It's funny how three years ago, hardly anyone knew about the Guardians of the Galaxy and nobody expected it to be a hit. And now I just saw Geico, Hanes, and Ford all run commercials about them. Groot was hanging out with the Gecko and underwear will help you save the universe. Hollywood is weird.
I've always been a fan of the books and I liked the movie, so I was really excited for the Netflix adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events. If you've never read the books, it's about three recently-orphaned children who are pursued by a villainous actor who wants nothing more than their family fortune told through a strange blend of mystery and black comedy with a lot of witty narration by the titular author Lemony Snicket. The show itself does a great job of capturing the tone of the books
The SpongeBob episode Squeaky Boots is just a child-friendly adaptation of 'The Telltale Heart' by Edgar Allan Poe. It's amazing what things you realize in the middle of the night while deprived of sleep.
(or there's an
if you prefer a more action-y one) There's just something so surreal and awesome about seeing Spider-Man existing and crime-fighting in the MCU, even after Civil War already did that. I'm really excited to see what Marvel can do with the ol' Webhead, and I'm glad that it looks like Sony is letting them take the reins. Tom Holland is great, the humor is funny, the Vulture looks pretty intimidating (although villains have never been Marvel's strong suit so I'm not sold just ye
Um, Pixar... are you sure about this teaser? I get that everyone thought Cars 2 was too dumb and childish, and that you want to prove it can be serious. But are you sure the best way to do that is to disturb and potentially traumatize the kids who liked it? For the record, I do like the first Cars and I think Cars 2 was okay. I'm sure the movie itself will be lighter, and the teaser doesn't really have bearings on if Cars 3 will be good, but this is a surprisingly dark trailer for a film serie
(A Dinosaur's Story) Thanks to Bfahome for the 6-months of premiere. Now you guys are stuck with me again for a while. (Also wanted to do a shout out to Alternis Dim's premiere giveaway if anyone didn't get a chance at Bfahome's)
AKA The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild The coolest part of this game is how it feels like a 3D AAA version of the first Zelda, where you have to explore to find dungeons and items. I know I'll like it and spend a lot of time in this game considering good gravy it's huge, but there is a part of me that hopes there's still some of the staples of older Zelda games like dungeons and a cohesive story.
This is such a good teaser, getting you hyped without showing too much of the movie. I am both extremely excited and extremely nervous about this movie. I'm excited because it has a great cast, it has the music, and it looks like it'll be very respectful to the original. But I'm nervous because Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie, and I've never seen a remake of a movie I really cared about so I'm really hoping it lives up to the original.
It's always nice when Amazon delivers your book a day earlier than the book is supposed to be released. It's good so far (I'm about ten chapters in), If you like any of the other Percy Jackson books you'll like this. Also, all of the chapter titles are bad haikus. It's the little things.
In honor of the impending release of Captain America: Civil War, whose side are you on: Captain America (the Avengers should have the freedom to do what needs to be done) or Iron Man (the Avengers should have accountability for their actions and answer to a governing body)?
SpongeBob v Patrick: Dawn of Splatfest is about to begin, and here's my contribution to the Miiverse festivities: There are more posts at the Splatoon Tumblr, if your interested in stupid SpongeBob quotes like I am.
