Haha, finally taking my advice! That's the ticket! The ticket is one-way and non-transferable and no refunds.

Also, it looks like we posted our blog entries at the same time. XD Stop creeping, bro. It doesn't suit you.

Anyway, How do you type with boxing gloves on?

Did you know that gods of death.... love APPLES?! -insert dramatic music-

Why is your real name forever shrouded in mystery? Why not shroud it with a ball of yarn?

You have the opportunity to go back to one year in the 1990s. Which year is this, and why?

You are given control over the English alphabet, but it is limited. You must eliminate one consonant and add one vowel. Which consonant do you eliminate? Which vowel do you add, and what purpose does it serve?

You are transported to Ponyville, but you are only given the opportunity to visit one pony. Which pony do you choose?

Yes, of the two of us, I'm the creeper. :P

The same way Homestar types with no hands.

I'll give you this strawberry if you keep it a secret, okay?

Because mystery is intangible and thus unable to unshrouded by mere mortals.

1997, so that I can obtain all the LEGO Pirates sets I wanted to get but never did and not have to spend exorbitant amounts of money on BrickLink to do so.

I would get rid of C, as all its purposes are fulfilled by K and S, and the CH sound would be written as TSH. The vowel I would introduce would be ʎ, which is the sound of the "gl" in famiglia and the "ll" in tortilla which English speakers tend not to be able to pronounce correctly.

You are transported to Ponyville, but you are only given the opportunity to visit one pony. Which pony do you choose?

Very tough choice...I would have to say Applejack, because she seems like she would be a kind and loyal honest friend. Also, she has a farm where I could meet and dream of farm animals (especially moos!).

Very good questions. Keep 'em coming!

Huh... I thought you would've liked to meet Pinkie Pie to study the laws of physics around her and all...

Of course, I'd meet Pinkie because she has the best smile. XP

Anyway Akano, Y U NO UPDATE COMICS ON A WEEKLY BASIS?

Also, If you could select only one mask from the Bionicle story to use in real life, which mask would you choose and why?

While this is a fair point, I stand by my answer.

The really creepy one where she goes crazy?

Anyway Akano, Y U NO UPDATE COMICS ON A WEEKLY BASIS?

Because reasons. Mainly grad school being a time-consumer (I really do need to update, though. I've made so many set reviews and no comics...).

Also, If you could select only one mask from the Bionicle story to use in real life, which mask would you choose and why?

That's another toughy. It's a tossup right now between the Kakama and Matatu. Speed would be good so I could visit anywhere I wanted in the blink of an eye, but telekinesis would give me access to many fun things, like flying and Jedi Force powers...

Categorize the sub atomic particles in order of preference.

There are so many subatomic particles; let's do a top five-ish. :P

Photon, electron, proton, neutron, neutrino.

Favorite String Theory Joke?

The one from xkcd:

"I just had an awesome idea. Suppose all matter and energy is made of tiny, vibrating 'strings.'"

"Okay. What would that imply?"

"I dunno."

Least favorite thing about physics.

The semiclassical approximation. It's used all the time in Thermodynamics, and is very useful (because it does describe real life phenomena), but it's just so wishy-washy. Since thermodynamics deals with how quantum mechanical particles (like air molecules) behave in large groups (like in a room), the semiclassical approximation is one that treats the situation as a weird mix of quantum and classical mechanical properties. The distinction between which aspects of each theory you keep or ignore is very pick-and-choosey, which drives me crazy. And yet it works! GAH!

I'll bite: Why do you have pictures of hieroglyphics on the sidebar?

Those are the hieroglyphs from my favorite LEGO set, 5988 Pharaoh's Forbidden Ruins, and are there because I wanted to decorate my sidebar, and I like Egypt. :P I am thinking of a redecoration for my blog, though.

What would you be doing, had you not pursued Physics?

Voice acting, and that's also still an option that I would like to pursue in the future. KK and I have ideas for stuffs, and I can't wait to get started on them. This also requires I not be busy. :P

Keep the questions coming! This is fun! :)

You have the means to create a time machine (only works to go back), but if you go back in time, your memory is wiped and you can't go back. What time period do you spend the rest of your life in?

