Your Owls Are Hooting

99 on Algebra 2 test 69 on Chemistry test (the math part of chemistry >>....not cool)   My 360 is starting to freeze on me. Darned Hard Drive got infected somehow...I'll probably have to get a new one. It's really odd though; I've had my 360 for nearly 7 months, and it just started freezing. Some game I played recently must not have gone to well with my Hard Drive. Hopefully I'll be able to move all of my saves and data onto a USB flash drive and then transfer that to a new Hard Drive. You Knew What This Was

Gas is down UNDER TWO DOLLARS. If you actually have to pay for your gas to get you places, you know how awesome this is. If you still suffer from expensive gas prices...hope they get better for you.   Today was my first day of work, though. I really enjoyed it, except for the part where I was standing for 5 hours straight. My feet and knees are killing me.

Wii

K, so I got a Wii early Sunday morning, and am I glad I did.   First off, the console is just plain fun. Wii Sports comes packaged with the console, and right after I set up the Wii I was swinging away in Tennis. My favorite game is definately the Boxing one. Bowling was pretty fun as well. I was also able to score the Legend of Zelda yesterday. Lordy, that game is pure ownage. The graphics aren't even that bad, really. Now, they aren't anywhere near like what a 360 or a PS3 can do, but for su

Why Is It

Why is that you only ever -really- want Chic-Fil-A on Sunday, the one day that they are closed?   Sausage burrito would have been so good this morning...

While You Were Gone

Welcome back to the forums, everyone! It sure has been a while.   Two weekends ago I went whitewater rafting on the Ocoee river in Ocoee Tennessee. This was my first time ever going rafting on rapids. I must say, it was quite the thrill. The scenery was absolutely stunning. The Ocoee river twists throughout gorgeous eastern Tennessee mountains. The mountain sides were sprinkled with orange and red trees. The water was crisp and cool. That weekend was on the cooler side; the highs for the day ma

Where Have You Been?

I logged into the forums to update the Staff History topic (Thanks, Ziko!) and noticed I had a birthday topic I hadn't checked out yet. A few people commented about my inactivity on the forums.   Over the past six months I've started a real job and moved into my own apartment. Full-time work takes a good bit of energy out of you, and I chose to relax mostly by watching Netflix, Hulu or playing my Xbox with friends. I hate to admit it, but BZPower isn't always on my mind when I get home. However,

When I Go Out

"When I go out I play in the street I get hit by cars I make mashed potatoes I get hit by cars!!"   This blog entry is dedicated to the former band Five Iron Frenzy. Quite possibly the best band of all time. Never have I heard such witty and moving songs in the same album, with beats that just make you wanna smash something.   I nearly cried when they broke up, because I knew I'd never be blessed to see them play live. If I could have one wish granted, it would be that FIF got back togeth

What Makes A Man A Man

So I haven't updated in a while, I thought I might go ahead and do so.   First off, I'm a Forum Leader now, which is pretty cool. I had been on the staff for three years as ST/FA and four years would have been in May. I'm enjoying the new power. Haven't taken or given proto from anyone yet, so beware.   Anywho, I found a twist on a popular blog/bulletin game. Instead of listing the song titles, it's up to you (the readers) to figure out the titles and artists. Here we go!   Step 1: Put iTun

Weather Outside Is Delightful

I don't know about where you guys live, but down here in Alabama the weather has been absolutely gorgeous this week. We've had the windows open in my house during the day. There is absolutely no humidity at night. It. is. marvelous.   The highs have only been in the mid 80s and the lows have been upper 60s. I love it. Driving with my windows down at night, blaring music like The Album Leaf, Sufjan Stevens, Tegan and Sara, and Eddie Vedder is an almost surreal experience.   Today is October 1

Watchmen

This was an excellent movie. I enjoyed it through and through. The opening was very interesting, weaving a path through an alternate, but not to different American history. The part with JFK looked frighteningly realistic, and now that I think about it, adds to The Comedian's character and how he viewed life.   It was a very R-rated film. Anything less and I don't think the film would have been nearly as good, because it was necessary that this film have a dark, sinister feel to it. Yes, even

Wanted

So if you didn't know already, I'm a movie fanatic. Nearly every weekend I watch at least one movie. And since summer is the best time for movies, I'm spending way too much time (and money - $9 for a ticket here) at the Rave (our theatre).   This weeks big premier was Wanted.   *mind = blown*   The movie starts off with two intense chase scenes that pull you into the movie's tight grasp. It never seems to let go, until the credits start rolling. This movie had more twists that Shyamalan's la

Want Some Books?

