I hate panel 12 so much. Don't get me wrong: I'm fine with it as is now, but I kept trying to make Kakaru hit the rahkshi over the head with his staff and it just didn't flow or make sense. For one, the rahkshi is supposed to be way taller than both of them, so there was no angle to show him hitting it that made it dramatic or comedic enough without looking cluttered. That, and Velox has katanas strapped to his back, and it made no sense for them to just run when he has a completely feasible means of defense. I finally got tired of messing with it and just let him drop his mask, which showed that there's no way either of them would even consider taking on a rahkshi and by extension that katanas would be ineffective against protodermic armour.

I forgot the shading in p#9. I don't think I care since it's a text gag anyways. :|

I liked the idea of Kakaru pretending to be a rahkshi on the pretense that it's a valid method of camouflage. It offset the tension from the first four panels, making the appearance of the rahkshi in p#11 more unexpected and frightening. This also allowed me to establish that Kakaru's not quite right in the head, something that will be developed further on. It also allowed me to establish Velox as the vaugely-sarcastic straight man to Kakaru's off-the-wall personality, lending him the fact that, although he's an avid RPer, doesn't mean to punch through floors. He's quite a bit stronger than he lets on.

I guess that's it. This was a pretty simple comic aside from that bleeding uncooperative panel. :confusedw:
