  1. So, episodes were amazing.

Sad to see Discord not showing up, but I guess that's fine. The Changelings were plenty creepy. Absolutely loved all the holes in them. The end was also pretty nice. All the pictures being taken (Spike and Sweetie Belle, Rarity and Fancy Pants) were cute. Also, DJ Pon3 took off her glasses/goggles. Did anyone catch the eye-color?Sad to see Luna not being in there much, but just her appearing was a welcome sight.

  2. Thing is, Ninjago isn't an entirely Oriental world. It's a modern day land with cultural ties. It has big metropolis co-existing with small villages that appear mostly based around their seemingly ancient culture. It only makes sense that there'd be vehicles in this world what with the technology they have already. I'm fine with all the factions having vehicles because, to me, it makes sense. I mean, If I were a ninja in that world, you can bet I'd get a vehicle to help me fight my opponents.Besides, their dragons flew away. They needed a replacement for them. And Lego needs to sell toys :P .Not saying I didn't enjoy the dragons. One of my goals for 2011 was to get all four dragons (which I did), and I prefer them over the new vehicles (though I don't possess any on the Ninja's vehicles, so it's purely based on designs and pictures). Also, there really aren't many iconic Oriental themes that can be made into sets. Vehicles and technology are a lot more versatile when it comes to designing sets. I'd rather have unique vehicles than generic temples.Kalhiki

  3. Just got the game yesterday. So far, I'm loving everything from the soundtrack to narration to artwork. Also, for those that bought it through Steam and got the soundtrack with it, where does the soundtrack download? I can't find it anywhere on my computer.Kalhiki

  4. :kaukau: I don't keep much track of Hero Factory sets so I really don't know what this is about, but regarding the size thing that people keep on bringing up: I've noticed that the difference between set size and actual in-story character size is a bit different. The Inika were so much taller than the Nuva in terms of sets, and yet the Nuva were really the big tough guys in-story.Your Honor,Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

Thing is, Jawblade is both small as a set and in the story. Like I said before, I imagine Jawblade as a massive beast.Kalhiki
  5. Well, it'd help if I actually knew these people. I just see them in shirts every now and again. I can't walk up to a random group of people and just announce I watch the same cartoon as them. :P

If you see one wearing a Pony shirt just say casually "nice shirt". Be careful, though. You wouldn't want to sound like you're teasing them. So, yeah. Pretty much everyone in my family knows. Parents and brother enjoy the show, sisters are a little confused. Three friends know, one being a fan (I think he still is), one being familiar with the show, and the other refuses to become a Brony. So, back to my sisters. They think it's weird I watch MLP, but they don't find it odd that they (who are both in their twenties) can watch Yo Gabba Gabba.Wut? Kalhiki
  6. The doom box (according to the plot summary for a young reader's book) is a device that can grow, trap stuff inside it, then shrink rapidly and crush its occupants. It can potentially grow the size of the universe. No idea why the villains would want that to happen, though...

Because LEGO villains like releasing powerful things that devour and destroy anything in their way without realizing that they will be destroyed as well. :P-Gata signoff.jpg
Going to have to call in the ninjas for this one!So, I saw the episode. I really wish Lego would have released Arachnix Drones in polybags as exclusives or something. I'd love to have a whole army of them. Also am tempted to paint mine red and maybe attach a tail to it (I thought the tail was adorable)Kalhiki
  7. Jawblade seems a little too big.

Indeed he is quite large compared to both the set and the show. But personally, I view him to be a massive, threatening shark, and not the tiny thing the toy is.

A minor point of criticism remains, though - maybe you could have added more contrast in terms of shading. Or make the glowing parts a bit brighter. (But that's just my opinion ^^' )

I agree with you there. I'm still new at Paint Tool Sai, so not sure what all it's capable of. Never was a fan of shading (when I'm just drawing, that is. Never got the hang of it), so the shading here was mainly just practice for me. Hopefully I'll get better in the future.Kalhiki
  8. Well, I got a Wacom Tablet, and to test out its capabilities, I drew my interpretation of Makuta (aka, a big, hulking brute somewhat inspired by Bionicle: The Game's version)So without further ado:makuta.jpgOnce again, like my Takua and Jaller picture, no background. But I didn't want it to detract from the main man himself. Note: I do know that some lines aren't very clean, but he's the the big baddie, so he doesn't need to be clean.Hope you enjoy.Kalhiki

  9. My opinion on shipping: if it works, I'm fine with it. Bon Bon/Lyra I've excepted. Fluttershy/Rainbow Dash is also fine as they've appeared to be pretty close on several occasions. Rarity/Spike... Aside from the species differences, okay, sure. But, really, Spike's a baby, and don't most people act like that toward babies?Kalhiki

  10. I was bored, so I whipped up a little picture of Takua and Jaller in Paint Tool Sai. Mainly focused on the characters which explains the lack of a background.takuaandjaller.jpgSo, there they are looking spiffy. Takua's getting ready to fight... something, and Jaller's just standing there thinking he's too good for this. Or whatever interpretation you want to get out of it.Kalhiki
