Here Comes Chaos!
You wanna know how I got up this morning? Zen barged into my room at 6:10 in the morning and tackled me. Since I've been sleeping in 'til 7:30 lately (at the very earliest), I was about to swat him and yell at him for waking me up --
Then I remembered what day it was. =D
Not bad haul this year, and the gifts I bought for my family went down well. I bought Donkey Kong Country Returns for Zen and my dad (the series has a fond place in my family's heart), and the necklace/bracelet set I bought for Mom -- well, that went awesome. =D Also ---
WE INTERRUPT THIS PROGRAM FOR AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE
What the -- ? I wasn't gonna tell them now! *sighs* Fine, I guess I'll tell you about the impromptu treasure hunt now.
While taking our cards out of the tree branches, I found a folded-up piece of paper. In it was a clue to a present in the laundry room, along with another clue. (In the interests of telling a good story, I'll tell you what it and other subsequently-found presents were at the end of this.)
That led to the coat closet, where there was another present and a clue that led to Zen's bat bag. The next part led to my backpack. (Zen didn't like that clue, since it had math in it. ), but our final clue was a crossword puzzle tucked with our cutting boards. We didn't need to finish it, though -- we figured out that the grand finale was in the (dry) bathtub.
The spoils?
- Xbox 360 + Kinect
- 2 controllers
- Dragon Age: Origins (may trade in for Halo: Reach)
- Motion Sports
- 2K10 Baseball
- Kinect Adventures
(And that was why this entry was titled "Here Comes Chaos," as opposed to something more holiday-ish. )
