  1. First, the bats fly the spiders up to clog the falls with webs. Second, chi solidifies inside the mountain and gets stuck in the webs. Lastly, there becomes too much solid chi at the entrance of the falls for the water to pass through. As for the pressure part, "Chima logic" is the best explanation.

  2.

Well I was going to say Razar is my number 1 favorite but he went out to 2nd because of something he have said.

My 2nd favorite is Razar beucase of everything about him but he soon became dead to me because of things he had said in season 2

What did he say? I might have missed it.

He ranted Laval for not telling everyone about how the dark tribes were created by the Chi he dropped into the gorge, calling him untrustworthy.

My favorite characters are Razar, Crominus, and Lavertus.

  3. Honestly, it depends on what condition the set is in.

I find it rather easy to find second-hand sets for a decent price on bricklink, and as said before, it can be a good idea to test your luck with ebay "lots".

However, finding sealed sets is an entirely different story.

It's not impossible to find sealed sets, but you'd better be willing to fork up quite a bit of money to get them. I'm talking 150-some odd dollars for Tahu Mata on Amazon! And while that's a rather extreme example, most sealed set's are quite over priced.

  4. Wow. It's kind of hard to believe there isn't already a topic like this!

Anyways, with Chima it's pretty clear that the TV show is the main medium for expressing the story, so I'd like to give everyone a place to express their opinions on the show thus far and speculate, discuss, and perhaps even(non-flame) argue about the storyline! Also, before you run wild, I would appreciate it if you hide season two discussion in spoilers for those people who haven't seen any of it yet.

(I'll add my own thoughts when I have the time)

  5.

Wow, those look great, hope to see more soon and hope to see the Panda Tribe :P

Also I may can help as well, I can just make the screenshots or find some that are already made.

    lol panda tribe.

I'd really appreciate it if you could get some good screenshots!

I have gotten some three different screenshots of the Lions, Eagles and Wolves but I don't think the Lion one look good at all so I may try and find a better one later.

I'll definitely be using the eagle one. When you're looking for more can you find them in their corresponding locations?(lions in front of their temple, wolves at their camp, etc)

  7. There was really almost nothing I liked about it, outside of the animation. The characters annoyed me. The plot annoyed me. The script annoyed me. And worst of all, it bored me. I suppose I can always give it a second chance, though.

That about sums up the first season.

I can't say for sure that you'll like the second, but I must admit that I certainly am. Although, that's in comparison with the first, so really not saying much overall.

  8. Second season? I didn't even know it had a first. Has it been greatly improved after the initial two-episode special? I essentially ditched the theme after that. It bored me out of my mind. Even my younger sisters didn't care for it. I can't remember for sure, but I think they fell asleep before the first half-hour was done.

The rest of the first season is about the same in quality, albeit a little faster paced. The second season is much higher quality with a driving plot and convincing villains. Also, assuming it's the pacing you're worrying about, the second season is set in a state of urgency and and the main plot line is based around a quest into dangerous lands, so it's alot better in that respect.

  9. So, in the spirit of the month, I figured I'd exercise my gimp "skillz" and put together some banners for each tribe in chima. Once they're all completed, you guys can "represent" your favorite tribe. I would have more done currently, but I'm having trouble finding pictures for them. the main thing is that I can't find good backgrounds that are screenshots from the show with a few of the tribe members in an appropriate setting. If you want to help out, finding such pictures (similar to the one I have for the crocs) would be great! Never-the-less, there ARE more coming, just be patient. Finding these pics is harder than it should be.

Anyways, here's the first one (for the crocs):

    Tell me what you think!

  10. The second season is far better than the first as far as I'm concerned. The first season was more along the lines of whiny animal teenagers making big political decisions and screwing up left and right. The second season is about the backlash of the first and how the now, somewhat more mature characters are trying to restore the peace and stop the new foe. In short, yes, as painful as it may be to watch the first, the second is certainly worth it.

  11. In many cases, people don't like the name Teridax simply because it isn't Makuta.

In my opinion, the name reflects the feel of Bionicle at the given time. "Makuta" was the dark and mysterious spirit that plagued the tropical island of Mata Nui with destruction and disease. The Makuta of Metru Nui was the "guardian" of the City of Legends who had turned on the city, putting all the inhabitants into comas then invading it with hordes of soldiers. Teridax was the makuta who sent his brethren to die in the core of the universe while he made his way to the "control room" to... manipulate it as he sees fit and travel from planet to planet expressing his ultimate power.

People don't like it because it doesn't hold nostalgia and feels different, which reflects the time period that it was introduced in.

  12. Awesome! Good to know when to expect them.

Also, the summaries are intriguing. I have a pretty clear guess on who the "stranger" is, but I'm curious who these "old enemies underground" are. Most likely, it's the skellies, but it would be more than cool to see the Serpentine in action again.

I hope that I'll have some sort of television to watch these on when they air or that Lego or Cartoon Network posts them online. Otherwise, I'll have to wait even longer for a DVD release.

There are some places you can find the episodes online. If you haven't seen the first two episodes of this year, I can PM you the links.

  13. Very interesting. I've never seen a take on hero factory quite like this. This version provides much more character in my opinion, and that's something dearly lacking in the official HF. Very well done!

Can't wait until we meet some insane, chemical spraying baddies. :)

Now I know that these characters are in fact human, so this may seem a little redundant... but I like how human you've made them. Duncan's referring to Preston as "dude", for example.
I'm quite interested to see where this goes. Jessica Surge (?) might be an interesting character, though out of all the rookies we've not seen much of her yet.
You're also continuing to make me curious about Ralph. Not, by any chance, Ralph Von Ness?

I'd be surprised if it wasn't Ralph "Nebula". :P
