I think what's more important is that you're alright.

Mmm we've moved to a safer location for now, while most the water is gone from our home, we still don't have any power and most the roads are shut off, so we're holding tight here for the weekend.

Floods are bad, but at least with them you can move to another location. Some other disasters you can't predict.
