About Me

Well, to start, I'll reveal where I live and my nationality. The USA, in the state that appears alphabetically first, sweet home Alabama. And while I may have lived in the south for most of my days, I am NOT a redneck. I am an American, of mixed European and Native heritage, born in California.

Now, with that part done I guess it's time for my interests.

I enjoy a couple of genres of video games. Mostly, I enjoy western RPGs and strategy games. For RPGs, I like the Elder Scrolls and Fallout. For strategy games, I love the games that Paradox Interactive produces, mostly Victoria II, but also Europa Universalis III, to a lesser extent. I used to be devoted to such titles as Call of Duty. But nowadays my interest in the FPS genre is limited to Team Fortress 2.

I enjoy books primarily from the fantasy genre. Harry Potter and Bionicle books were mainstays of my youth. I also read the Pendragon Saga and Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Nowadays, I'm moving away steadily from young adult novels, to more mature books. Game of Thrones, and the works of Edgar Allan Poe are among many books I'm beginning to get into.

Next, I come to music. The primary genres I like are rock (1950s-1980s Classic Rock and modern Indie Rock), Folk/Songwriters, Jazz and Metal. The Beatles, Steely Dan, Mumford & Son and Louis Armstrong are among many, many artists I enjoy.

I am an active member of the BSA, Life Scout, in particular. A low level OA member and summer camp counselor. I enjoy the friends I have in the organization, the camping and the various other activities the Scouts offer.

And I think that's all I can think of for now. Thanks for reading.

(Update, ages upon ages later, 2019) I'm a college student now, History with an English Minor, still in the same general area. To anyone still somehow reading this, I come back on occasion for nostalgia's sake. And thank the community for the memories it's given.
