  1. To quote Jack Krauser from Resident Evil 4, "Been a long time, comrade." Last time I was on BZP was the day it crashed, and that was the last time I was inspired to draw Bionicle, until recently that is. The other night, I was suddenly inspired (at 2:30am nonetheless) to finally draw the Lhikan and the Toa Metru. While I have costume sketches for the rest of the lot, I won't post them until they are at least colored with flats. Their getups are inspired by a crossover of steam punk fashion, Thor, and their respective professions (the Toa Metru I mean).
  2. For some reason I once completed this game while I should have been studying (don't worry, I graduated). I secretly loved it.
  3. So I was doing some thinking, and I had a crazy idea. What if lego made a Bionicle TV show? I thought about it, and realized that a TV show based on the mainstream storyline would be difficult because it would clash with the movies. Then I thought what if there was a TV show about the Toa Mangai? It could be called "Defenders of Metru Nui", the protagonists would be the 11 Toa Mangai (Lhikan, Nidhiki, Tuyet, Naho, 4 unnamed toa of ice, and 3 unknown toa) the antagonists could be the Dark Hunters. The plot would be the Toa Mangai foiling various Dark Hunter attempts to take over the city. There could be a pilot arc about the founding of the team and the defeat of the Kanohi Dragon, a Tuyet betrayal arc, and the finale could be a Toa/Dark Hunter war arc. These big arcs could be seperated by shorter episode arcs that would allow some creative license to the writers, for example: various untold Dark Hunter plots, an archives breakout, possibly an origin to the metru nui tahtorak, etc. You could watch Lhikan and Nidhiki progress from being best friends to Nidhiki's betrayal attempt. There is a lot of room here for storytelling and character development, you could even have the team have some adventures on other islands like xia. There could be an episode where Nidhiki encounters Krekka and has to fight him as a toa. Do you guys think a Bionicle TV show would've been cool? Do you have any ideas of your own for a Bionicle TV show (a toa hagah show, an order of mata nui show, etc.). Any opinions on my idea for a show? Let me know what you think.

    HB Vakama

Getups are inspired by a crossover of steam punk fashion, Thor, and their respective professions. I did, however, alter the disc launcher because I wanted to not only make it possible for a human to hold properly, but also functional. Theoretically, it should now work like a crossbow. Sorry, die-hards, don't hurt me. Lhikan & Nokama
  5. I was on the Matoran Civil War page on BS01, and I noticed something about the sides. Po-Metru, Le-Metru, and Ko-Metru aligned together, while Ta-Metru, Onu-Metru, and Ga-Metru formed the other alliance. Going forward another 80,000 years or so, the Toa Metru emerge. From the outset, Onewa and Matau strongly disliked Vakama, while Nokama strongly favored him. Whenua leaned slightly towards Vakama, while Nuju leaned slightly away from him. This is exactly how the Matoran Civil War turned out, and this points to island-wide racism between the Metru, because these disagreements between the Toa started as soon as they met, which points to them being predisposed to these opinions. Thoughts on this? Other instances of this sort?
  6. Title says it all. Go forth! (Also, I think it's worth noting that nobody complained about the Bara Magna background being left out of TLR. Or the Bohrok-Kal being left out of MoL. Or the Krahka-Sidorak Tower-Tahtorak-Zivion battle being left out of WoS (okay, fine, I heard a little bit of that, but not a lot.). I don't know why the Morbuzak thing is such a stickler, but I keep on hearing that it should have been there, and that it's omission was a really bad thing.)
  7. We all know how Mata Nui was dying and the Toa Mahri saved his life. The reason we are most commonly given is that his coma led to him almost dying. This would make sense, as normal people commonly die after being in a coma for too long. However, I think there is an alternative reason why. Metru Nui is the most vital spot in the MU. Without people working in the MU, Mata Nui will die. The Toa Metru evacuated the Metru Nui Matoran to the island of Mata Nui outside of the MU because of the damage the Visorak left behind. They lived for a millenia on Mata Nui and when they return to Metru Nui, they find out that Mata Nui is dying. I think Mata Nui was dying because the Metru Nui citizens evacuated Metru Nui, and no one was working there. With no one working in the most vital spot of the MU, Mata Nui started to die. Feel free to edit my theory and note my mistakes. Thank you.
