  1. This doesn’t really help too much with the search for the video, but I actually talked with the band about it about seven years ago. They played a show in my hometown and I got a chance to hang out with them after the show. Tyson wasn’t too interested in talking bonkles with me (there were a lot of attractive girls there and that seemed to be his priority), but I actually got a good little chat in with the guitarist Nick. He said that if the promotion had really earned him a loyal fan like me, then it was worth it. But he also said that overall, the promotion hadn’t seemed to have done them a lot of good, and they mostly regretted it. So I guess it’s entirely possible that the band requested that those videos be taken down, as some kind of PR consideration.
  2. Thanks! That's a more satisfactory answer! Haha... I found this on google: http://cdn28.us1.fansshare.com/photograph/bioniclethegame/bionicle-game-eu-uk-scan-794281191.jpg ...so I guess it's true!
  3. Question for you all, I've been out of the Bionicle game for a while. Now that I'm getting back into it, I'm kinda on a quest to reclaim all the knowledge I had before. It's a daunting task, but an enjoyable one, as I get to relive my childhood, and also introduce my wife to the series. Anyway, my question: What set does piece 48253 come from originally? It's called the "chronicler's staff," but to my knowledge was not included in the Takua and Pewku set. The earliest set I can find on Bricklink and similar sites that includes the piece is 8811 Toa Lhikan and Kikanalo, but I find it hard to believe that the origin of this piece is a kangaroo/buffalo rahi's nose... Anybody happen to know if this is really the first appearance of the piece, or if it actually came from an earlier set?
  4. Aha! I was hoping there was still something out there! Was it a BZPer that designed that?
  5. Oh, was it? Dang, I was like 17 or something when I heard about it; I should've known better. Were the pictures just photoshopped? Edit: I just found the MoD article on it, that says it's a joke... Needless to say, I'm kinda sad now, haha...
  6. I looked through the official collectibles sticky, and didn't see anything on these. I only know of three in existence, and as such I'm not sure I'd be able to afford something of that rarity. But at the very least, I'm curious about the whereabouts and ownership of these masks. If the price was right, I'd definitely be interested in a purchase, and if not, I'm sure there are some Kanohi collectors who would be interested. So, does anybody have any information on this mask?
  7. Do you know what color the Vahi is? EDIT: Nevermind, I found the vahki/vahi set on the official collectibles topic; it's gold. I'm interested.
  8. Doesn't that kind of ruin the nostalgia of the thing? Idk, maybe it's just a personal preference.....
  9. No way!! That's freaking awesome!!! I don't even remember this contest..... I'm so jealous, but congratulations!!!!
  10. For me it's more about obtaining it as a collectible. I like to say I have an actual copy with the cover art, lyric book, etc....
  11. The only playset I ever got. Pretty cool. That was so long ago, though.... kinda sad.... So true.....
  12. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!(CLICK)Edit: I totally agree.
  13. I can't remember, because it was so long ago for me, but I believe there was a really awesome fan-made game that took place in metru nui. To describe it, I think I would say it's kind of a combination between the mnogs and vnog. And it was awesome. I really wish I could remember what it was, I would totally try to find a way to play it. You could play akilini!
  14. I have to say I'm kind of in the same situation as you. I haven't been here on BZP for years until recently, and I'm headed off to college in January. But I always loved Cryoshell music and vowed that one day I'd buy the CD. (Speaking of which, is there any way to get a physical copy of the CD in the U.S? Or do I have to download it?) I haven't gotten it yet, but your post may be just the motivation I need. What exactly do you mean by this? What?? !!! hahaha.... I'm wondering where you guys are getting all your info on the band. I was suscribed to them on [a video sharing site], and I think I liked their page on [a social networking site], but I haven't heard anything from them for years. She's pregnant? There doing work for HF now? I would very much like to know where you guys get your information...
