I used flippers for snorkling, and I didn't feel quite like a dolphin. But I never got my swimming merit badge, so I wouldn't know about intense 1st period swimming.

I always liked swimming, especially with flippers. 1st period though, that's harsh. At my local pool, going in that early would kill you. It's that cold in the morning. 4th period really isn't much better.

I've never really been fond of flippers. They seem to do something weird to my feet and I end up with what could only be described as a very bad foot cramp.

Speaking of dolphins, was anyone else ticked off that that stupid documentary about people who kill dolphins and make them into food won the Oscar for Best Documentary over all those other much better ones? Seriously, people, dolphins are pretty darn vicious creatures. Like polar bears.

On topic, that kinda stinks, having swimming 1st period. Never swum with flippers.

I gave up on flippers years ago, along with trying to get rid of pool smell without scented shampoo.

And you're lucky; we don't have a pool at my school. Though then again, swimming at a school pool during winter wouldn't too fabulous to begin with . . .