Yes, you do.   And you will bid on them.   *jedimindtricksftw*   So my 360 won't play any games now. I guess I'll have to send it to Microsoft for them to repair.   Again.

So I found out that I'm exempt from all of my exams except for one. I'm not too worried about taking it, though, it's only English. The only thing I'm worried about is not getting enough time to finish the composition after the actual test. But I managed to pull out an essay (including outline, rough draft, and editing the rough draft) in about 30 minutes or so today. But once I'm done with this exam...   School's out for the year!!   A lot of people I know aren't getting out until -next- w

Unprepared

Here I lie at nearly 1 o'clock in the morning, only a third done writing this oral book report. Sure, I can finish writing it tonight, but that doesn't mean I'll actually be ready to present it later this morning. It's not my fault I was so enveloped by the book that I spent three hours finishing the book. I wanted to know if Sirius Black was innocent!   Needless to say, I'll have another book report assigned within the next two weeks, so I won't be able to start up on the next HP book. The wa

Ungh

So tomorrow is my first test of 2007. The test is on American Lit, so it should be fairly easy to memorize all of the authors and such...I just wish they didn't throw in artists too. Hopefully I'll do exceptionally well on this test, because I pretty much bombed the first quiz (but it was a pop-quiz, so it's not my fault ).   But anywho, Lost Planet comes out on Friday!! I'm probably more excited about this game than I was for GoW. I didn't know how good GoW was until I bought it, but I actua

Uncle John

Well, I told you all that I was going to be an uncle soon, and as of Sunday, December 16, 8:05 PM, 2007, I became an uncle. My sister had a rough time and eventually had to have a C-Section to keep herself and her baby out of danger. Everything went fine, and they were able to go home today. His name is Ian, and he's about the cutest baby ever.   Anywho, I'll be taking my first two real exams tomorrow in Physics and College Algebra. I could have been exempt of Physics if I only did more of my

Uncle John

I was trying to keep the blog entries down to once a week, but today was a special day.   Today, I found out that I'm an uncle!! Yes, my oldest sister is pregnant. Quite literally, it's a miracle and I'm so incredibly happy for her. I've been waiting for the news ever since she got married and now it's happened. I don't think I can wait until January. Heck, I know I'll most likely cry when I see the baby for the first time.   I hope it's a boy!   Oh, and I'm about to becme a key holder (clo

Two Weeks

You guys. I have exactly two weeks of classes left in my undergraduate career.   Every time I think about it, I get a little anxious and a butterflies-in-my-stomach type of feeling. I'm really excited, but at the same time I'm pretty scared. Not scared so much as... unsure, really. Unsure of what's going to happen over the next year or so.   I've applied for an iPhone development internship that would pay really well and would be an absolutely fantastic experience because I want to get into th

Too Coo Fo School

School starts tomorrow. Means I have to go to bed at an earlier time and wake up at a WAY earlier time. I won't be on BZP as much in the day, but I don't have a job yet, so once I get home from school I should be on for a while. Though, I need a job, soon, cause...I keep on SPENDING money...and I need to MAKE some money.

Tomorrow Is Going To Be A Good Day

Let's see:   *New Relient K CD comes out tomorrow.   *Don't have to to go "school" tomorrow. We are having a "work day" to raise money for the Jr/Sr Banquet.   *A friend and I plan on stopping by Chic-fil-A tomorrow before we have to go to "work". Breakfast burritos FTW.   But oh, research papers FOR THE LOSS. I really don't care why some particular author wrote the way he did.   Crackdown is one of the coolest games ever. Along with Lost Planet. And also Gears of War.

To Whom It May Concern

Just a few updates:   Nintendo Wii is going to cost $250 and will be released on November 19th, 2006. Count me and a pre-ordered copy of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess in.   The Wii's interface doesn't seem that bad either. I was a little worried about what Nintendo was going to do, but these "Channels" are pretty interesting.   On the other hand:   I went for a job interview today. I had to take a test that was 261 questions long. I haven't sat down since. Anywho, I've basically

To The Beach

So I'll be leaving to go to the beach tomorrow. I'll be gone until late Friday, so don't expect to see much of me (I haven't been on much anyways, but, I just had to post a formal notice of absence). So yeah, I can't wait. I haven't been to the beach in about a year.   Anywho, Six Flags was a b.l.a.s.t. The "Goliath" is their newest coaster and it was awesome. It wasn't anything too special, but with all the hills you pretty much get airborne and "lose your stomach", which is the best feeling
