Overload

So with Valentine's Day coming up, I figured I could use it as an excuse to finally get a love story written and posted so I can get it checked off on the list of genres I've written into. For a while, I was absolutely rock-bottom on inspiration, and then suddenly, I've got so many ideas that it's difficult for me to pick just one of them. Honestly, what would you guys be the most interested in seeing?

-A songfic about a Kolhii player who has a crush on a fan, who in turn is totally unaware of this.

-A mostly action-oriented story about two Toa who find they have closer ties after they're sent to raid a fleeing airship.

-A more subdued story about an eastern/Oriental-themed island with Matoran who hold values different from the three virtues.

-A slightly more sorrowful story set on Bara Magna during the Core War.

-Another S&D "fanfic" concerning the still unconfirmed "romance" between Dekra and Ayla. :P

In all honesty, I may revisit some of these ideas even if I don't choose them, but my reputation for leaving projects unfinished may dictate otherwise. *lol* Which ones would you guys be most likely to read?

The first one sounds interesting. I think that this one would make an interesting story, but I'm not entirely sure about it being a songfic. Don't know. Though it still makes me want to read it if you do it... =/

Sounds rather fascinating, I guess.

The idea of that is somewhat odd.

All for a Dekra and Ayla romance. :P

So far, the ideas I'd like to see are the Dekra and Ayla romance and the first idea.

This could be good, but I like the other ideas better.

This, too, could be quite interesting depending how it's played out.

Pretty much the same as the other two above [my thoughts].

-A slightly more sorrowful story set on Bara Magna during the Core War.

I love war stories, and I think this would be better than any of the others so far, depending again on how it's written. But I have no doubt you'll pull it off well.

-Another S&D "fanfic" concerning the still unconfirmed "romance" between Dekra and Ayla.

This would be quite cool. Especially if it's anywhere near as cool as The Sniper. =P

So I guess my favorites are the last two and the second. It really depends more on the plot and how things are written that what has been said above, so I'm not exactly sure what I would like to see the most.

But, yeah, some small thoughts that may or may not help/make sense.

You're out of luck, 'cause I'm almost finished with the Kolhii songfic right now. :P I had more motivation to write the one I've gone with than any of the others because of the song behind it. You'll have to wait 'til the fourteenth to see it, though. I might pursue some of these ideas in the future if other projects/school don't get in the way.

The inspiration behind the Core War story would've been from "My Very Dear Sarah", an apparently popularly documented love letter from a Civil War soldier to his wife on the day before his death. The similarities were there, but I think it would've been too short, and not focused enough on romance for a V-Day story.

In the end, I most likely would've gone with this one if it weren't for the fact that I had written "Wish You Were Here" not even a month ago. :P Haven't really figured out how I want their relationship to go in the full story, and didn't want to give away an ending before I had decided on a suitable conclusion. I also didn't want to create too many alternate plotlines, either. *lol* If you want more to read more from S&D, "Wish You Were Here" is still without any reviews...

Hmm. I don't recall that name before, but now I must really look that letter up. Which gives me an idea for a story. Not that I'll ever finish it, or even start it, but yeah. =P I have more than five stories in the works, and probably ten more ideas. I just never feel like actually writing them, unfortunately. :/

Which is why I hope to start being active in Story Fit [run by Spink's Cat -- I'll put a link into my sig soon], as that should get me writing more, and hopefully I can incorporate some old ideas into stories for that. Even if not it'll get me writing more, which is good. But anyway.

That's been on my list to read/review for a while... I've just been so busy lately that I haven't had time. But I hope to soon, definitely, read and review it.
