  1. I can't seem to find a good picture of Emperor Manuel Komnenos. Oh well, at least I made a pimpin' take on his parents.

Why can't there be more awesome jokes like that? Oh yeah, that's right: England gets all the attention for Medieval times.

  2. There is a typo in your name. No wait, make that a plural.

Which one? the one with the giant alien toddler? Or the army of decapitated Omega Supreme knockoffs?

The one where this teenager human falls in love with an autobot after he/it saved her, and the many moments of laughable awkwardness from forced dates that came afterwards. the entire time I was all like, "Is this for real?!" xD

      Oh, the Powerglide episode...

Now I feel sorry for you.

  3. With there going to be a Star Wars movie each year now, is anyone else afraid that the magic will vanish and it will become tiresome, like Marvel movies?

Personal theory of mine: What the other movies had was more cosmic conflict that is rooted in the legends and myths that inspired Star Wars. The Force Awakens just feels shallow compared to the previous six. It makes no apparent call back to stories that touch the heart, instead it is self-referential, being Star Wars and harking back to Star Wars.

    3. The Hip Historian Iaredios

      The Hip Historian Iaredios

Also, another theory of mine: The Prequel Trilogy is sometimes over the top because it is a romanticized recording of history meant to be performed in a play or an opera (or a space opera...)

    4. Erasmus Graves

      Erasmus Graves

That theory's probably true. Someone ought to ring up George Lucas and get it confirmed.

  4. How is it that I have one more star then you? I don't understand.

That, except I finally got enough support after half a year to have Bonkle permanently kicked.

    3. Ghidora131

      Ghidora131

Oh, and Bonkle never actually owned anything more than Shadow did.

It was a weak reference. Also, I was going to say "So, you exiled your Marius?", but thats unfair to either of you.

  5. Nice signature! It takes me back to my early years here on BZPower, back when I called myself RC15O5. Thanks for the nostalgia. :)

  6. For some reason, I have an itch to watch a movie adaptation of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. I keep having the quote from the play I have in my quote section playing through my head... This should sate my itch for the time being.

Cry havoc, and let slip let slip the dogs of war!

The thing is, there hasn't been a great adaptation of J.C. for decades (that I know of). There're only a few, but they're pretty good. Quality over quantity, eh?

    3. The Hip Historian Iaredios

      The Hip Historian Iaredios

Last one i saw as an African adaptation, where it is all set in like the kongo yet none of the words have changed. Very strange but well acted.

"That this FOUL DEED shall SMELL ABOVE THE EARTH, with carrion men, groaning for burial..." Just epic, man.

    2. 25K Now!

      25K Now!

You mean the really unsubtle Jesus metaphors, awkwardly thrown-in foreshadowing for more DCEU movies, Lex's connection to the New Gods which came out of nowhere because they cut out the scene where he communes with Steppenwolf, pulling off the Death of Superman without establishing the necessary grounding to give it its proper impact, and a general lack of thematic consistency?

    3. The Hip Historian Iaredios

      The Hip Historian Iaredios

I hated the DCEU Meta-Human stuff, it was rudely shoehorned in. And the entire theme was about human fear of the unknown. Some people can't handle the thought of a greater power. If you had asked me this stuff right after I saw the movie I would have a more comprehensive rebuttal; i had it all thought out. I need to see it again.

    4. The Hip Historian Iaredios

      The Hip Historian Iaredios

It's not the perfect movie, but i thought it was great. Can't wait to see the unrated extended director's cut.

  8. The day is closing, and I feel I need to come out and say something I've been needing to say for a while. ...I like coffee. No, I love it. Everything bad I've ever said about coffee, was a way to strengthen myself and my feelings. Well, I don't need to hide anymore! I AM AN AVID COFFEE DRINKER!!

Thanks! My signature has been devoid of any substance since I informally left BZPower, so since I've been upping activity lately I decided to start adding to it again. What better to start with than some great philosophy? :)

      Jakura Nuva

      LOL.

They can try, but they won't have much ground to stand on. After all, there's nothing overtly religious about it, and therefore it doesn't break any rules.

      Uh... How?

    3. Ghidora131

      Ghidora131

I mean, I can see Rock being singular and Stone being a large, undisturbed quantity - but I can see it the other way around, too.

I don't want any arguments here, that phase of my life is behind me and not only do I dread them, my tongue is also dull and needs some sharpening.

    4. The Hip Historian Iaredios

      The Hip Historian Iaredios

Wouldn't be the first time I've confronted authority. Once got into an argument with my grandfather, and he couldn't win so he just kept yelling louder. I just stood there, scared stiff underneath, but visibly calm and responded as such, which only infuriated him more. Funny, that I don't remember what the whole thing was about, only the experience itself. I think I gained more respect from him after that.

Can't deny that. Bach was the true master of polyphony, and he blended all these different rhythms and melodies into one incredible river of sound.

While I enjoy Carolus Rex and the eponymous King Charles 12th of the Swedish Empire makes for an epic read, the only two things that and Bach have in common is that they both lived around the same time and they lived on the same continent. While one made great music and met powerful rulers, the other spent his entire life, from 15 years of age until death, fighting in never-ending warfare, the Great Northern War, and used superior brainwashed soldiers called the Caroleans.

kids why would you bring that rotten meat in here of all places

  19. Small rant: Why do people capitalize the word 'gods'? People capitalize the word god when referring to the powerful, sentient being of the Judeo-Christian spirituality because it is a title in place of a name (which you capitalize), not some member of a race or species. We don't capitalize 'humans', 'cats' or 'ducks' all the time, do we? The English Language isn't Wookiepedia. :P I just feel like it's passive-agressive wording.

  20. *reads profile* "While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were broken to pieces at the same time and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer. The wind swept them away without leaving a trace. But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain, and filled the whole Earth."

That leads to a title, and that title leads to something indirectly touched upon in your profile. Can you connect the dots?
