  1. [IC: Timak, Ga Koro] “Name and element, Toa? What can you do?” ... Then Ayiwah’s gaze shifted back to the other Toa, the earlier question still hanging in the air - unanswered. Timak watched rapturously as the experienced Toa Maru leaped from the pier towards the Chiisai Ryuu. Oh, to be so confident. The young Toa was getting fed up of not being able to help like that. They thought they could just about make out her fuzzy shadow descending towards the sinking craft, but remembered the Commodore's question and turned back, standing straight and offering an awkward apologetic salute. "Timak, Ma'am! Sonics. I can't do much to help the ship itself, and this is my first day as a Toa, I think, but I could try and relay your voice into the ship if you want to talk with the attacker or the others inside." The lean youth raised a hand towards the silhouette of the submersible, frowning as they concentrated on the bridge, filtering through the sounds. It was all very faint and confused - the washing of the waves between them, the bubbling of the rushing water around the ship, the groaning metal of the hull, all mingled in with the urgent breaths and shouts of frantic crewmembers and the heated conversation on the bridge. It was too much, headache-inducing. Getting an idea, Timak drew their sword and pointed the twin-pronged blade toward the bridge. The air rippled around the tool as the Toa of Sonics focused their mind, narrowing the target range of the incoming sound to just the space within the bridge itself. "I don’t mean to interrupt anything, but I’m realizing only now that there might be seriously differing opinions on what I should do to help here.” ... what? What a strange way to introduce oneself... Shunning the minor distraction, Timak gave the Commodore a pointed look, lips pressed tight in concentration, and raised their other hand toward her, making a cone with their fingers. Taking a deep breath, the Toa made a channel, feeling that sonic energy almost like a thread that now tied the two locations together through Timak's form. Suddenly anyone standing in that direction would be able to hear the goings-on within the ship. Timak's lip curled in a slight smile, as much as they could manage through the effort, secretly proud of themselves for being able to hold up on their offer. A cocky, yet desperate voice rang out towards the Commodore. "—You feel like makin' a whole lotta widgets?" OOC: @Vezok's Friend .. and if Ayiwah uses this new channel, all the people in the bridge will be able to audibly hear her voice @Razgriz @Ghosthands @oncertainty paper-cup-string telephones
  2. [IC: Timak, Ga Koro] “Forgive the interruption but we have a security situation.” Timak heard this and saw the Commodore rush to check out the situation. They turned to Leah, feet bouncing with excitement, hurriedly speaking while barely containing themselves, "That sounds important! We should help out, right?" Without waiting for an answer, they immediately turned and started pushing through the crows to get to the edge of the dock. "I gotta see what's going on!" they called over their shoulder. Upon reaching the edge they looked in the same direction the Commodore had, and saw the sinking submersible. They called up to her on the deck, projecting their voice so that she could hear them clearly. "Commodore! If I can help, just say the word!" Timak winced immediately. What were they thinking, offering help in this situation? How could a Toa of sonics possibly make things any easier? .. Hang on a minute, there's a Toa of water right here! Timak called back again. "Leah! A sinking ship's no problem for you, right?" OOC: @Vezok's Friend
  3. [IC: Timak, Ga-Koro, in the crowd near the Yukanna] Standing next to Leah, Timak looked up and saw the three figures standing aboard the Yukanna. One he recognised as the Dasakan Empress, whom Leah had pointed out just now. There was another of her race there too, standing proudly across from the third - a tall, intimidating figure that seemed completely alien and wondrous to the amnesiac Toa. They leaned over to a nearby member of the crowd, not taking their eyes off the scene, and asked in a sideways whisper - "What the heck is going on up there?" "Karz if I know. That dragon just splashed up from under the ship and started chatting to the leader of the Dasakan navy, like it was a normal thing. What does a dragon have to say to anyone non-dragon anyway? I didn't even know they could talk." A dragon? Is that some kind of Rahi? Timak gave a nod of thanks to the matoran, and stood up again, focusing on the trio ahead. Squinting, they raised their left hand, palm open towards the ongoing conversation, and Timak could suddenly hear the three members talking as though they were standing right next to them, the noise of the crowd dulled as if in the distance. OOC: Timak open for interaction with anyone nearby @Vezok's Friend @Umbraline Yumiwa @Bjorkway @BULiK (sorry if tags were unnecessary)
  4. [IC: Siika - A lake near the Ko-Wahi/Le-Wahi border] Siika sat down with a huff. It had been a long day of fishing and not finding much. She dropped her meagre gatherings beside her and looked around at the inside of her hut, surveying the mess. She really needed to have another tidy up, but it had been so hard recently with the shoulder acting up again - she barely made it through the day of fishing, just winding the reel made it sore. It wasn't usually like this, but recently there'd been a sour note to the air.. not a smell, just a feeling, as though all was not well. The heavy-set Skakdi reached to her left shoulder and rubbed gingerly at the deep scar, grimacing but enjoying the "good pain", as one achieves from poking a bruise. *** In the Past *** She rushed through the dark streets, panting. No doubt the Toa Maru and the rest of the major forces had suppressed most of the Outsiders by now, but Siika kept her wits about her. There were always the slippery ones, hiding in dark places to surprise and bite back at the victors whether it actually helped their cause or not. Sweat dripped off her ridged brow and through the cloud of mist escaping through her clenched teeth into the icy air. Suddenly a cry rang out to her right. Siika whirled around, crossing the entrance of an alleyway just in time to notice a shadowed figure pulling a blade out of a dying Ko-Matoran. "You there!" she growled sharply, readying her sleek spear in her right hand and her targe in her left. She advanced down the path, her grand silhouette blocking the only escape for the murderer. "Drop the knife and get on the ground and I may spare your life!" She grimaced, trying to take in the being's appearance in the dark. She only got a vague image before the assailant, trapped and panicked, instead opted to charge for the alleyway's exit, coming straight toward the towering Skakdi with a scream of rage. Siika raised her targe and made a defensive stance, but the attacker was far more agile than her, avoiding her heavy jab with the spear and bounding sideways, leaping off one of the side walls to get around her. Suddenly there was searing pain in her shoulder and her shield arm went limp, the heavy wooden disc clattering to the floor loudly as she stumbled to the floor. She blinked through the pain and threw her head back to catch the fleeing figure in her sights, and with a glare, her impact vision pounded through the night and connected between the shoulder blades, sending them pitching forward onto the icy street. Snarling, Siika tried to pursue but sparks gathered at the corners of her vision, and the effort caught up with her, forcing her to the ground as though an anvil had suddenly been attached to her chest. She watched the silhouette of the poor Matoran stop moving as darkness took her. *** Siika slowly rose with a grunt. The weeks since then (or months, it all blended together) had been filled with many days of nursing her wound, followed by painful exercises and stretches to try and get her left arm back to its former strength. It was getting there, she reassured herself, and she found that she was able to lift her new tower shield - a wise upgrade from the small targe, she thought - without much effort now. She strapped it to her back and continued preparations. Taking the fish from her bag, she placed them in a stone-lined cubby beneath her floor, covering them over with crushed ice and replacing the lid. That should keep them fresh while she made the trip to Ko-Koro for supplies. This was something she had to do once a week, or thereabouts. It was a longer trek to the mountainous village than it was to the Massif, but up there was the only place she'd found a vendor with good fishing supplies, and she could visit the hospital on the way back to pick up salve for her shoulder. Besides, she liked visiting the settlement since the occupation, taking pride and comfort in the way the stalwart villagers had clawed back their homes and begun to rebuild. She could see the change and it reassured her that the cost was worth it. That is, until last time. She was buying her new tower shield from a quiet back-street craftsman, the friendly owner being skilled and reasonable with his prices. As she left the shop she caught a glimpse of a silhouette that had burned itself into her memory... the same attacker from the night of the battle. She hastily made amends with the shopkeeper and dashed out the door in the direction she saw, but the criminal was gone. She had had plenty of time to consider the event over the following days of quiet fishing. Now, a week later, Siika thought to herself as she took her spear and headed for the door. She was going to find out where that crook had gone and make him pay. Closing the door behind her, she steeled her gaze into the icy winds at the path ahead. Justice would be done. OOC: for future interaction purposes, Siika can be in Ko-Koro without me making another post. @Geardirector feel free to "notice" her where/whenever you want in town, and then I'll make a post explaining how she got there and continue interaction from there if that's ok!
  5. [IC: Timak, Ga-Koro] Timak obediently fell in behind the veteran Toa and followed towards the crowd. What are we going to do if the dragon isn't friendly? They thought to themselves. Will the village be in danger? Entering the gathered mass of people and watching the tides of blue heads part around Leah's confident stride was something to behold, especially for Timak who had never dreamed to have such confidence in their whole life. Then she pointed out the Dasaka royalty. Timak spoke to Leah, just loud enough for her to hear but hopefully nobody else. In fact, that particular hope led the Toa of Sonics to attempt a new sonic ability. They reached into the space surrounding them with their mind, and pictured a bubble of perfectly still air around them, manifesting a sonic shield around their conversation. "I've never seen people like that before, let alone royalty. Where do they come from? Should I bow?" OOC: @Vezok's Friend @Umbraline Yumiwa
  6. [IC: Timak, Akiri's Hut, Ga-Koro] Timak was starting to consider asking a second time, the guard having been rather vague about whether the Akiri was accepting visitors or not. They were keen not to make a bad first impression though, so they simply turned their gaze to the floor and scuffed their feet idly, becoming lost in thought... completely missing the growing crowd that gathered way behind, at the docks. The guard noticed, of course. Timak was stirred out of their daydreaming by the guard's sudden entry to the hut, and looked up at the mention of "dragon". Dragon?! How in the world did I miss that? Must have happened while I was walking over here... A familiar face burst through the open door. “Timak? Have you been waiting out here this entire time?’ "Oh! Well I didn't want to interrupt anything important, I was just hoping to introduce myself to the Akiri since.. well, I'm new in town. But I suppose that goes for half the population now, right?" They turned to look at the growing crowd in the distance. "I take it you're off to see what all that's about?" ooc: @Vezok's Friend, and @ARROW404 ? (if you're still hanging out with Leah)
  7. IC: Timak, Ga-Koro "Vines and flowers? That sounds pretty," Timak smiles, "I'm sure I won't miss it then. Thanks!" They raise the half-eaten bread. "And thanks for the food as well, I feel much better now!" Turning on a heel, they almost skip away in the direction of the market, feeling in such a light mood. But, they don't, remembering that that's probably not a normal thing to do. Suddenly a thought crosses Timak's mind and they turn after a couple of steps, calling back with a wave - "I owe you a favour, catch me again next time you need anything and I'll do my best!" Now, turning to the route ahead, Timak finds themselves walking at quite a good pace, long legs striding through the crowds with an eager bounce. Things were finally starting to come into place, and they couldn't help smiling at the idea that they would soon be making themselves useful. Whether that idea came to fruition remained to be seen, depending on what happened when they introduced themselves to the Akiri, but that didn't stop the Toa's hopeful mood. Unable to keep their eagerness in check, their pace sped into a jog, briskly bounding along across the lilypads and boardwalks. After not too long they came across the thoroughfare, and slowed to admire the scene, passing by the memorial flowers and sparing them a respectful glance, unable to actually stop still, but thinking to themselves how well those honoured fallen must have succeeded, considering the beautiful state of the village at present. Eventually coming into the park with the Akiri's hut, they slowed to a walk once more, looking for the hut with the guards. Spotting it, Timak stopped to shake out the excitement; settling into a calmer demeanour and clearing their throat. Then they approached the guards. "Good evening.. I'm a new arrival on the island. May I speak to the Akiri? I was sent here without my memories, but I want to offer my help in whatever I can." ooc: Thanks @Mel ! And - hello @Vezok's Friend @ARROW404 @Haman Karn: A Magical Girl feel free to bunny Timak into the house if it makes things flow easier e.g. "guard says yes. X watches Timak wander cautiously into the hut, looking around at the odd scene before them"
  8. [IC: Timak, East Ga-Koro Fishery District] Timak takes the yucca bread gratefully, smiling. "I hope I didn't make a nuisance of myself. I'm really grateful for you introducing me to this village in such a meaningful way." They think for a moment, taking a bite of the bread and chewing slowly. "Ko..? I'm guessing that's Ko-Koro, like Ga-Koro? It sounds nice, but on balance, I think I'll go meet up with Leah Maru and Kimala at the Akiri's hut since I'm already right here. The Akiri is the boss here, right? I would hope they might be pleased to hear of a new Toa in their town, even if I'm pretty much a blank slate at the moment... but then again, maybe that's a good thing." "It's that way, right?" - Timak gestures vaguely with the bread, back in the direction they came, secretly hoping for more than a 'yes' to help them on their way. ooc: @Mel
