Same has happened to me many a time.

 

One time, if I remember correctly, I may have woken up in more than five layers of dreams, which was pretty crazy and kind of annoying. I did eventually wake up though. No limbo for me.

I once dreamed up an entire boring day of school: morning routine, commuting, classes, writing papers, chores at home, going to bed, everything. I didn't even realize it was only a dream until I noticed everyone was writing the "wrong" date on their papers.

You can't imagine what a messed up week I had, always thinking it was the wrong date and not remembering whether I did or didn't do something

I once dreamed that Mata Nui turned into a rainbow mermaid.

 

Yours seem relatively tame to me.

 

Also when I was in highschool, my alarm went off and I wasn't totally awake, so I was all "THE WIZARD SENT HIS EVIL DRAGON TO DO BATTLE! HAVE AT YOU!"

 

I proceeded to lunge at the snooze button.

 

"THE BEAST HAS BEEN VANQUISHED! TO THE BALL!"

 

Ten minutes later the alarm woke me up again and I recalled what happened and I was all "srsly???"
