Piles Of Guns!

I went to Brickworld for pretty much the entire day, and had a BLAST. I got TONS of BrickArms custom Lego guns, and took photos of almost everything there! It would have been EVERYTHING, but my camera's battery died after the 400 12MP photos I took... Gallery as soon as I can figure out how to batch resize 400 photos without killing my computer, and upload 400 photos at once without killing Brickshelf.

UPDATE: Here's my picture of my BrickArms collection, tagged so you know what's what! =D

Also, I halved the size of all my photos, bringing the filesize down to 33% of what it was. Hopefully Brickshelf won't mind 300 MB of file transfer in a zip...

Uploading to Majhost is easy. Just .zip them all to one folder and upload that one .zip file. Brickshelf and Majhost automatically unzip when they upload. ;]

Batch resizing I would love to know though. =\

I used the zip technique to put up my 200 photos from last year's Brickworld. I actually found a relatively easy no-nonsense batch resizer, but it seems to hate doing that many at once. I end up getting 40 instances of the process at any one time using as much CPU as possible (each instance is doing one photo, it cycles in new processes as old ones finish), and it ate up my entire 2 gig of memory, digging into virtual memory. It took about 10-15 minutes to do those 200 photos of the same size as these 400, and I don't feel like risking a bluescreen for a half hour straight using the same program. =P

I need to get some custom Steampunk guns.

Steampunk has intrigued me ever since I first heard of it... Yeah, the guys who made my guns make a steampunk pack, which is basically copper versions of specific steampunk-possible guns. I might get it someday. =)

Also, very soon I will update this entry with a picture of my Lego gun collection as of Brickworld '09.