  9. IC: Timak, Ga-Koro East Fishery District Surprised by the sudden outburst, Timak takes a step back, concerned. "Are you alright? Did you burn your hand...or, did I say something...?" Seeing the look on her face, they come to a decision without waiting for an answer. "I should change back. This is obviously stressing you out." And with another few seconds of mask-glowing, the Toa was back to their normal height and appearance. "Well, I know one thing. I'm not a real Toa yet. I'm just a tall gray matoran without a clue what they're here for." They sit back down, and finish off the last few mouthfuls of their soup, thinking. "I want to talk with someone in charge.. maybe they can give me something useful to do." ooc: @Mel
  10. IC: Timak, Ga-Koro Fishery District Timak thinks about this for a moment while chewing on a chunk of fish. "Well" - picking out a stray fish bone and flicking it into the water - "I suppose I must have come from overseas, given that I arrived here in a canister, but I can't make out any memories of the places I've been.. or even... even any people I might have known." They tipped the half-full bowl of stew from side to side, watching it move about, but really their mind was very far away. "It's hazy but... I was by the sea. I remember finding that canister somehow... and in that moment, in my head, the only correct thing to do was to get into it. I think the Great Spirit wanted me to. The canister was ...bigger then ..." - they look at their hand holding the bowl, seeing how it fits more easily into one palm compared to Talli's - "or, was I smaller?" The tall Toa sits incredibly still beside Talli, staring out to sea, the stew forgotten. "How can that be? Did I become a Toa... inside the canister?", they mutter, raising a hand to their face and feeling for the first time the unfamiliar shape of their mask, more angular than their blurred memory of it... ".. Why? Mata Nui... what did you send me here for?" They stand slowly, having enough presence of mind to place the stew carefully on the pier beside them. They look upon the Ga-Matoran with a new sense of recognition. A deep breath, eyes fixed on her face... and Timak's mask begins to glow brightly. The shapes of their limbs and armor become indistinct, shimmering like the waves beneath them. Their mask itself shifts, softening, as their entire body appears to shrink to the height of a Matoran, silver armor giving way to gray and black. Their buried memory resurfacing and revealing itself through the Toa's mask power. Standing before Talli now is the image of a De-Matoran, their gray Noble Mahiki painted in an expression of relaxed thoughtfulness. Timak opens their eyes, smiling a little as they look down at their body. "Yes, this is who I ... was. How could I have forgotten?" ooc: @Mel
  11. With a mouth full of soup, Timak looks up, hastily swallowing to reply, "Oh! Yeah sure. I was kinda... not thinking." They stand up, clutching the bowl, and eyeing the pack of bread and plantains curiously. "Lead the way Talli, I'm sure you know the quiet places around here." The Toa stands up and awkwardly casts a smile towards the Matoran who cooked the food, gesturing with the bowl. "It's good. Thanks!" they say quietly, before shuffling off in whichever direction Talli goes. @Onaku @Mel
  12. IC: Timak, Ga-Koro (East Fishing District) Nearing the shop, as the crowds around them became more consistently short and blue, Timak began to feel more and more like a fish out of water... which was ironic, given present company. They took in the sights, smells and sounds of the local trade. Mostly the sounds. Their attention flitted from the unique tramping noise of matoran feet on lilypads, to the lapping of the sea against the leafy boardwalks, to the odd slopping noise of Talli's catch as she turned in her spoils. Lots of wet sounds here. Timak supposed that made sense. Approaching the stall with the red lantern, they found themselves drawn in by the scent of stewed fish. Timak couldn't remember the last meal they had, and right now they couldn't imagine anything better than digging into whatever produced that delicious aroma. They came close to the stall, standing right behind Talli to the point of almost touching, bent forward and curiously taking in all the details. Their looming silhouette clearly