  1. I dunno about you but I like this set. Yes, he isn't as solid as his 2015 form, though he's still fairly decent. One of the main reasons I find him appealing is that something about the style of his shoulder armor and the certain colors he uses give him a barbaric- wastelander vibe which works for Pohatu. I also really like his staff, something about it just fits for this type of character and I can just envision posing him with it held above his head, letting out a battle cry. I do think that the lower arms have a tad to much trans neon green, which is a little off putting in my opinion.
  2. I voted Pohatu, mainly because he is my favorite Toa, but also because I feel the brown characters always get the short end of the stick.
  3. I have my eyes on that 14k mask of stone. Seriously though, its gonna be hard looking away from Facebook now.
  4. Cryptozoology is quite a fascinating topic to talk about. One of my favorites is the Thylacine of Tasmanian Wolf/Tiger which DID exist, though at the turn of the 19th century, irrational fear from European settlers in Australia killed it off (even though hunting dogs were the ones who were mainly killing their sheep). Its kind of a shame because they were fairly shy animals and it is rumored that when the last one in 1936 at the Hobart Zoo, it wasn't honored or mourned at all, they just threw the body in the garbage. Though there have been reported sightings which is great!
  5. 2001 would have been better if the sets had more articulation 2002 would have been better if Galis mask didn't look like a cow 2003 would have been better if the Bohrok kal weren't rehashed 2004 would have been better if I had gotten into BIONICLE at that awesome year 2005 would have been better if the Hordika weren't so gappy 2006 would have been better if I had managed to complete my first set, Brutaka. Also if they had gotten rid of the stupid Piraka rap 2007 would have been better if there were Matoran for the 6 main elements, The sets had different eye colors, and Hewkii had some more armor and less silver. 2008 would have been better if Gali didn't look like an bunny eared goblin and Pohatu wasn't orange 2009 would have been better if TLR was better and Mata Nui's set had gold 2010 would have been better if we had gotten at least the Baterra... and the Elemental lords, and the trilogy that Greg mentioned 2011-2014 would have been better if the serials had been continues 2015 would have been better if the Protectors had names and there were collectable mask packs
  6. One upon a time in the land of Duloc, it was Christmas of 2006 and my uncle gave me my first BIONICLE set, Brutaka. I didn't know anything about the story and who this character was, but I still build a majority of him. The rest I never finished, and a majority of his parts disappeared (even his awesome gold Olmak ). A year later I received the Po-Matoran, Dekar, and I manage to complete him and got somewhat into the story.
  7. I remember being at several Toys R Us's and finding some old sets in 2011, one had several Agori (Berix, Zesk, and Tarduk), Kiina, Ackar, and Axalara T9. The other had a bunch of Stronius sets. I also remember some of the Stars being sold at a third Toys R Us until 2012, and a Borders in 2010 which had Jetrax T6 and Rockoh T3 (got it for Christmas ).
  8. I remember I was on a car ride to my grandparents house I believe in 2004(?), and I brought a portable TV with me to watch some movies. One of the ads was for BIONICLE 2: Legends of Metru Nui though I didn't become a fan until 2006.
  9. The last BIONICLE set I purchased was in 2010. I was at a Marshals and found the Stars Rahkshi, which I bought, then scraped for MOCing several weeks later.
  10. On Christmas 2010, I received my first set Stringer 1.0. I dunno something about his helmet made him look really cool compared to the others. I also got Furno 1.0 several days later
  11. Though I personally wasn't that big a fan of the story and character development did feel scarce at times, the sets were what really got me into it, especially my favorite year 2012. The CCBS system introduced with the theme in 2011 was also another plus because it challenged MOC makers like myself to create unique robots, creatures, etc of all different shapes and sizes.
  12. I know, it sucks and I liked the brown too, but from what I've heard, all the brown sets released from 01-06 had the lowest sales of the 6 colors so LEGO decided to justify this by releasing, yellow and orange *shudders*.
  13. In terms of plot and character interaction, Po-Koro definitely sticks out, we get to see and experience a physical threat that is harming the Matoran and we get to talk to a lot of the villagers regarding the issues. However, in terms of overall appearance and spirit, I really enjoyed Le-Koro. The lush colors and beautiful scenery are eye popping and getting to see and hear the band was just wonderful and made you feel accomplished after having dealt with the Rama.
  14. Now that the real Hydraxon has been brought back to life inside the Red Star, if he manages to escape, what will happen to the clone the Mask of Life made out of the Matoran Dekar?
  15. Set: The Tohun.. ahem, the Mctoran and the Matoran of Metru Nui. I liked the Mctoran for their eclectic and eye catching color schemes and collectability, while the Metrutoran offered tons of articulation and had cool melded masks. Character: The Matoran from Mata Nui were very memorable for me, my favorites having to be Hafu and Taipu. Hafu because the way he boasts about his artwork is strangely comical and Taipu because of how enthusiastic he is.
