Les Mis and TDKR

holy cow my mind has been blown over the past two days. seriously.

My brother was in a production of Les Mis, so I went to see it on Saturday night. It was incredible, to say the least. I've seen the movie but I've never seen the play, so I didn't know what to expect, but it was brilliant. I've actually never seen anything like it. I couldn't sleep afterwards becasue it was simply so glorious and my emotions were all jumbled up.

hurgh

Then, as if I hadn't blown my mind enough, I went to see TDKR on Sunday, and wiped out every last trace of my brain. I won't spoil anything, but, suffice to say, it too was glorious. I didn't know how Chris Nolan was going to pull it off, but he did. It was amazing.

So now here I am with an empty skull because I've overdosed on awesome.

Les Misérables for the win. But man, seeing both that and TDKR, I can see why you have an empty skull. =P They are both brilliant and amazing.

Oh oh oh oh oh!!! Les Mis!! I love it more than TDKR, I must admit. But yes, echoing what Velox said. They're both awesome.

:kaukau: Les Miserables is my favorite play of all time and also my favorite musical. It's about time you've seen it, and now that you have I'd like to welcome you to the club of people who have truly lived. You have to watch recordings of the Tenth Anniversary Concert (which involved a very minimal amount of acting, just so you know beforehand). Colm Wilkinson as Jean Valjean is simply amazing.

I envy your brother, by the way. If I could be in any play, it would be Les Miserables, but it will take a while before that dream comes true.

Why am I not surprised by the people commenting here. I read the title and knew the three of you would comment.

If Nuju was here, he would also have commented.

Oh my goodness, yes. Colm Wilkinson is amazing. But yeah I definitely agree. People who haven't seen it are definitely deprived, as it is the greatest thing that has come to theatre, be it musical or otherwise.

And lol @ Onarax.