caught the attention of the shopkeeper. “Talli! What’s this? Finally got yerself a boyfriend again?” said the elder matoran. Timak straightened, muttering "Oh, I'm not a... uh", glancing between Talli and her friend while the conversation continued, then stepping back and looking to Zadred, watching her face for a reaction, in an effort to avoid the cook's eye contact. The words "Tall, dark an' handsome", however, cut through this defence like a hot knife through butter, and being at a complete loss, Timak simply sat right down on the spot. At least now they weren't the tallest one in the group, they thought, as they stared ahead at a blank patch of lilypad, blushing furiously. Being handed the cup of stew snapped them out of the stupor, though. They gazed up at Talli, offered a quiet but genuine "Thank you" and took the bowl eagerly. They sipped at the broth, all cares melting away in the warm, salty yet aromatic goodness that flowed from the cup, and started to relax. Happily sitting there on the floor in the middle of a crowd of strangers, eyes lost in the mixture of fish chunks and herbs swirling around the bowl. ooc: @Mel @Onaku
  13. IC: Timak, Ga-Koro Outer Village The lanky grey Toa thinks absent-mindedly about their recent history (all 30 minutes of it) and wonders about their forgotten past, whilst ambling along behind the the two shorter ones, feeling suddenly out of place in the small group. Standing a head taller than Zadred and a good bit more than the other, Timak feels themselves slouching to compensate, trying - ineffectively - to avoid sticking out too much as they pass through the village. They decide to soften the awkward situation with some attempted small-talk. "So uhm.. " Timak immediately trips up as they realise they don't know the Ga-Matoran's name, " uh... Miss... " gesturing open-handed to her and smiling, " I don't think I caught your name? But I was wondering what you do around here on a normal day. ".. they look down toward the Skakdi, "Same goes for you, Zadred, I suppose?" ooc: @Onaku @Mel
  14. IC: Timak, Ga-Koro Timak nods, moving to follow Zadred and Talli. Then just before leaving, they turn to Kimala and Leah with intent. "I really want to be of use now that I'm here. Once you've spoken to the Akiri, where can I meet you again?" @Mel @Onaku @ARROW404 @Vezok's Friend
  15. IC: Timak, Ga-Koro Timak looks uncertain for a few seconds, torn. They already agreed to eat with Zadred, but Kimala seems very kind and the thought of missing an opportunity to train with her and possibly Leah was troubling. Not to mention, from the sound of it, The Great Takea would not be the best place for them right now... "Isn't there any other place we can eat?" Timak asks the group, "I'm really not sure I can deal with a crowd yet..." They squint through the busy village, looking to see if anybody is selling food on the street. Ah, how relaxing it would be to just sit on the edge of a lilypad, feet dangling in the water, staring out at the ocean while they gathered their thoughts and filled their stomach. Somehow, given the atmosphere and the pressing matters at hand, Timak doubted they would get such a chance, but they daydreamed anyway. @Vezok's Friend@Onaku@Mel@ARROW404
  16. IC: Timak, Ga-Koro entrance Timak looks up at Leah and marvels at the confidence with which she talks about the Rahkshi. There are more of these things? They find themselves hoping never to meet a living one - at least - not before getting some sort of practice in to work out their own powers and skills. Coming straight out of a canister right into a fight is something Timak was very thankful didn't happen. “You look pretty new...but not like the Dasaka that just arrived. Any memory of where you came from before? No worries if not, it’s a pretty common occurrence. " "You're right, I uh.. just washed up on that beach about 10 minutes ago." Gaining some confidence, Timak relaxes a little, and their Mahiki glows faintly once more as they return to their natural height. They notice it happen, this time. "Ah.. sorry about the involuntary illusion thing. I guess it must be some sort of nervous tic I developed. Wish I could remember how... Come to think of it, I really don't remember anything before being in that leaky canister." They gesture to Zadred, smiling, "I'm just glad this one was here to point me in this direction. I dread to think what sort of trouble I might've found otherwise." "I am Leah - Leah Maru." "I'm Ti--" "Welcome to Ga-Koro!" Timak stops and looks around, having been too caught up in the conversation to pay attention thus far. They notice the many eyes watching, and swallow loudly. "Timak... I'm just Timak" they stutter, distractedly. ooc: trivia time - Timak's subconscious instinct to visibly shrink at embarassing or frightening moments probably comes from the fact that they were a matoran upon entering the canister, which is the last time they were conscious. @Vezok's Friend @Mel @Onaku @ARROW404
