  1. Love to see that sword piece get some use. Great colour scheme.
  2. As a Bionicle fan, he might visit even if he doesn't post. It could also be a leftover shortcut from the old days...
  3. The vehicle is neat, but I really like your matoran build.
  4. Thank you Mushy! I'm not sure how warranted birthday topics are on this site anymore, but I appreciate it nonetheless. I like the cats and cake. I've got a pretty excited day lined up for myself. Nothing BZP or Bionicle or Lego related, but I had some of that yesterday. Planning to get outside and enjoy the day with some friends.
  5. To actually answer your question, I think the seasons of the show starting with 2023 have been some of the best. Much better than the slump post-movie.
  6. The most notable thing I see there is the prototype shadow leech.
  7. Good collection. I was definitely big into stuffed animals as a very young kid before I got into Lego.
  8. My cousin and I set up Steam Family Library Sharing, so I've been playing some of her favorite titles this year, namely the Steve Jackson's Sorcery! games, an adaptation of an old gamebook. I also tried out my first Elder Scrolls Game last night. She's quite the gamer. I feel like I've been able to learn more about her through playing her games and it's given us something fun to talk about, even if I have become frustrated at points. On the competitive side of of things, I have hit a couple ranked goals. I made it to Gold in League of Legends. This will probably be my last season playing that game, as I don't want to install an anticheat software that has to be always on on my computer. And I hit Masters in Legends of Runeterra, which is also I think the last ranked season as they're going to cease to release new cards for that game soon. It's quite a pity, I really enjoyed it while it lasted.
  9. Glad to see you still going. Don't worry about taking longer between comics; greatness can't be rushed.
  10. While a TV might have helped the line financially, I think having the chapter books helped inspire a love of reading among young fans, including myself and I'm guessing you too.
  11. As others have said, it is a good idea to familiarize yourself with the rules of a community before joining it. "LURK MOAR" as they used to say back in the day. At least on a forum like this, the rules (along with everything else in my opinion) are laid out better than in some random reddit/discord/facebook group.
  12. I thought this was going to be an actual discussion of the SCP foundation, this is kinda cringe...
  13. Well, that would be a third. Second series ran in the early 2010s. But I feel like the well on Bionicle podcasting material has kinda run dry at this point.
  14. So will this whole new era take place in between comics 20 and 21 time wise? Or will there be new era stuff after the destruction of the rocket as well?

    ???

Hey, I guess I stumbled on this at the right day. Right now, I'm going through with my cat a lot of the same things you mentioned going through with your dog and I'm worried I might be about to lose her for good. Come to think of it, I got her right around the time I joined BZPower too. We're just voices on a silly old forum, and your status as the person who comes back and posts a blog entry every so often has long eclipsed anything I might have known you for when you were actually active in my mind, but for just a moment I was able to feel like there was someone else out there who understood me. I'd give you a hug if I could. Give yourself as many days to cry as you need. It might take longer to get over than you expect or feel is expected of you. That's okay. You may feel good for several days and then suddenly find yourself a wreck again. That's okay too. And I hope grad school is as good for you as it was for me.
  16. Loving the guest stars! Thank you for giving me a spot, I'd love to work in the maint. hall.
  17. Last few are great, they really move things forwards.
  18. Wow, great to see someone breathing some life back into the comics forum! You said you were starting by posting some old comics of yours; just how long ago were they made?
  19. Yeah I swear you used to be able to see the results after voting.
  20. Great idea for a thread. There's definitely stuff out there we don't know about yet or don't understand out there. Declaring any one particular being as real or fake is a bit harder. I used to be more into this stuff when I was in my early teens and as a young kid I was very scared by the cryptids I believed to exist in my area.
  21. I like some of what I've heard from Edge of Sanity and In Flames, so I'm trying to listen to some other melodeath.
  22. Welp, time to reflect publicly on BZP. I always like doing that. This year, I'll be trying something a little different and I'll actually be typing this up while reading my private thoughts from my journal I wrote throughout the year. Starting with something that was a theme throughout the whole year: In December of 2022, as part of a musical Secret Santa exchange, I received the song Where Are You Now by Danny L. Harle. From there, I listened to the rest of the Harlecore album, and then discovered the whole musical world revolving around the PC Music label/collective. I realized I already recognized a lot of the names from the 100 gecs remix album. This really is my kind of music. I found so many songs I loved, but one artist stood out from among the rest: GFOTY. She's quickly become one of my all time favorites and over the course of the year, I've listened to her entire discography. Unfortunately, PC Music announced that they're ending new releases on the label with the end of the year, so I'm listening to some of their stuff on the last day, even as I write this. It was a great ride, even if I only caught the tail end of it. Oh, and going back to the gecs, seeing them live was the other big musical moment for me this year. Their new album was great too. As I mentioned in my last entry, I finished college, moved out on my own, and got a job. I feel a lot more independent now. With that, I've been doing a lot more cleaning and organizing this year for a variety of reasons. I've also had more time for my hobbies though, getting a lot more lego building done and integrating myself into a local lug. I got dental implants put in at the beginning of the year. Something I had forgotten about was that this prevented me from eating my favorite food for a month. I'm actually just now getting scheduled to have the crowns put on the implants. I'm honestly tired of all this stuff going on with my teeth. I'm so ready to be done with it. Something I'm noticing is I was able to become much more social and confident over the course of the year. I even went out on a few dates! Nothing that led anywhere serious, but I'm very proud myself for handling it in a way that felt very natural. Ironically, I'm also much more comfortable being alone now than when I was in college. I think there's something about being surrounded by people that actually makes you feel more lonely sometimes. I've started playing more seriously in @Voltex's BZPGOT games this year. I've only recently started getting caught up on all the previous story there, but before I started that, I decided to read/reread all canon Bionicle story material. This, combined, with another event I'll mention later, means I did a lot more reading than has become normal for me this year. Next year I'm hoping to get caught up on the BZPGOT write ups, maybe read some other Bionicle fanfic ( @Pahrak Model ZX?) , but especially start reading some non-bionicle books aimed at adults haha. Brickfair was great as I also mentioned in the last entry! There was one thing about Brickfair I didn't mention though. At one point during the con, I got a call from my father. He met up with my cousin. I hadn't seen her in 7 years, and we hadn't been able to spend quality time with each other in even longer. He wouldn't tell me what was going on until I got back and spoke with him in person. It wasn't instantaneous for us to reconnect, but we did it. Both of us were worried the other might have somehow become a completely different person in the interim, but we get along so well. We were able to have phone calls, texts, and finally meet up in person for Thanksgiving. This has made me happier than anything else really, and I think it's been so good for both of us to have the other back in our life. I've always looked up to her, we have a lot of fond memories together, and now we're making new ones. She's someone I feel like I can talk to like no one else, and she always has such interesting things to say. So that's obviously not everything, but that's the biggest stuff. Thank you to each of you who have had even some small part in making my year so good! And a happy new year to you all! I know I already have some good things planned for it.
  23. Is this what those guys that were eating that fish grow up into? Kinda icky lookin...
  24. I am deep in the throes of the Gangnamcores right now.
