  1. He's a decent writer, not a great one, but a decent one. He had good work (Time Trap, Matoro's sacrifice) and he had bad work (the unfinished serials, alternate universes). I don't count Bara Magna as one of his failures, because even though it was poorly written, it wasn't Greg's fault. The Bara Magna arc was originally supposed to go 3 years, but Lego decided to cancel Bionicle. So Greg was forced to cram 3 years of story into one year. His work on Ninjago was mediocre at best. I read a few of the books and they are quite childish, but I still think he did an overall good job on Bionicle.
  2. I chose other response because to me, Hero Factory represents every possible way Lego could screw up a theme. The concept was great and it had the potential for a great story, but the characters were sooooo poorly written and easy to hate. The little story that was decent left unanswered cliffhangers. The sets (with the exception of wave 1, witch docter, and the XLs) mainly consisted of the annoying snap-on armor building system, a nuisance to creative MOCists everywhere. Many of these issues caused a divide in the constraction community itself, causing much hatred between the numerous sites with a constraction fanbase. Essentially, Lego screwed up BIG TIME! They took what could have been a great successor theme and ruined all potential for success.
  3. If you want to risk all of the support Lego gives us over a few leaks? Sure, you could make a case for an exception. Leaks always spread and BZPower has always stood tight on ignoring them, because that's a necessary policy to keep Lego from hating us. Also, according to Black Six, activity on this site is actually at its highest in years, despite being unable to discuss leaks. I don't think it's as big of a deterrent as you think it is. The activity has been up because fans have been coming here for news on the leaks, only to be disappointed. Sure, the activity is up, but people leave almost as soon a the come because of this stupid leak policy. BZP doesn't even represent the majority of the constraction community anymore, I'm surprised lego still supports this site. Websites like tumblr, 4chan, and eurobricks are where the majority of the fans hangout now. It's mostly just the Hero Factory fanboys, the BZP loyalists, and some bionicle fans that use BZP now. Our numbers are shrinking whether you want to believe it or not. If BZP keeps up this negative attitude we will just keep losing members. This sounds a lot like you're speaking from how things "feel" rather than having actual numbers to support it. Where's your evidence that people are immediately leaving? Evidence is everything in a court of law, and also here. What I have is testimony from Black Six that BZPower is experiencing the most activity it's had since Bionicle ended, and also the fact that if the staff allowed discussion of leaked images, Lego would likely revoke all support they give this site, which would hurt far more than waiting to find out this information legally. I don't see why BZPower should ever aspire to be like 4chan or Eurobricks. They're both terrible communities. "When evidence is unattainable let observation and deductive inference lead the way". I cannot give you evidence, but I do have testimonies from close to 50 members of these various sites. The majority of them warned me to stay away from BZP because it is such a hostile environment for Bionicle fans (like your last post just proved), and to just give up on BZP. A simple search for Bionicle on tumblr will lead to a Bionicle community easily 10 times larger than BZP. I don't know what your problem is with eurobricks, considering their community is much friendly than the one here, but they too have a much larger fanbase than BZP. True, 4chan is not the best of sites, but they too possess a Bionicle fanbase that rivals ours. Almost all of the 4chan members and many of the tumblr users hate BZP, dubbing us Hero***s and many other unpleasant names. Over the past few months all of these communities have had an increased flow of new members and almost all of them claimed to be from BZP and they all blamed it on either a hostile environment, or ridiculous leak censorship. I cannot present any numbers, because I have no control over any of these sites, but trust me I have observed these communities for a few years, and this is one of the biggest BZP exoduses I have seen since Bionicle ended. Frankly, although I cannot give exact numbers I can confidently estimate from observing these communities that BZP probably only represents (at the most) 10% of the constraction community (and that is a generous estimation, it's most likely less).

  5. Do you think we could make an exception to the no leaks rule and actually discuss the Bionicle leaks since they are pretty much plastered over every other Lego fan site? I'm finding this new BZP extreme censorship a little disconcerting. We are losing members over this whole no leaks policy.
  6. But you forget that the character designs for the movies were terribly done, and that you cannot really rely on the movie designs to determine what is a canon design and what is not. Many of the movie designs were barely recognizeable in comparison to their action figure designs. Never rely on the movies for character design info, always refer to the sets/combo models/contest MOCs. Whenever I build takutanuva, I always use the combo side of the mask because it represents the character so well. The movie doesn't really do the actual model justice.
  7. Tuma was a character from the Bara Magna story arc. Greg was rushed through that particular arc and forced to wrap things up earlier than he planned due to Lego ending Bionicle. Apparently, Greg had originally intended for the Bara Magna arc to last 3 years, but that didn't work out as we all know. When you compress a story like that, you have to cut corners somewhere. Tuma was most likely an example of this. I would imagine that, had Greg been given more time to write, Tuma would be a very different character in TLR.
  8. Do you guys think the Toa Nuva could still become Kaita after receiving their adaptive armor? Could other teams of Toa become Kaita as well? Matoran, Bohrok-kal, and Rahkshi can all form Kaitas, why not other toa like the Inika/Mahri, or the Metru/Hordika?
  9. I would imagine Artahka, Karzanhi, Tren Krom, and possibly even Helryx, Teridax, and Mizerex, knew or had some knowledge on how to create Makuta with antidermis.
  10. My theory always was: Mata Nui's navigation and piloting systems were not fully functional (i.e. Mata Nui was still "booting up") at the time of Spherus Magna's destruction, so the Great Beings used manual pilots to get the robot into space before it was destroyed in Spherus Magna's explosion. The Great Beings later had the glatorian killed to keep the secrets of the robot safe.
  11. Suicide missions seem like the easiest answer, since Teridax used the same method for getting rid ot the Toa Mangai. I have a headcanon that Teridax would slowly capture the antidermis of his makuta and return it to the antidermis pool on one of the southern islands. The merging of the antidermis would cause the makuta's mind to be wiped and Teridax could always return to the pool if he needed to create a new brainwashed makuta for himself.
  12. I have a golden kraahkan from the tower of toa, but I'm not sure if it's gold or pearl gold, and I'm not interested in selling. EDIT: I did some research and I believe my Kraahkan is gold not pearl gold.
