My views of the Comics Forum 2.0 - Part 4

Eljay: Toa of Mangosteen

This should be the last one. This time, I wanted to make some of the Comic Forum veterans.

Disclaimer: If you are angry at any of these, then... Well, sorry. These aren't meant to offend. Also no reason to get angry, as chances are these represent something you've either said or done, or a comedic representation of something. All in good humor.

Last batch!

Comic Veterans

Akano

Dark709

The Chilli God

The Editorialist

Varaka

Pepena

Lavaside Rahi

Dented Ruru

Mike G

Authors note: These are some of my favorites, for a few reasons. For starters, T-E was an awesome comic maker. He had some of the funniest comics around, and was absolutely ahead of his game. Then, Varaka was the guy who inspired me to make comics in the first place. I loved his comics a lot, and that later went to to make me develop some of my comedy, humor, etc. I read Dented Ruru's comics all the time. They were great, and one of the first few Multi-Author series. You may know some other names here, and some you would have never heard of. All in all, really cool people and funny comic makers.

Second disclaimer: Some may notice I can do things of a higher quality regarding graphics, but these aren't meant to be serious. Even I dislike them. Hate them as you will. I shall gather tomatoes to throw at them.

Credit to Varderan for the kit!

Enjoy guys!

The Editorialist one made me a little bit sad.

The Dark709 one was really good.

And if Akano comes out with that book, I will most certainly buy and read it. :P

'Tis a fortune waiting for me to obtain!

I remember many of these great comic makers. T-E was not only an inspiration for me but a great mind to work with when I worked on Psycho Dogs & Carbonated Beverages. Denty was another PDACB mind who was quite fun (and I believe he guest starred in my comics as an Entei). Mike G was famous for (I believe) Tales of the Chibi Toa, another awesome series that inspired me to do comics. I remember when LR and Dark709 started their comics (you know, before he did movies), and I think The Chili God's topic was the longest running comic series next to mine (depending on when he stopped, his may have lasted longer before the downtime).

I love what you did for me. A tribute to the comics forum is much appreciated, and that you included me is very kind. :)

Well, how could I forget to add you! Glad you enjoyed it. These were my favorites cause they were very influential comic makers, and absolutely funny. I'm just amazed you've made it this long. Your comics have always been really funny, and I remember reading them a while back and running around saying 'Moo!" =P

And I think Chilli made his comics until about 5 months before the downtime. I talked to him, and he sadly lost interest =/

But yeah, glad you liked them, and thanks for still making comics and inspiring people!

(BTW, people I did forget were Wise One, Litoru, Pak Man, Dokuma, Tahuri, etc)

By pure chance, I stumbled upon this blog post today... and you know what? It made me really happy.

I realize it's been over 6 years since I've posted any new content (and 2 years since this post was made, are there blog revival rules haha?)

Eljay, your little graphic of me has lit the old nostalgia fuse within me. I love it. I miss the 3 [sometimes 4] Kakamas.

For the first time in years I've found myself looking at old comics from myself and my fellow artists. It's quite a trip to say the least- It's a real shame BZP got hacked. I've been digging through old archives on Brickshelf trying to find stuff from a lot of the people on your list. Thanks for making my day, bud.

Cheers,

PePena