  8. Hey there everyone! I always had this question about the Metruan's Kanohi. Why are the tops or middle of their Kanohi, tainted with silver paint? The sets that came out have the Kanohi tainted in silver and in some pictures I saw a of couple other matoran from Metru Nui, share the same appearance Does this have something to do with the matoran living or working on Metru Nui? And why does the silver go away when in Mata Nui? Is it because they shrunk? Can someone please clear this up? Edit: BTW sorry if this doesnt belong here, I dont know is this is part of the storyline, or just something the sets had.
  9. <p>Well in the books about metru Nui, the mask forgersMake it so carefully a hairline crack shouldn't show!Because otherwise the power can't flow through it,But doesn't that mean if you get a crack or a scratch from battle wouldn't it be the same bad?hmmm I vaugly remember the book saying something along the lines of "the slightest flaw would render the mask powerless" which makes me think if it only applies to the mask making Process or just in general.I just got another idea thanks to Makuta matatawhen the vahi had a crack in it on the seafloor the power was flowing out changing the time around it,but not only did the vahi do it but also the ignika!that got me thinking is that what happens when making a mask and you accidentally create a dimple?would a miru with a gouge just suddenly float up to space?but even more so are the masks in the protodermis reclamation yards, do they leak power before they hit the furnace?
  10. A thousand specks of green light moved all across the screen, each representing a Matoran occupying themselves somewhere in the City of Legends. It watched all of these specks with interest, sending rapid commands to the Vahki forces all across the city. Short and curt orders were issued such as "pacify" or "neutralize" and still it watched the specks--some being pursued by other specks, these marked in red. Vahki. It paused a moment, allowing itself the respite of running only a few thousand processes. It hadn't felt this way in such a long time--it 'remembered' the formation of the Vahki. Remembered when Turaga Dume had first drafted the designs for his mechanical enforcers, and remembered the groups of Matoran who dismissed the idea entirely. "This is hardly feasible, Turaga" snorted one Onu Metru engineer. "Without a central controlling processor this plan is the stuff of dreams!" It remembered the Turaga's expression that day. Not anger or even disappointment, simply a deep, thoughtful consideration, tinged with sadness. It remembered how his aged voice cracked when he spoke next. "Our city is being overrun with crime…with disease…with violence," he said slowly. "And the Toa are too busy fighting off every creature in the surrounding area to even be bothered to care!" he shouted, his aged eyes flaring with anger. "Let me ask you, all of you," he said, flinging his arms wide to indicate the entire room, "what use is saving a city when its people are already lost?" A persistent beeping brought it out of its reverie. A new colour had appeared on the screen, this one marked in the vibrant blue of a Toa. It felt something like anger welling up in it, and before could consciously send the command, hundreds of Vahki were woken from storage and sent to deal with the interloper to its city--to the Turaga's city. It--the Matoran once known as Velun--paused a moment, studying the screen carefully inside its cocoon of technology. It remembered the damage done to it by the rogue Toa; remembered the searing agony as half its body was sheared brutally in half. Remembered the looks of shock and anguish on the faces of its compatriots, remembered the face of the Turaga. It hadn't taken much work to create: a safe point inside the coliseum where the station could be set up, and some minor 'modifications'. Granted, it hardly resembled a Matoran anymore. It hardly felt like a Matoran anymore, either. Velun was a thing of the past--and the Vahki? The Vahki were the future, its future. It and the Vahki were two sides of the same coin. As if to confirm its thoughts, a second blue dot appeared to help the first escape from the torrential wave of red that swarmed it. With a single thought, more Vahki were dispatched to take care of it. One directive carried those machines to their destination: "We are the Vahki. Surrender or Run."
