Concerning A New Small Story

Gee, last week/early this week, I had a ton of stuff to blog about, but it seems that I've run dry of ideas. Hmm...   Anyway, as to deal with real life, I have been working towards my play, Shakespeare's Midsummers Night Dream. Opening night is next week. Since it's double casted, it won't be my opening night, but still I'll have to be there to help out in some form or another.   Only other thing I could think to blog about was that story I referenced to. Well, when I was building my BBC e

Squid Eye

Wouldn't you know it, I was REALLY bored while taking pictures of my BBC entry, so I put a few things together and took a shot of it, and then spruced it up a bit on Paintshop Pro. I was thinking about writing a short comedy about it, just to get some of my writing back into the BZP forums outside of SoMN. But then I remembered that a picture is worth a thousand words, and my comedy would've probably been about 300...   Which didn't stop me from throwing in about 20 more words, not to mention

Spot The Minifigure Game!

I got a little bored while taking picts of my latest BBC entry.   Here's hoping the image doesn't make my blog explode...     First person to get it right... get to post about it first. Ha ha.

Just Checking...

Like a few days ago, I added this chapter to SoMN. It's not a great chapter, but I didn't think it was half bad. But, what, no reviews? Now I'm just being obnoxious...   And I'll see if this blog entry alerts anyone...

Angry...

I'm ticked. I got my car rear-ended today. Sure, it was at a stop sign and it was at less than 10 MPH, but I'm still ticked, because the guy tailgated me all the way down the road, which was congested enough from school being let out. The damage is hardly there, but it's the thought that counts.   If I could, I would like all tailgaters to have to walk on their hands and knees everywhere and be banned from ever, EVER, using cars again.

Of Ap

IT'S OVER!   AP Comparative World Gov... is finished. I don't think I did too badly on it. AP Calculus AB... While I didn't finish everything, what I did put down is most likely accurate AP English Literature and Composition... I don't care how badly I did, I just dom't.   Now I can focus my energies on...   MIDSUMMERS NIGHT DREAM!   Which opens in three weeks... yikes.

Dude... Cogito Ergo Sum

Double Blog Entry in less than an hour, but I just had to post this...   I was trying to find something to put in my sig, so I put in this Descartes joke I heard from my friend. (I think I even got the joke written down correctly). Anyway, just to look up Descartes's name (because I'm copy/pasteing it instead of typeing it) I logged onto Wikipedia and looked up the article "Cogito ergo sum" (I think, therefore I am". Anyway, I read some of the "Pop-culture references" and laughed at a few of

Refering To Politics...

I really, really don't want to get into them.   Sorry, but politicians drive me crazy. Sure, maybe they're the one's who actually "get stuff done" in our society, but I'm sure they spend too much time argueing. Politics always has two sides to everything, so no matter what topic you're thinking of, you can find people argueing for your view, the opposing view, and a third view that you had never even thought of.   All of which is to make me wonder why I'm taking Comparative World Government.

Curse Of Advanced Placement

The dreaded AP tests. I've been suffering in the classes all year, and now it'll come down to the final sacrifice. Comparative World Government, Calculus AB, and English Literature... all next week. My brain will be mush by Friday, if not sooner.   That, and the opening night for my next theatrical preformance is in about three weeks, and my lines / blocking aren't great. Sure, it was easy enough for the musical... one cast and I could drop everything. Now I have all this other achedemic s

Returned...

Gone for a very long trip to New York to go see a ton of plays on Broadway. And mind that I come from the other coast too. It was an amazing trip, but it took alot of time, now I'm catching up on sleep. But I came to check if anything new was going on at BZPower. Wanted to see if I got any replies to anything.   I didn't.   Now why am I obsessed with this site again?

Okay Now...

Okay, so I probably overreacted in that last Blog entry. Information was released on line and on the TV news, just not by the teachers. And maybe DD was right… they probably didn’t want panic attacks and everything. It still annoyed me, but it’s over now. Sounds like whoever was causing the problems got caught.   Anyway, for such a Blog entry, I’m banning myself from BZP for a week.   J/K. But really, I’ll be going on a trip for a week. And since it’ll be a lot of “seeing new stuff, h

Lockdown?

Rant coming on...   Okay, so my High School went into Lockdown mode today. Not extreme, "hide under your dest, the mad man is in the hallway" lockdown, but just "don't go out of the building" lockdown. Are they more paranoid after that whole thing at V. Tech? Maybe, and I believe there was even a copycat threat sent to a local University branch. So if the school wants to keep us locked up and safe, then good for them. I'd appreciate it, especially if some madman with a gun is on the loose.

Second Is The Best...

