    Saturday

Saturday, August 5, 2006 I'm working on a project of piecing together the 2001 story. It's not always easy . There's huge gaps, inconsistencies... it turns out that the comics and books don't tell a whole lot of the story.
  2. Friday, August 4, 2006 Hehe...I saw Talledega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby today. It was funny. But it was stupid funny, like the Benchwarmers. "You're not on fire, Ricky Bobby!" Oh, and I finally, finally got my Lego mag in the mail today. And it's the fourth of the next month! The comic strangely reminded me of BL#3 Shake 'n' bake! Magic Man and El Diablo!
  3. Hey, that's great, Greg! The "Toa don't kill" statement certainly brought up some questions in my mind. If evil has already prepared himself to stand by his convictions until the very end, what hope left does he have in life? BTW, I've been feeling the heat wave. Just ended last night with a storm and a blackout. Thank God for central air.

    Toa Hewkii

Wednesday, August 2, 2006 Forgot yesterday's entry. Oops. The past few days have been a good break from school, homework, travel. It's been really nice. I'm finally getting to relax. Yesterday my dad came back from Target with Toa Hewkii. Of course, I've been bugging him about getting the Toa Inika from S@H (why would I use my own money? I'm horrible ). So he decided to give me a little "preview," I guess . I posted a gallery.

    Monday

Monday, July 31, 2006 So, BIONICLE Heroes has just begun to appear on the market. Backordered until November. Ouch :annoyed2: .

    O.o

Sunday, July 30, 2006 Something rather curious happened today. It happened completely at random, out of nowhere. It was the middle of the day when I was just sitting in my room, and I heard this huge engine noise. Sure, I live on a busy street; and people drive by in noisy cars all the time. But this couldn't be ignored. It was incredible. So, I looked out my window. I could barely believe what I saw! Easily over a hundred motorcycles were driving down the street, revving their engines (stop sign near my house), honking their horns, waving . It looked like just anyone who owned a motorcycle had decided to hop on and ride down the road with this huge crowd. A steady stream of dozen after dozen of motorcyclists lasted over a full minute. I've never seen this kind of organization on the road! There were a few more spurts of riders afterwards, people who obviously had seen the initial group drive by and decided to follow them. But the whole thing was hilarious! I saw Pirates of the Carribbean 2 today. Neh. No good plot. Just action. Not much to say. Really high-quality special effects, though. The music was annoying, too :annoyed2: .

    The End!

Friday, July 28, 2006 At last! The end! No more summer school ! And nobody will have to hear me complain and moan about the whole thing anymore, which has taken up like...what...80% of my entries in this blog so far? Seriously, take a look.

    Thursday

Thursday, July 27, 2006 Just one more day, and summer school is done. That's awesome. I have to study for one more test tomorrow. The last test. Once I finish it, I'm officially free to go home and spend the next three-and-a-half weeks far away from schoolwork of any kind. I see GregF has returned from his duties at Comic-Con and is back on BZP once again. The OGD has some fresh new posts. BTW, what's red and smells like paint? ->Red paint. <-

    Wednesday

Wednesday, July 26, 2006 I passed that book test today. But not like I would have if I had actually read the darn thing... (See yesterday's entry? I tried.) 84%. My report compensates it with a nice 100% though, so I have nothing to worry about. If it's an "A" I'm looking for in this class, it's probably an "A" I'll get . Well, in a couple days it'll all be over. And you won't hear me complaining about school anymore . My magazine and comic still haven't come. I'm sad . I call this situation magazinitis, the disease whose symptoms appear after you wait and wait and wait, and eventually you hit that point where it just seems so hopeless that something will ever come in the mail. Depression, anger, drwoziness, and uncontrollable flatulence occur in that order. And I had better get the Lego magazine quick, because I'm on the first stage! ^Magazinitis is not a real disease. It's just something I made up right now to fill up today's entry. Don't worry -- I'm not a psycho. ^ ~ |\A/| <- Vahi
  11. Tuesday, July 25, 2006 I am having the most rugged time reading this book. It's brutal. One of the most boring books I've ever had to read. And I'm on page 91/356. And I have to finish it by tomorrow. At this point, I'm actually forming a deep, personal hate towards the author  .

    Monday

Monday, July 24, 2006 Had to write a paper last night, so I lost a bit of sleep. I think it turned out pretty well, though. I recharged my batteries about 3:00-6:30, so I'm doing okay and not feeling terrible. This summer school thing is getting really old now :annoyed2: . Last night I had to write a report. Now I have to read a book. A big book. Try 350 pages. And it's not even fiction. It's some guy chronicling his experience in Vietnam. And that doesn't make for a very exciting read. Even better -- the test is Wednesday, so I have to read half of it tonight, and half of it tomorrow, which is my day off. It's 7:30 now, and I'm on page 16. So...yeah...I'll get around to it. Only three more days to go!
  14. Sunday, July 23, 2006 I have returned from a small voyage to a couple states away to pick up my brother from band camp. I just came back last night with my dad. My brother decided to stay in the area with my mom for a while to have some vacation fun because he's crazy. As for me, I have to write a three-page paper for summer school today. Yahoo. I also have to say that I got Axonn and Brutaka at last on Thursday. I had no idea Brutaka was so much taller than Axonn. And don't forget to consider entry #7 in Metru Nui semifinal poll A!