  17. IC: Timak, Ga-Koro Gates Timak took in the scenery while Zadred explained to them about the Dasaka. Admiring the view of the bay, and taking in the mass of silhouetted ships that dominated the landscape of the village itself. They are so taken in with the sights that Zadred's voice starts to fade into the background a little, and as a side effect, Timak notices the three others a little while before she does. Who are those? They're carrying something... dead. Hunters? They continue to approach the trio. As the distance begins to shrink and their new companion shows no signs of slowing down, they begin to worry a little, eyes politely keeping contact with the skakdi as she talks but nervously flicking across to the trio on the collision path. Is she ... is she gonna stop..? They just about manage "Uh, Za - Zadred?" right before she abruptly stops in her tracks. Timak visibly shrinks behind her without thinking, making themselves appear to be the shortest Toa here by about an inch, their Mahiki giving off a little shine. "R-Rahkshi attack?" "Is that what that dead thing is? ... " Timak peers at the thing over Leah's shoulder. ".. What did it do?" ooc: @Vezok's Friend @Mel @ARROW404 @Onaku please do/say whatever you want to Timak
  18. IC: Timak, Naho Bay "Zadred. Zadred. Thank you. ... And wow, you're right" - they look uneasy - "it's just dawned on me how hungry I am!" Timak enthusiastically follows her lead as she sets off towards the village. Something else the Skakdi said bubbles up to the surface in their mind. The Toa, ambling along a couple of steps behind her, quickens their pace to make eye contact and queries, "You said dangerous... What should I keep an eye out for?" Ooc: @Onaku -and also, would be cool to "bump into" the rahkshi-hauling crew when we get to Ga-Koro? Am i allowed to say that here?
  19. IC: Timak, Naho Bay Timak was looking the other way when they heard the Skakdi's voice. Turning to face her, they spend a moment to take stock of the stranger, stepping towards her and waving a hand in uncertain reply. "Hello.. you're right, I just got here. I get the feeling I would have arrived sooner had my canister not developed a fault. Nearly drowned in there, I did." Timak has never seen her race before, and looks to be pondering whether to drop their guard or not. Something inside their head wanted them to be wary, but she had such a friendly tone... After a moment of thought, they stow their sword and extend a hand for shaking. "My name is Timak. I'm glad you noticed me out here before I made a fool of myself... to be honest I'm not quite sure what I'm here for." ooc: hey @Onaku!
  20. Was it me? Sorry if so, I'm new. Which would be the better topic?
  21. @Palm thanks! My character just arrived in Naho bay/heading towards Ga-Koro so I think there are a few characters they might meet once there! I don't really know what events are happening so I'm perfectly happy for some folks to just adopt me haha
  22. Hey, I've just joined and I'd love to get to know the people I'm playing with. (I've met @Vezok's Friend, @TL01 NUVA and @Geardirector elsewhere, and probably some others too) And if anyone has any tips for what Timak should join in with (who wants a toa of sonics on their party?) I'd love to hear them.
  23. [IC Timak | Naho bay] A canister appears on the horizon, idly being carried by the waves to wards the shore. Anybody watching may notice it tipping and bucking awkwardly, as though whoever was inside was battling to get out. Eventually as the canister nears the shore, the lid bursts away and a lithe grey figure heaves themselves, spluttering, into knee-deep water - the canister itself already having been half-filled from a leak - and weakly drags themselves ashore, dazed and squinting in the sunlight from their over-long stint in the can. Timak - yes, that's their name... They squint and look around, then stop to inspect their own body, finding no damages, but also - no tools! They swiftly turn and check the canister, lifting a heavy dual-blade out. It makes a soothing hum as it drags along the inside of the vessel, and Timak feels invigorated suddenly. They heft the blade, swishing it around in a few wide swings, listening to its song and absorbing the vibrations. Finally, their mood lightened by the small restoration of Sonic energy, Timak turns to view the surroundings and starts heading towards Ga-Koro, looking for someone to tell them what's what. OOC - First post yay! Timak's profile is here if anyone wants a look!
