Who's Awesome? You Are! (yes, You! And You!)
My flight back home was a bit of an adventure. I left the hostel on time, I caught the bus on time, or rather, I was quite early for my flight. Of course that advantage was completely turned around a 180° when the actually boarding began. The plane was 15 minutes late which resulted in a 30-minute delay for the departure. First and executive class getting special treatment and getting to go on board first in a terribly slow pace is not good for anger-management either.
It wouldn't bother me at all under normal circumstances, but if there is an inter-Atlantic flight waiting for you in Toronto and you arrive in a rush, things get quite stressful. So stressful inf act that when I killed the time by reading up on Wikis to pass the waiting time before boarding, that I totally forgot to grab my Laptops powerchord when packing up my carry-on, so the first half of this week was spent without any Internet.
But I made it home safely in the end and enjoyed a good in-flight movie as well and finally got to buy that airline-exclusive Lego-Set you can only purchase in board ^^ It's pretty neat.
Unfortunately on arriving I found that my backpack, due to the short timeframe of my first flight did not make it onto the plane. 5 months and not once I run into trouble...but try to get back home and trouble begins...maybe it's a sign?
Anyway, mom and dad picked me up, were happy that I was safe, were not so happy that I bought so much stuff while under way and all in all it's back to normal in Germany.
I miss all you cool people on the other side of the ocean though.
Which leads to the purpose of this entry: Thankyous!
Giant (I'm talking "that's no moon that's a spacestation"-sized) thanks to CJ, Nukaya, Sisen, Lady K and families. Without you the last 6 months would not have been possible in the way they were. Thanks for taking me along, being awesome friends and just for sharing a great time. And thanks for putting up with this strange guy from Germany. He is a funky/odd fella. ^^
That being said, let me just put in a little disclaimer and say that there is no scale in this universe with which one could measure the awesome of the aformentioned people.
Peace Out!