  11. Well, I saw that theme, and thought "You know, I'm going to be original, and just do a Vahki chase scene." Turns out I'm one of the few that thought the same, so it's still original, although my original plan only included the Kralhi. Anyways, enjoy. FFFC #4: "Surrender or Run"On the Run Deep beneath the towering skyline of Metru Nui, echoing footsteps followed closely by the clanking sounds of metal ring through the dark labyrinth of display cases and tablets. They were the sounds of a troop of Keerahk pursuing a potential lawbreaker, who was already beginning to gasp for air. Borek ran barely ahead of the robotic enforcers, his footsteps stirring up dust like the ash of his native Ta-Metru. His task had started simply, just retriving an artifact from the Archives, but Vahki have a way of complicating things. Luckily, he had a plan to get rid of them. According to a map he had retrieved from an Onu-Metruan informant, he was now approaching a section called The Fikou's Web, a mess of tunnels so dangerous that not even Vahki would dare enter, or so the plan went. True to form, the Vahki reared up on their hind legs like startled Ussals once he crossed the boundary, their gears clicking as they reverted to their bipedal forms. Borek waved goodbye, and continued into the darkness. ---#--- "SHALL WE GIVE CHASE?" "NO, SECTOR IS MARKED AS 'FORBIDDEN.' WE MUST FIND WHERE HE IS GOING. WE WILL MEET HIM THERE." "PERHAPS WE MAY APPREHEND THE ACCOMPLICE?" "EXCELLENT. REROUTE DESTINATION POINT. GO TO LE-METRU SEA DISTRICT." "REROUTE ACCEPTED." ---#--- Borek had no time to worry about how easy that escape had seemed now. The Zakaz buyer had said to meet him at the Le-Metru Sea District with the artifact, without bothering to tell him much about it. He was pretty sure it was a Kanohi mask, and with a strange design, probably mostly blue. Either way, he had a lot of looking to do, and not much time to do it. Skakdi were notoriously bad at waiting. He finally dared to bring out his firestaff, both to light the way and to mark his path, which he did frequently and without much success. He was still getting lost among all the dusty display cases, having to brush off each one before he finally found it. The mask was large and blue, with four swept-back fins coming together at the brow, and a gaping, round mouth. He could feel power radiating off of it, but had no time to identify it, even if he was a Ta-Matoran. He brandished the firestaff, preparing to burn through the protoglass to retrive the artifact, when a metallic voice spoke from the shadows. "SURRENDER OR RUN." He raised his arms, turning off the firestaff as he did so, not that it would do any good. Vahki had impeccable night vision, and he was only hurting himself. The tunnel began to suddenly fill with light, by which he saw a clawed tail, twin blades, a visored head, and four legs. He suddenly remembered that Vahki could not speak regular Matoran. That meant it wasn't a Vahki. It was a Kralhi, the scrapped prototypes of the Vahki who were banished for being too brutal to their captives. Of which, he was about to become one. With a flash, the image of a pulsating sphere of energy launched before he could duck, and he caught the bubble on his arm, where it began to expand to encase the firestaff, his forearm, shoulder, and then began creeping towards his mask, draining the life out of him. The Ta-Matoran collapsed, fear in his eyes as the energy bubble's light revealed four spidery legs clanking their way towards him. A voice called out "Stop!" Borek looked around frantically for some help, but he couldn't see far enough into the darkness to find his possible rescuer. Then, his eyes fell on a Pakari coming out from the darkness by the Krahli."Mavrah? I thought you were dead! Get me out of here! I didn't do anything wrong!" The Onu-Matoran just laughed and shook his head. "You Matoran are all the same. Selfish. Uncaring. Unappreciative. Why should I be any different? Besides, I can't let you find me. You'd bring the Vahki down in an instant to destroy all of my work!" "No! It's not like that! Come on, Mavrah, you're not like that! What happened to Unity? Duty? Destiny? It is your duty to help me?" "Why should I? After all, this is my Kralhi." "Your what?" "They're my kindred spirits. Both of us were exiled for being too competent in our work. And I can't let you change that." He snapped his fingers, and the enforcer began it's slow crawl towards the trapped and drained Matoran. A slash of blades on armor could be heard, echoing through the tunnels, closely followed by a quick scream. ---#--- "WHERE IS THE MATORAN?" "I HAVE LOST HIS SIGNAL. HE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE COMING HERE." "WE CANNOT BE WRONG." "IT IS OF NO CONSEQUENCE IF THE MATORAN GOT AWAY. HE DIDN'T GET WHAT HE WAS LOOKING FOR. THE MASK IS SAFE, AND TURAGA DUME WILL BE PLEASED. WE HAVE FOUND THE BUYER, LET THAT BE ENOUGH." "VERY WELL. TURAGA DUME CALLS US TO REPORT. WE HAVE MUCH TO TELL HIM..." -----#----- So, probably not the best I've ever written, but at least I got it in. Hope you enjoyed!EDIT: By the way, if you haven't already, please check out my previous Short Story, A Chronicle, for the Lesovikk's Hiatus contest.
