Yeah, I've had few problems with that too, but I'm sure download issues vary greatly for different users.

settings -> downloads + cloud

 

change your download region to a different server

keep trying out different servers until you find one that'll work

This happened to me too when I tried to download Portal: First Slice, so I don't think it's just for Mac.

 

My advice is to just keep trying to download it until it eventually downloads. At least, that's what I did.

I've been trying that. I can download other games fine, just not L4D2. Thanks anyways. I think I'll just wait a while.

I just don't bother with games like this.
