BRICKS CASCADE EDITION Today, we got up early and headed down to the Oregon Convention Center for the first public day of Bricks Cascade. It was awesome. I got my BZP Staff shirt (which is awesome and I never ever want to take it off) as well as a BZP Staff brick for my brick badge, which is still in a drawer somewhere in North Carolina. I met Kakaru and Swert for the first time as well. (The former's awesomeness is recounted in the entry immediately prior to this one.) I got a purple Za
Teal: It's such an awesome color. Of course, we only got a hint of it in Kongu and a Tarakava (plus some pre-Bionicle Slizers), but I for one love teal. It's just...cool. There's no way to explain it.
Who else wants to bring teal back?
Post a comment and join the Bring Back Teal Club! You will have your name listed in a custom content block on the side of my Blog and a chance to participate in official BBTC BBCCs!

In B:Y1, levels will be accessed via the Kini-Nui menu. Each Toa will have separate levels, though the levels are somewhat like short episodes. Each will include Rahi enemies, and if it's viable, a boss-Rahi at the end.
Each Toa will have separate powers to start with. These include elemental powers (these do basically the same thing, though the effects are different) and their mask powers. Starting with one mask (their primary mask), they will gain more powers as they go through levels and f
Life as a Forum Assistant certainly has its perks: namely, topic closing. It's kind of fun, though I've only closed one so far. If I assisted in Q&A, COT, or GD, I'd be able to close topics on a more frequent basis, but I'm not complaining. Topic closing comes with a downside, though. Some FAs - like me - are expected to be funny, for some reason. Oh, sure, I could go with two- or three-word closing statements, but that's no fun at all, since they're used all the time by others. The clever
So let's talk about MOCing. If you've got a few pieces lying around, chances are that you've built something uniquely your own. Regardless of the size of your collection, MOCing is the inevitable result of imagination and ABS plastic. It's why the BBC forum has held so many contests in BZPower's storied history. Your mission: build something that uses twenty pieces or fewer. (Twenty-one is right out.) With such a limitation, the contest puts a premium on part usage and imagination. System, CCB

THE ENTRY PERIOD IS NOW CLOSED. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to ... "What is this?" you might dare to ask. "Why did you name a contest 'fresh salad'? Sumiks, are you mad?" Well, that I most certainly am, but the name does make sense in the context of the contest. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will be: Build a MOC with a fruit or vegetable. A real, edible, tasty food item. The MOC must contain a fruit or vegetable as part of its construction - you can't photograph
Unity has been downloaded, the game will soon be started. However, there is one slight difficulty:
I don't have any 3D models of the Toa Mata.
So yeah. Post it in your blog, put it in your sig, anything: I need to spread the word on this project. It'll never work without the help and support of the BZPower community.
This is the official entry for the scripts and voice acting for BIONICLE: Year One.

Okay, here's how it goes. You take two or more emoticons and combine them into a new emoticon. You can post as many times as you like, provided that you do not double-post.
For example:
+ + = I'm scared of the angry alien!
:wakeup2: + = Tohu in the morning.

Well, well, looks like BZP's back already, and just in time for this week's Tablescrap. This week is a monolith from the book/movie "2001: A Space Odyssey". The dimensions in the book state that a monolith is 1:4:9, the squares of the first three numbers. I did my best to recreate this. (excuse the slight blurriness, my camera wanted to act obese) The monolith appeared at BrickFair 2011, but I didn't want to make a full-blown topic for it. Its card read "no epic music required", prompting
So Munchy PMed me and asked me to create an OM NOM NOM club. Apparently Brickeens is in on this too.

SOMEWHAT LATE TO THE PARTY BUT HEY HERE GOES Xaeraz hugs the "Sumikube" - the official BrickFair 2012 mascot. Consisting of a Companion Cube Plushie with a hat and huge sunglasses, it was a big hit at the tables, especially during the public hours. The Sumikube sits amongst my MOCs. Zatth poses with the Sumikube. When Avohkah Tamer showed up, I just had to stick my panda/fez/shades combo on him. I have pictures of others doing this, but AT's was probably the best. On the
Here are some random ideas for Bionicle: Year One.
Opening sequence: No extra work here, just the already-made '01 video of the canisters falling from the sky, with possibly some drums in the background to increase the intensity. I was also thinking that the video could flash onto the screen and fade out, much like the effect used on the text in those "WE ARE WAITING" banners.
The video continues, until we see Onua explode out of the can. Onua's parts are in the background, and smoke is ri
*peers around corner nervously* Hi, y'all. It's been a hot minute. Life's been bananas, but the semester is drawing to a conclusion and though I have much left on my plate to finish before January, I fulfilled my obligations and saw The Last Jedi. Going into it, I was somewhat nervous for where the series was headed. I really enjoyed The Force Awakens, though perhaps my enthusiasm was amplified by the fact that I was seeing a Star Wars film on the big screen when I thought for years that
Some of you may be wondering about me and my sanity due to my various profile updates, which have, as of late, been getting around outside BZP. There's now a Wisdom of Sumiki tumblr and twitter. (I cannot take credit for the operation of either of those accounts.) I also feel as if my activity on here has waned a bit, and I'd like to take a step towards rectifying it. Thus, I decided that it's time for another Blogarithm Contest. Let's talk about my status updates for a minute - specifically,
I realized that they still sold the old lime-green ball joints on Pick-a-Brick, and so I ordered some. This was built one night while Brickeens was sleeping. | | Also, I've noticed that older old-style ball joints seem to hold axles better than newer old-style ball joints. Half the time, I was MOCing, and the other half, I was retrieving the wings from the floor.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN I AM PLEASED TO INFORM YOU THAT THIS IS INDEED BRICKEENS' BIRTHDAY, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS 'BIRKDAY" LAST NIGHT I REALIZED THIS AND DREW A COMIC FOR THE OCCASION THERE ARE MANY INSIDE JOKES IN IT SO IF YOU READ IT AND DON'T GET IT, DON'T WORRY PAGE I | PAGE II | PAGE III
