  1. I agree artwork makes a big difference in making a world more immersive, but to be honest we have gotten quite a bit of artwork for Okoto thanks to the Facebook page, the background art from of the packaging, and the webisodes. I mean, just take a look at BS01's Okoto gallery. That's all from one year, and doesn't even include things like the "Month of (element)" and "Happy Easter" art from the Facebook page, or scans from the graphic novel — all of which gave us new glimpses into Okoto's scenery. The main thing we don't have this generation are video games like the Mata Nui Online Game that let you experience the island firsthand. I can't pretend I don't miss that kind of immersive gameplay. The two mobile games so far are not too bad in terms of gameplay but offer hardly any kind of world-building due to their repetitive arena-style level design. I have to agree with you on this part, the video games for this generation of Bionicle are terrible. It's seems more like a attention-grabber for kids rather than a game like MNOG, but I guess Lego has a different viewpoint on games as compared to the past. At least we can be grateful that they are willing to do a Netflix series for Bionicle and not continue with the 2015 animations.
  2. A reboot?! Nooo!!!! So much for my hopes in the continuation of the Bionicle storyline we have come to loved. Guess it will forever be stuck at a standstill now. :'( EDIT Reaction: Onya? It sounds okay but I thought Onua sounded very fitting (no I'm not throwing my nostalgia at this ) Ooo, I wonder who the black mask being in the background is.... (Teridax/Makuta, is that you?) 2nd EDIT: Oh Onya was just a typo! Yay Onua returns! (You can stop creating your RIP Onua 2000 - 2014 pics now)
  3. The more new information about Bionicle, the more I'm even doubtful if its a continuation over a reboot. All these mixed feelings. Please just give us a sign TLC! :'( Otherwise, I do enjoy the island name but it leaves a lot of unanswered questions as to why the Toa Mata are all back together when we last saw them. 3 were managing the spherus magna population, 2 were trapped in the red star, and 1 is being held captive by angry villagers.
  4. Yes! We've waited four years to hear this news and now having five years past, Bionicle make its triumphant return to shelves! These dark times be terrible but looks like persistent and Ninjago really got Lego to rethink their market strategy (plus I think they hit a jackpot judging by the amount of craze and hype its given rise to in the Internet).
  5. Hi Oroki! Hope you don't mind a small and I hope easy request from me to play the Bionicle Mask of Light Theme Song (the all-familiar theme song we all grew to love I hope!), I was hoping you can do a reendition rather than just follow the piano. Here's the link if you need it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbJqNAVeRdc All the best! I'm open for consultation if you need it. From one piano player to another, Zaktansnake
  6. I've caught up with the new season and I have to say its much better than I anticipated. While Laval and the gang are now back to being best buds (even after trying to kill each other back in Season 1), they are tasked with a even greater mission that brings them to the outlands (where there is a intricate plot behind the existence of the black cloud, people will be able to piece the pieces with the current eps). The addition of Lavertus as Shadowwind makes for a interesting discussion especially when it comes to uncovering his past and possible character development for the main 8. Its good to see that unlike Hero Factory (the most recent ep was horrendous), Chima retains what makes it good as a cartoon and that's the humour and single-mindedness of the main characters, this leaves for much character development as we work deeper into Chima's storyline and good jokes that can help us relate to the new generation of Lego fans (who might be our own children).
  7. haha I see what you did there Fresh. You used elements from Arby n' the Chief Movie for the Golden Skinned Being's Powers that Be Chapter. Nice move.- Zaktansnake
  8. Hey Fresh! Long time no see, it's good to see A Day in the Life of GregF revived and you still haven't lost that sense of humour. Keep up the good work, and I hope my search for coffee is still ongoing. - Zaktansnake
