  1. Wow, very impressive. The movements were so good, I forgot it was stop motion while I watched it. Very well done.
  2. Thanks to both of you for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
  3. Hi all! I've been trying my hand at some animation and here are the results: https://youtu.be/XkyJcS_12as Feedback is most welcome. I'm sure there are lots of ways to improve. Hope you enjoy it. (There is an issue over the subscribe button thing at the end which I need to sort out. Also I hope it's Bionicle related enough to feature here. For non-Star Wars fans I'm afraid that a lot of the dialogue might go over your heads.) Thanks for watching/reading this post.
  4. Wonderful! I'm really impressed by your Mocs, both these and the Rahkski. It reminds me of the wonderful Toa Hagah B:NG made back in the day. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/bbb373/BNGposters/hagah.png
  5. Why not have Makuta as a small set like the protectors? Villains don't have to be big to be bad.
  6. Seen jt. It's really good. Reminds me of the good old commercials from yesteryear.
  7. The mini figures in this set look awesome. The rest of the set.....looks ok. Nice scenery I suppose. (By the way, I think you meant Eärendil, not Elendil. But Star of Eärendil wouldn't really work as a title as Eärendil is itself a star. I think Phial of Galadriel is the proper title. And the characters will feature together in the film as seen in a recent preview clip.)
  8. 1. Kopaka 2. Matoro 3. Vakama 4. Tahu 5. Lhikan 6. Lesovikk (The Toa who doesn't use the name of Toa. Reminds me of the War Doctor from Doctor Who.) Looking at this list, there are names missing which I'd want to put on. But that just goes to show how most of the Toa from Gen 1 were fantastic and Gen 2 has a lot to live up to.
  9. I loved the complex story. It was fascinating and could be very clever when done right. The continuity was remarkably consistent too. The thing I thought they did really well was to balance the side stories with the main story of the year. So in 09 for example, we had all the focus on the Glatorians, Agori and Mata Nui but at the same time we were told about what was going on in Teridax's regime. Getting that balance right is key to not making the story too complex as it allowed causal followers to know what was going on while still giving the fans the opportunity to delve deeper. So, no I thought it wasn't too complicated, but that they played it very well.
  10. Turaga Vakama. My brother got Whenua at the same time.
  11. I'd say 2006. It was when bionicle was starting to get more expensive, there was no movie, the loss of the gears and the Piraka 'gang' theme was a bit dull.
  12. As I think you were getting at: it depends what you mean by Mata Nui. For example: Makuta is back, but he isn't the Makuta of Metru Nui. His job is different. His mask is different. His status in the universe is different. Arguably even his name is different as 'Makuta' before the reboot was a title. So it's all down to how the story unfolds. I'm not against the name being used if there's an appropriate character, location or even object for it to be used on. But it seems as though Ekimu has taken over the main responsibility of Mata Nui's character.