  24. Name: Timak (pronounced timm-ack) Species: Toa of Sonics (Pics in spoiler) Visual description: Primary colour: Dark Gray with Black accents Armor: Silver/Pearl-Dark-Gray Eyes: Yellow Build (non-illusioned): Lithe, androgynous, built for stealth, slightly above average Toa height. Gender: Nonbinary (Uses they/them pronouns) Powers and/or weapons: Sonics abilities: Can use any sonics abilities known to most Toa of Sonics, but specifically has honed their ability to Acoustic Levitation - can hover up to 3 bio above a solid surface using concentrated sound waves, requires concentration Shattering - Trained their intuition to know the right frequency to shatter most common materials. New materials require some investigation time first. Dampening - With a low level of concentration (think maintaining good posture), Timak can passively filter out painful noises that would otherwise cause stress. Kanohi Mahiki: Only loosely attuned to their mask power so far. Knows how to create minor illusions (to use the DnD term). Major illusions require significant concentration. Can change their own visual appearance to look more intimidating, or for stealth purposes. Adopting a completely different visual form (e.g. Matau -> Nidhiki (but only in a visual sense as the rules state)) is incredibly difficult for them so far. Tuning Sword: They carry a sword which doubles as a tuning fork, amplifying their sonic powers greatly. Hitting this against an enemy immediately gives Timak knowledge of the most effective frequencies to use. Technological items: none, Timak is fresh out of canister currently Weakness(es): Incredibly loud noises, or persistent clamour, cause them physical pain (headaches). Not confident/intuitive: Timak often needs to be told what to do in specific terms, otherwise their lack of confidence will prevent them from progressing. Alignment: Neutral good. Tries to play by the rules but often makes rash decisions to get the job done. History: A "forced Toa" who, through Mata Nui's will, entered a canister in De-Koro as a Matoran, transforming inside and losing their memory while the canister floated to sea. Their canister developed a fault and has floated aimlessly in the sea instead of propelling towards the island, eventually washing ashore on Mata Nui by chance, shortly after the arrival of the Dasakan Fleet. They have no memory of their previous location/life, so will be looking for help. Personality and traits: Generally kind and well-intentioned. Quiet unless spoken to, but when they do talk, they usually have something important to say and get frustrated if ignored. When comfortable with present company, Timak is more relaxed and easy-going, often quipping and passing humorous remarks to lighten the mood. On the other hand, they can be known to complain when situations get tough. Name: Siika Species: Skakdi Element: Ice Visual description: Colours: White/Teal Eyes: Purple Build: Tall, thick-muscled but also pudgy on top. Gender: Female (she/her) Powers and/or weapons: Standard Ice powers (when collaborating with another Skakdi) Impact Vision Tower shield and Spear Skakdi fitness: Siika is in the upper 80% of skakdi strength. She can lift 2.5x her body weight. Technological items: none yet Weakness(es): Not very agile. Would slip on ice and probably fall through it. Can't win at dodgeball. Rash. Makes decisions without considering all consequences. Weak points: Neck, Under arms (basically all joints where skin is thinnest) Large battle wound from Ko-Koro on her left shoulder, scar is sensitive/painful when hit. Alignment: Neutral good. Doing her own thing, but wants to help make Mata Nui a better place. History: Siika washed up on the shores of Ko-Wahi a while back, previously living her life fairly solitarily, ice fishing and generally attempting to stay out of trouble. When Ko-Koro was overthrown, however, this moved her valiant spirit and she joined forces with the resistance to take the city back. Since then she has been nursing her wounds and trying to go back to a normal life. Personality and traits: Siika is proud and steadfast. If she makes a promise she will always hold to her word. She is often loud and unsubtle, but cares for her friends and won't intentionally offend them. Her main goal is to blow up and act like she knows everyone. She won't turn down a request for help, and has a strong sense of justice.
