Pending For Approval

Inferna Firesword

My Halo: Retribution profiles, that is. I've got two Hunters and a Skirmisher sent along, a Drone in the works, and an ODST concept that I'm currently toying with turning into a character, depending on how I feel. :P

Until Vak approves them, consider these unofficial. Now approved by Vak. =D

BZP Username: Inferna Firesword

Character Name: Zarana Fehra Veru

Species: Hunter (Mgalekgolo)

Affiliation: Infantry

Rank: Regular

Faction: UNSC-Sangheili Alliance

Specialize in: Shock-and-awe/“can-opening”

Primary Weapon: Hunter Assault Cannon

Side-Arm: Hunter Shield

Grenade: None (because Hunters are powerful enough as is; they don’t need grenades)

Appearance: Like any Hunter, Zarana is huge and heavy. Standing at about fifteen feet, Zarana’s armor is the blue-grey color of the armor she wore while in service to the Covenant, but with the difference that she has UNSC markings instead of Covenant markings. Her slightly higher-pitched vocalizations have led to her being dubbed a “female,” but as Mgalekgolo are androgynous, it’s hard to tell if that’s actually the case.

Biography: Zarana is the “dominant” half of the Fehra pair, as the colony that makes up her being is the colony that had some of its number split off to become Kaldera. Both Fehras served in the Human-Covenant War under the Covenant, but joined the Separatists when the empire became “a house divided.” 37 years later, they still faithfully serve in the Alliance, mostly menial tasks that requires heavy lifting or combat situations that require “can-opening” (a tactic that involves a pair of fully-armed Hunters being set down in front of a fortified enemy stronghold and pointed towards the area that needs to go away).

As the dominant Mgalekgolo, Zarana is the leader: she often speaks for both herself and her bond-brother when others approach them. Being technically older, she is wiser and tends to be more aware of other allies when on the battlefield, meaning she sometimes holds back on clean shots at her enemies to avoid committing friendly-fire.

BZP Username: Inferna Firesword

Character Name: Kaldera Fehra Selre

Species: Hunter (Mgalekgolo)

Affiliation: Infantry

Rank: Regular

Faction: UNSC-Sangheili Alliance

Specialize in: Shock-and-awe/“can-opening”

Primary Weapon: Hunter Assault Cannon

Side-Arm: Hunter Shield

Grenade: None (because Hunters are powerful enough as is; they don’t need grenades)

Appearance: Like any Hunter, Kaldera is huge and heavy. Standing at about fifteen feet, Kaldera’s armor is the blue-grey color of the armor he wore while in service to the Covenant, but with the difference that he has UNSC markings instead of Covenant markings. His vocalizations are deeper than his bond-sister’s, leading him to be labeled as a “male,” but as Mgalekgolo are androgynous, it’s hard to tell if that’s actually the case.

Biography: Kaldera is the bond-brother of Zarana Fehra Veru and the “submissive” of the pair (his colony of Lekgolo split off from her’s): he will follow her lead, even if he thinks she has the wrong idea. After the glorious years of War, general inactivity feels like torture to the “younger” Hunter, but as the Remnant still hangs around in the background, and there’s still rebellions going on, he’s willing to bid his time for deployment. It’s a bit difficult to get Kaldera to do anything if Zarana isn’t around to keep him in line, and he still sticks to the idea of sacrificing others to finish a job, which sometimes puts him at odds with his bond-sister.

BZP Username: Inferna Firesword

Character Name: Ket

Species: Jackal (Kig-Yar)

Affiliation: Infantry

Rank: Skirmisher

Faction: Has Eayn Insurrection leanings, but isn’t fully committed to any side

Specialize in: Acrobatic ambush

Primary Weapon: Needle Rifle

Side-Arm: Plasma Pistol

Grenade: Plasma

Appearance: Ket is a female Skirmisher-type Kig-Yar, with greenish-brown skin, neon yellow eyes, and feathers that are the color of mud. She stands at about 6’3” tall, is roughly 39 years old by Human reckoning, and weighs about 93 pounds out of combat gear. She also has a gold Human earring her mother took off a dead civilian during the War, which she keeps as a lucky charm.

Biography: Ket had hatched two years prior to the end of the Human-Covenant War, with both of her parents being Skirmishers that were not deployed to Reach – an event that caused the death of many Skirmisher Kig-Yar. Her parents became Uggnoy slavers after the War ended, but she inherited her mother’s lucky charm – the gold earring her mother took off a dead Human civilian – after an operation went awry. These days, like any sensible Kig-Yar, she sells herself out to the highest bidder, but currently has sympathies – and possibly connections to – the Eayn Insurrectionists.

Cynical and pessimistic at heart, Ket sees the universe through the eyes of a disinterested businesswoman: so long as she gets paid, it doesn’t matter what side she’s fighting for, since everyone’s going to die at some point anyway. A practiced liar, she prizes her own life over the lives of her employers, and will betray them in a heartbeat if it saves her. The most loyalty she has is to her species: Kig-Yar in general, Skirmishers in particular.