Not in the prelim polls, though, but it's good enough for me. 20 votes over all, 19 other people who liked the MOC over all others, and me. Not bad.   I have noticed an increase in votes for my creations in the last few contests I've entered. So instead of getting hardly noticed, I end up trailing behind first place, but with a lot more votes than previous contests. Maybe I'm getting to be a better MOCist, maybe the competition is slacking off (probably not) but I'm feeling better about my

Alpha Two One Niner...

If that title has any meaning anywhere else, I have no idea what it is. I think I may have heard it before as some radio thing you can say, but as to it's meaning, I'm drawing a total blank. Sounds cool for a title, though...   And it has relevense. I'm in BBC 42 Poll Alpha. Boy, they sure got into a lot of Greek Letters this time. Anyway, if you want to check out the poll, please do so, and vote for the best MOC there.   Also, big thanks to Tufi for actually putting the polls together.

Bitter Sweet

Uh, yeah.   I just got back from a collage trip, looking at a top notch university that I may be going to. While alot of it was kinda dull, it's an exciting experience and I think I know where I'm going. They're engineering courses are good, but allow for some other things to do as well, like maybe even drama...   The irony cuts deep that, when I get home, I hear about this shooting at another university across the country. It just kinda makes me sick to think that kind of stuff still happe

Revival Of Creativity

Well, not that my creativity ever went away, but it just hasn't been posted in a while...   Anyway, a nice, big, NEW chapter of Slizers on Mata Nui has been added. Big battle scene. Lots of Matoran characters. Toa! (Yeah, but not the right kind). No Slizers, but they're still in there. This puts some of our favorite villagers back into the action. In fact, there's no worms present at all in the chapter.   Plus, sometime soon, I'll be posting my BBC 42 entry. Sure, I built it on like

How Comes...

How come, when somebody risks their life to help another in a situation like a drowning or a house fire, if they succeed, they're hailed as a hero, and if they fail, they're considered stupid for trying?   No particular reason for this, just thinking.

Just A Little Game...

What better way to revamp my interest in Slizers on Mata-Nui than by creating a card game out of it!   **   Maj Shelf of Cards   Okay, I don't have the rules up yet or all the cards I have planned (these are just the ones with easy pictures). But, yeah, I got bored so I created a card game, using Slizers and Zarxec and even Matoran. I played it with my friend with physical cards, and it went okay. I just need to create a wider selection of characters... I have sixteen cards created, and I

And Then The Pen Poked His Eye Out...

This week hasn't been exceptionally great. But it turns out I write better when I'm depressed or angry. Maybe my year's been too good lately, so I haven't had the right conditions to really write stuff. Anyhow, I wrote a chapter...   Chapter 9   And   Chapter 43   Its up to you to decide which I already had written and which I finished this week.

Bee Hunting

Just 'cause my old middleschool are the Hornets doesn't mean I like them (in fact, it may give me extra incentive to kill 'em). But, anyway, with the warm weather comes the yellowjackets, and they're swarming around my house. A flyswatter can get some, but most fly out of range. Therefore, a Supersoker needs to be used to drench those flying to high.   Truth be told, I only got one so wet that it hit the floor and got swatted. But now the rest of those wasps will think twice before coming aroun

Brickfest

I thought I might as well post a blog on this, partly because I wanted too, and partly because Omi, KIE, and Mak all urged me too.   Brickfest was a fun experience. I got to see alot of LEGO Bricks from all sorts of generies. A few of my creations were on display, and although they had the cute factor down, they were meager compared to all those other MOCs. It was a cool event, and I got to meet a few people that, so far, I'd only reconized them by their avatar (or color of font, in Makar

Closing Night

Tonights the last preformance of Once Upon a Mattress, the High School Musical I get to star in. I get to do alot of stuff, although most of the funny things involve falling over or begging. I have sung a few songs, and I haven't completely totally messed up on all of them at once. Sure, I have some things to improve on, but I'm hoping tonights gonna be the best night of the bunch.   Plus, no matter what, it'll be over after tonight, so that'll be a relief. Then I can think about other stuf

The Lego Store

I finally found out where my local Lego store is!   Sure, it's an hour away on the opposite end of Portland, but still, it's closer than the one in Seattle.   Anyway, I got to see a whole lot of sets, some of the little extras Lego makes that aren't sold elsewhere, and got to see the Barakki. I saw exactly how Ehlek is built... so the next time I can get my hands on him, he's mine! Coincidentlly, there were three sets of Barakki models on display around the stores, but they're sold out at

Musical

Every heard of the play "Once Upon a Mattress"?   No? Okay, ever heard of the story "The Princess and the Pea"?   Well, anyway... I'm playing a lead role in this musical which is based off said story, with lots of humor, singing, and... well, good acting in general. I've been preparing for it all week, and its been alot of work and time. But tonight we're opening. And it's gona be pretty fun.   Except for one song. One song I don't have down perfectly. Oh well, I'll meander through most
