  1. Call of Tudy, duh. It's actually Completely Off Topic. I dunno though, I see a few new guys in the game topics like the describing threads when I pop in there once in a blue moon.
  2. Could turn out interesting, but frankly I'm not feeling the new suits based on Kai. Not sure about the pirates but the aesthetic looks promising.
  3. Wait, guys, Tekulo's not home! Let's all go hang out on his lawn! Yeah!
  4. Ah, this is a raven tribe? So if they were transferred to Bionicle, would they become...Poe-Matoran? There's only one proper response to that.
  5. Reason one of many why the ravens are the best tribe.

    Pohatu vs...?

You know, from my experience, trying to explain something by simplifying it to "basically Kamen Rider" usually doesn't help. : (
  7. Well, it made it, so that's cool. I'm hoping I can still contribute at a backer level in what little time there is left, been having other expenses lately so I dunno. It's gonna be cool when it comes out tho. Also, maybe by the time it comes out I'll have actually played Transistor. Or Shantae. I've owned them games for months now. Should probably check them out some time. (in it all for the naga rider tho)
  8. I'm not optimistic about what this would mean for humanity's gender ratios.
  9. I always thought they were in the spirit of BIONICE. Did...did they all DIE....ON ICE????
  10. That wasn't even Marvel like MCU Marvel though, It was Sony. Unless you mean the second time. Then it was only half Marvel.
  11. Yeah, a couple of people. His mosquito buddy also seems to have them. It's kinda weird, but eh
  12. Far as I can tell only Lewa and his creature (moskitox? probably moskitox.) have those. Tahu and Kopaka definitely has gray ones, and I don't see any yellow anywhere else. It's certainly random, but I don't think it looks out of place on the Jungle sets.
  13. I have...mixed opinions of these. Most of the masks are really cool, but some of the builds leave me wondering. With Pohatu as the image loaded I went from "wow that mask looks really cool" to "wait what the ###### is with those arms." Really just...mixed opinions. Lewa is cool but I miss the orange. Gali is one of the better ones, she has a nice color scheme and an awesome weapon. Gold mask looks pretty terrible on her though. Pohatu's mask is great, and the color scheme is decent, but man does he really just not look that good. There's some nice things going on with Onua, but I don't like his mask or his feet or his shoulders or...eh, he's ok. Weapon is cool. Kopaka is a load of eh. Tahu I thought would be my favorite and...yeah, I guess so. The fact that he has so little solid red is a definite flaw (though I'm sure the render only makes it look worse) and he has way too many different kinds or armor, but I love his colors. Red and blue are an underappreciated combo, and it looks great on him. Could use some on his arms though... I don't care about any of the creatures, the same head thing kills it for me. I guess Akida is cool though. Umarak has a cool head and stuff, but the legs are a mess and I just can't seem to get excited about him. Not super big on the Mask of Control either. All in all, not terribly excited about these, and I doubt I'm gonna be buying a lot. I'm more than satisfied with the 2015 Toa, so none of these really grab my attention too much. I'll probably be getting Tahu, maybe Gali, and the maybe-est maybes of all for Pohatu. But that's it. The technic colors here are weird, though, as an aside. Lewa indeed has yellow 3m axles, but from what I can tell that's exclusive to him (Tahu has gray, for sure). And it sure looks like Gali has black 2m axles. Kind of odd. Oh yeah, and I'm not a fan of the fact that we seem to have downgraded to having just two eye colors. That's not good.
  14. I think most people, if they've followed something long enough, have experienced this on some level. Like, I like to take Homestuck as my example. I was a fan for a long time before some characters and species and entire concepts were introduced into the comic. At the time, they were extremely big deals, but nowadays they're just simple, common knowledge. I imagine that even people who aren't fans of Homestuck may know what a cherub looks like (if not what they are or what their name is or even really where they come from), and anyone who starts getting interested in the comic is going to know the B2 kids exist. On the other hand, I became a fan a tad too late to experience the trolls firsthand, and the trolls are probably the most recognizable part of the comic from an outside perspective. I had no idea what their deal was when I started reading, but I still knew their deal existed. I do kinda wish I had experienced that firsthand. And oh geez, Japanese magazines are the worst. For like. Toei stuff. I'm a fan of Kamen Rider, and every month there's magazine scans outlining the plots, new forms and developments for pretty much the entire series. New mysterious characters? Emotional character deaths? Important new form changes? Expect to know about them all well in advance, That is, if it's not something leaked in toy catalogs several months beforehand already. It's pretty much the perfect environment to almost never be surprised by anything. I guess I could always just...not look at those hot new leaks. But man who has the patience when there's new information about stuff you like afoot. It's a struggle.
  15. Based on the name, I'm guessing it's more like whales and hippos turn into each other. AniWhippomorphs style.
  16. Ok so, update on my ongoing anime (and other) activity... Started Azumanga Daioh, little more than halfway through. Pretty good. Azumanga Daioh the manga was always fun, and the anime is little different. Love Osaka a lot in this (Tomo is no less annoying, fittingly enough, I guess). Finished Digimon Frontier. Last arc was surprisingly good, and the last handful of episodes just really nice in general. Not a bad series all in all, but not amazing. I finished reading Tokyo Ghoul, it was pretty good. Man, was Root A just a chunk of terrible. They took so much random stuff from the manga devoid of context and just...botched it all up. It deserved so much better. It was really pretty good. And it actually made some sense as opposed to not. Finished the first season of Hidamari Sketch (pretty good) and now I'm watching x 365. It's also pretty good. Same old good, laid back humor. Also started watching Futari wa Precure. Despite a bit of a mixed start, by episode 11, with more focus on the two of them instead of just Nagisa, it's shaping up to be pretty decent. Mepple's still a little jerk though. And lastly I watched School-Live! In short, it was awesome. Loved this series. Delusions and sadness, plenty of twists, what more could one possibly want. Good frigging stuff. Anyway, I got volume 5 of Index yesterday. It mostly just reminds me that I have yet to find the time to read volume 4, so I should...do that. I also got the first volume of Accelerator, so that should be interesting. Got a couple of other volumes of manga but I just haven't had time to check any of it out yet. Index should probably come first...
  17. We need a new one for the Stars Mo' Mo' Piraka
  18. My least favorite thing about the movies is that they always hijacked the important parts out of any given year, which meant everything else in the year both didn't really matter and often left an incomplete picture of everything that happened (and in the worst cases the stuff in the movie didn't really fit with what came before it). The comics from movie years are the worst.
  19. There is one word that comes to mind when seeing these things for the first time, but let me tell you, it's not fridge.
  20. White's definitely the best Pokemon game I've played. I really want to replay it but I don't want to erase my file...I really like pretty much everything about it, though.
  21. That's only if you're taking Hussie's word very literally (never the best choice). Also ignoring that he's said that more pages are done than what he has posted. The remaining pages could well be around the ballpark of 80-100, but any more wouldn't be odd at all.
  22. That is one late response to the Omegapause. I'm pretty over it, by now. Homestuck is still a way ago from finishing, and I guess that's ok. The last intermissions wasn't that good anyway. I just hope Hiveswap comes out before the year is over...
  23. Bu...but. That's like my favorite blockbuster...cat-boom....
