It's because Solek is considered one of the worst G1 sets ever. Of all time. Combine the near universally-hated Av-Matoran build with oddly-shaped limbs, a dull color scheme of grey and white, and an awkward way of holding his weapons, and you have yourself a pretty bad set.

Plus, it only has, like, 14 pieces. None of them are Technic. BIONICLE can do much better than that.

However, roughly a third of the fandom seems to worship him as some sort of god. Praise Solek!