    Thursday

Thursday, July 20, 2006 I had a day off from summer school today. I couldn't be a bum and sleep in because of a thunderstorm, though. Last day of tennis for me. So, everyone has a blog now. Good for them. But we premier members are kind of drowning in this sea of fresh new blogs.
  16. Wednesday, July 19, 2006 I went to Medieval Times tonight for an out-of-school project. It was pretty cool. I visited the torture chamber, which showed some creative ways to cause pain. They served us food as we watched actors joust with each other and fight each other according to set choreography. Also, apparently, a popular ale called "Pepsi" existed in the Middle Ages.
  17. Tuesday, July 18, 2006 My status today: sleep-deprived, behind in homework, dehydrated, exhausted. Not a good combination. It's just one of those days...
  18. The truth behind Benjamin Franklin's famous key-on-a-kite experiment: the electrical properties of lightning didn't matter as long as he became a Toa Inika. I'm saying this now because we have some intense lightning up in the clouds. The silent kind, the kind that illuminates the whole sky and reveals awkward colors in the clouds. It's really eerie, like the beginning of War of the Worlds.
  19. Monday, July 17, 2006 Today was ridiculously hot and humid, and so my two hours on the tennis courts was an inferno. I almost died. The only comfort I had out there was seeing the football campers running around and doing strenuous drills on the field in full padding/armor. Now that must have been torture. But I still suffered much more than I liked on that desert of concrete. My water heated up within a half-hour, my sides cramped while running...not pleasant.

    Off To San Diego

No, if there was a sales collapse. Unless some sudden decline in sales occurs out of nowhere, Bionicle is going to do just fine. Well then happy birthday, GregF! Thanks for being one cool dude B) . Hope your work goes well, travelling and all. And I haven't heard of "Free the Band" yet - sounds like something that I'll be looking into.

    Sunday

Sunday, July 16, 2006 It's a scorcher B) . Really hot and humid. 'Twas a good day today to sit around and do nothing, and so nothing I did. Honestly, I don't know what was so great about today that's worth sharing.

    Saturday

Saturday, July 15, 2006 Nothing to do today. Just the way I like it. I got my Brickmaster set in the mail today. It's an X-Pod, the blue/white robot one. My little brother already bought that set, and that was months ago, so it's not exactly a brand new set. Not doing much. Maybe working on MOCs, reading the Da Vinci Code, TV, etc. Maybe I should get out of here and see if any friends share my boredom.
  23. Friday, July 14, 2006 So, another Friday has arrived. I'm reading the Da Vinci Code right now - just something of note. School wasn't that bad - videos, breaks, all that good stuff. The new Bionicle Heroes screenshots are alright. It looks like the game is going to have a more Lego-ish theme; that is, rebuilding lego elements in the game as a way of progressing through the level. Similar to the Lego Star Wars game that they made. I only saw glimpses of the SW game once, but I can already see how it will be similar to the way Bionicle Heroes is going to be. I predict the game will have a very limited amount of storyline involved, replaced with more strategic gameplay.

    All Day!

Thursday, July 13, 2006 Man, the server was down ALL DAY! I actually read or did homework rather than drool in front of the computer. How could the server put me through that!? Oh, and by the way, no amount of bubble wrap is going to help me cope with total boredom. Day off from school. Tennis. Yet another relative coming over (uncle). Usual day.
  25. Wednesday, July 12, 2006 Pretty easy day today. We got to watch videos in class, got about an hour and fifteen minutes worth of break time, and we got to see a magician for about forty-five minutes. Not so bad for a class day. When I got home, I did the exact same thing I did yesterday: sleep from ~1:30 until I have to wake up to go to tennis. In tennis we did some annoying warmups: suicides, karaoke walk (), making it to the other side of the court in five jumps or so. Needless to say, I'm not feeling very energetic. As for Bionicle in my life... My S&T Contest entry got a few more votes, and that was cool. I'm rereading all of the Bionicle comics all in one line of thought over the next few days, so I can appreciate the storytelling a bit more. The problem before was that I never really read them in that way; I would always flip throug the comics when they came in the mail months apart, and then I would set them back down again. When I did that, I couldn't really follow the linear story within the comics because my memory would never stretch back that far well. So I'm doing something about that. I hope I can get the playsets off of S@H soon...we'll see how that goes. Uploaded some new MOCs on Brickshelf.