You are given the opportunity to visit one location in the solar system (excluding earth). Where do you go?

What's the difference between a duck?

You are transported to the far future. Humanity has bases on the Moon, Venus, Mercury, and Mars, as well as on Ganymede, Callisto, Europa, and Titan. You cannot stay on Earth do to a serious crisis. Where do you decide to go?

You are somehow alive billions of years from now when the sun rapidly expands to approximately the radius of Mars. What outer planet to you live on for the rest of your days?

You find yourself in a strange room that can only be described as "shady" and "bleak." Before you sits the only piece of furniture in the room; a small table with two flasks on them. One flask contains a pink elixir in a sophisticated looking glass bottle. The other container is silver and the contents are unknown. A voice echoes through the room and says "One contains the secret to eternal life. The other; the secret to eternal happiness." The voice vanishes. What do you decide to do?

Also, if you were given one million dollars to use purely to improve the world; what would you do?

The 90s to relive my childhood. Also to learn physics again, since some mean time machine stole that from me. Also for LEGO sets that I wub.

Here.

What's the difference between a duck?

sqrt(3)

I say, why is a raven like a writing desk?

They both have quills and do not appreciate being sawed in half.

Also, what's the difference between a duck and a magical ballerina princess?

A trumpeter swan.

Mars, then I'd visit the Galilean moons, and retire on Titan. Mercury and Venus be too hot.

Whichever one is in the new habitable zone (actually, probably on Europa or Encedalus, as they have water).

If I had a nickel for every time this scenario was brought up. I would first try to see if there were a way out. If not, I'd probably pick the pink elixir, and provided the voice was honest, be okay with either result.

Also, if you were given one million dollars to use purely to improve the world; what would you do?

Start an endowment or similar fund that accrues interest over time, and use some of the interest to fund Science Olympiad and other charitable endeavors.

MOAR QUEZCHUNS!

What influenced you in taking an interest in comic making?

Once upon a time, when all comics were made with Razor sprites, there were some awesome comic makers with awesome comics on this awesome site known as :bzpower:. There was Tales of the Chibi Toa, Matreid's Comics, Litoru's Comics, and, of course, Psycho Dogs and Carbonated Beverages. Seeing these funny comics inspired me to get a sprite kit and just learn the basics of MSPaint, then, when I was familiar enough with everything, I started making my own comics. And the rest, as they say, is history...

Why isn't the meaning of life?

Why can't I fly?

Clearly because you aren't trying hard enough.

:kaukau: WHERE ARE THEY?[/batman voice]

In my garden. Where else would garden gnomes be?

Seriously, this is addicting. More! MORE!!

Tenuk: Back when there were classics like PDACB, Matreid's Comics, Tales of the Chibi Toa, and others floating around. :) As far as the comics forum goes, I don't actually peruse the topics too much there (unlike the olden days). However, I do see a lot of flashy Photoshop/GIMP backgrounds and effects a lot more than I did before. If that works for other comickers, great, but I'm not of that style. :)

KK: Oh nice and chubby baby! 8D

Also, YOU DID SOMETHING ACTIVE ON THE FORUMS ZOMG!!1!

If anyone still has questions, they're more than welcome to ask.

Certainly! Lenz's Law says something to the effect that an electromotive force will produce a current that opposes the original change in magnetic flux of the system. In other words, moving magnets induce currents. This is also represented as one of Maxwell's Equations,

faraday.png

Basically, if you have a loop of wire and move a magnet in and out of it, you will create an alternating current. If you leave the magnet in the loop without moving it, then the loop of wire will have no current, because the magnetic field going through the loop is unchanging. Similarly, if you send a current through a loop of wire, a magnetic field will form through the center of the loop. This concept is used in Helmholtz coils, which produce a near uniform magnetic field in the center of two identical loops of wires separated by one radius.

This is also how most power is generated; if you spin a magnet, you generate a straight current. Hydroelectric power uses water currents to spin a giant magnetic turbine to produce a current; nuclear power plants smash neutrons into heavy, radioactive atoms which produce a lot of heat...which heats steam which spins a turbine. Coal power plants burn coal to heat something that cranks a turbine to generate a current...does that clarify it for you?

Keep asking questions!
