since the kid is likely going to take all three with a grain of sand, but I see what you mean.

Hmm..

The internet (In book formation) ((and if not that, then Anthem)), The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, and Requiem for a dream.

See how that plays out.
