Random thoughts

What is it that makes a person more shy online than in real life, and more shy online after meeting someone in real life?   Sorry, completely random off topic idea. It was TOTALLY not inspired by ANYONE.   Well, SftS is still standing, somewhat. I can tell you for sure that in a week or two, it's going to change a lot. Most specifically, I'll be taking a bit of a step back from it.

Brickfair

(Insanely) plotting on the possibilities of getting to Brickfair, when I realized that I hardly know anything about the setup or anything, outside of what I've read in a few BZP articles, not is there much place to discuss it outside of news discussion. Anyone think a GD topic on brickfair would be good, or do news article feedbacks serve well enough?

IS this bad or just my imagination.

500 MB RAM. Is that bad or what?   On a brighter note, we actually got decent internet; it's such a strange thing having 150 kb/s internet speed. So now I downloaded Mount&Blade: With Fire and Sword. Unfortunately, it takes forever on this computer. I hope to try it on our laptop.   And... SftS. It's kinda going to need some work; namely, people. There's no way I can continue running it quite so singlehandedly. Some of you might have seen the announcement on the first page of the discussion

Fare Thee Well

Yeah, so I'm heading down to NJ for a week for a mission trip. Spawn, LL, and KNI will be in charge of SftS... Be warned, they have full power to smite. >=P

Third Day Of The Rpg

And I'm beginning to try to initiate some of the war factor in.   I feel accomplished.   (Running low on ideas for these things now.)

Snow White And The Seven Dwarves

Okay, it blew Avengers out of the water for me, And passed out THG and For Greater Glory as well; has to be my favorite movie this year, as of now. It told the fairytale in the traditional sense, insomuch as it ad libbed a good deal, but nonetheless formed a good story. The setting was awesome, especially, ESPECIALLY, the armor. I also had to refrain myself from screaming 'YES' when Snow White prayed at the start. It introduced an interesting underlying theme.   Of course, I was at a drive in, an

Superspeed Is Overpowered

And I speak from experience.   I just finished tweaking with Mount&Blade until my character could run literally almost as fast as an arrow. I also edited my character's weapon speeds so they could be swung at the same sped; ergo, imitated perhaps half the Kakama's speed, if that. I then put the game into slow motion.   The result? Let's just say that I could easily shoot or kill with sword a half dozen enemies before they could:   1: block. 2: raise a weapon. 3: move more than a few inches.

¡viva Cristo Rey!

Just saw For Greater Glory today; just it time it seems, as it's practically out of CT already.   Overall, it was an excellent movie, although I hear that it was somewhat inaccurate when it came to Gorostieta and Fr. Vega.   It was most certainly tragic, although it would have been more so if they had actually mentioned the immediate effects that the end of the war had. It was also quite violent and filled with what might be termed 'disturbing images'; namely people being hanged, shot, stabbed,

The Unsung Reviewers

I think we've all met them, usually when we've just began writing, or a little after. You have that short story that you think is good, but everyone else seems to ignore: 30+ views, no reply, that sort of thing. In reality, you'r story isn't very good, and people don't really want to read and review it as a result. Of course, you might apply for a review from the local critics club, which speaking from experience can be a BIG enthusiasm booster. But even better is when a person out of the blue l

Story Fragments

Going through a word doc of fragments of stories can be pretty interesting.   Expect chapter one of a T/DH war story up soon. I currently wondering how I can tie it in with Strike From the Shadows, should that RPG win.

Mentally Worked Out

So, yesterday was the graduation/promotion night for my homeschool group, although no one was graduating this year. It seems that I'm getting into a pattern: everytime I'm down at the church where we holds the graduation and a few other events, I find myself in intense religious discussion/debate with a friend. Comes from being the only Catholic in a Protestant group, I suppose. This time, however, my dad got into religious debate with three of the dads as well. In our defense, we didn't initiat

Dear Marvel

Your depiction of frost giants is completely despicable.   In other words, I watched Avengers. It was okay. Not extremely good, but decent. I found that I could stand Tony Stark this time.

Why I Hate Consoling People

Because I automatically assume they have the same mindset as myself: namely that in grieving, they want people to shut up and not murmur the usual cliche condolences that the fifty+ people before them already said.   Yeah, that's why my way of going to a wake is to pay my respects, say hello, and hide in some obscure corner.

You know those weird transparent looking files with names like '~WRD1146'? Well, one of them had an updated version of my story. Lost all the formatting, but I got the text back, which is the important thing.   Now I must resist the urge to dance around crowing with triumph.
