Um, Pixar... are you sure about this teaser? I get that everyone thought Cars 2 was too dumb and childish, and that you want to prove it can be serious. But are you sure the best way to do that is to disturb and potentially traumatize the kids who liked it? For the record, I do like the first Cars and I think Cars 2 was okay. I'm sure the movie itself will be lighter, and the teaser doesn't really have bearings on if Cars 3 will be good, but this is a surprisingly dark trailer for a film serie
So if you don't know, Disney is making an animated TV series based on Tangled, set between the original movie and the short Tangled Ever After. It's got a good voice cast (both Mandy Moore and Zachery Levi are back), and the art style looks really nice. But if you've seen the movie, you might notice something... off about this picture. The show could still be good, but that is a big problem they have to get around first. Also I care way too much about children's media.
Since you guys seem to like debating the new Ghostbusters movie and the neccesity of reboots, I guess I'll throw in my two cents. It's funny how three years ago, hardly anyone knew about the Guardians of the Galaxy and nobody expected it to be a hit. And now I just saw Geico, Hanes, and Ford all run commercials about them. Groot was hanging out with the Gecko and underwear will help you save the universe. Hollywood is weird.

I saw Batman v Superman today. I've always liked DC, but their movies haven't really wowed me like Marvel's have. It was pretty good, but not great. I get where the criticism is coming from, but a 30% on Rotten Tomatoes is way too harsh. I'd give it a 7, maybe 7.5 out of 10. The cast was good, so I still have hope for Wonder Woman and Justice League to turn it around and give Marvel a run for their money. Speaking of Wonder Woman, I'm just gonna put her theme here because it's pretty awesome.
I've always been a fan of the books and I liked the movie, so I was really excited for the Netflix adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events. If you've never read the books, it's about three recently-orphaned children who are pursued by a villainous actor who wants nothing more than their family fortune told through a strange blend of mystery and black comedy with a lot of witty narration by the titular author Lemony Snicket. The show itself does a great job of capturing the tone of the books

This is such a good teaser, getting you hyped without showing too much of the movie. I am both extremely excited and extremely nervous about this movie. I'm excited because it has a great cast, it has the music, and it looks like it'll be very respectful to the original. But I'm nervous because Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie, and I've never seen a remake of a movie I really cared about so I'm really hoping it lives up to the original.
Four thoughts on the Rogue One trailer: 1. It definitely looks different from The Force Awakens, which is a good thing. Let the spin-offs be their own things. 2. Good gravy that Mon Mothma casting is perfect. I honestly thought she was a CG recreation the first time I saw her (Genevieve O'Reilly also played her in Episode III, but I don't even remember her in that so take that how you will). 3. I'm wondering if the Rebel guy with the mustache is Biggs. It looks like him, but I don't think
AKA The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild The coolest part of this game is how it feels like a 3D AAA version of the first Zelda, where you have to explore to find dungeons and items. I know I'll like it and spend a lot of time in this game considering good gravy it's huge, but there is a part of me that hopes there's still some of the staples of older Zelda games like dungeons and a cohesive story.