  12. Hey guys, just a review for my new epic, Lick the Sky. This is an attempt to finally get Kakaru's story straight in my own mind. For the most part I'll be making this up as I go, though I do have an idea where I want it all to lead so it won't be pointless.I'm attempting to make this as acessible and easy to read as possible, though I may skip minor details because I know my character too well. If I miss stuff that you feel would clarify things or help to understand him better please let me know. Seriously, I just noticed that I forgot to explain what his mask is.Anyways, welcome! Read, enjoy, drop a comment if you care to. I don't expect detailed reviews but constructive criticism is always welcome! [ Lick the Sky]

    Lick The Sky

A body falls through the air, caressed by millions of sparkling glass shards spinning idly in the soft breeze. Stunning crystal towers rise flawlessly to meet him and vanish overhead as his body disappears into the darkened streets. [ Chapter One: Cold Fish Sandwich ] The hum of the transport chutes across the balcony, the whirr and clank of the Vahki patrols down the street, the roar of airship engines overhead. Morning in Le-Metru again.Sunlight crept through slotted blinds, glimmering over widgets and broken masks scattered across the floor. Kakaru mumbled as the light stung his eyes and begrudgingly pulled his feet from the covers. He adjusted his green Kakama and idly kicked a gear across the room, watching it spiral in on itself. Wub wub wub wubwubwubwubwubbbbb. His cold fingers gripped the edge of the bed as he sat up and gazed around the room, letting his eyes focus. Chiseled tablets of outdated prophecies, maps of the chute systems and lists of black-market shops lined the walls in disarray. Copies of his papers from the Ga-Metru college were scattered across the table in the corner, pinned down by empty mugs and dead lightstones. He'd only failed one class last semester on Practicality versus Aesthetics in Ga-Metruian Architecture because he thought the current transport system could have been more effective and he wrote a strongly-worded thesis saying just that. The door to his left was barred by a thick metal pipe, a practice he picked up to keep the Vahki patrols from going through his room while he was away.Kakaru stood up, bracing himself against the desk to keep from falling over. He blinked several times and reluctantly opened the blinds, setting the moody room ablaze with white light. He walked to the freezer and pulled out a cold sandwich from four days ago. As he broke off a small portion to munch on he stared out the window at the chutes running large cargo crates. Huh. Large, industrial, molten protodermis spill marks, heavy soot, travelling east on chute five from the lower levels, tagged with inspection papers from Onu-Metru. That means it's most likely mining tools being sent to the forges for repairs. Nothing of value.Kakaru finished off his sandwich and snatched a paper from the wall, checking his references for the day. One functional mask of illusion with mottled yellow-black design, to be traded to a crafter in southern Ga-Metru. Mahi dung, the closer to the Coliseum the worse Vahki patrols got. That one would be hard. Next item. Three small refined protodemis obelisks, lifted from a market stall in the City of the Carvers, to be resold to a collector not two kio away by the Atrium. That one he could hit on his way out, easy.And... that was it? Kakaru shrugged. He could have sworn he managed to haul away more than that last time. Then again, he was risking a lot in the first place. There had been several threats against Turaga Dume by an unknown Matoran faction and the Vahki had doubled their efforts to find them after an actual assassination attempt during a Grand Kolhii match. Kakaru smirked when he thought about it. He had nothing against Dume, but one had to admire the guts of those guys to try taking out the Elder in broad daylight during a public event.Kakaru folded the list and tucked it under a stone tablet. He opened the front door, latched a small wire to the inside, and shut it again as he walked out, pulling the string taut. If anyone tried forcing their way in to confiscate evidence that he was a petty thief, they'd be cremated by six pounds of volatile protodermis before their hands left the knob. Maybe a little extreme, but it was better than being caught. The law was everything in this city. [ Review ]
  14. A ruined Protodermis Statue stood watch over the area. This Protodermis Goliath, slowly crumbling to the earth. Its visage unrecognizable, it's solemn watch deteriorating. Viewing this desolation and ruin was my purpose I made my way to the Vahki hive. The few Visorak ignored me, I am not their to them. Their spindly legs moving easily through the rubble of the old Vahki hive. The Vahki's decayed mechanical bodies lied limp, having been shut off on patrol. The Visorak's webs covered their bodies, allowing little room for truly recognizable parts. A single cold eye stares up at me, the Vahki's other eye completely shattered. It's silence seems consuming, rather than decaying. A group of three Visorak meander their way through the rubble and ruin. They are among the last left, the last of a migrating species, recently relieved of their rulers. A chance that should never have happened, but as they pass, they jostle a control panel. There is a slow creaking as old systems, unused in years, come back to life. There is a screech as a gear sticks, and it momentarily comes to a halt. A clunk, and the turning truly starts, the webs being pulled apart, the gears turning anew. There is clicking, and the pods around me begin to open. It takes a moment, a moment that feels longer than it is, but the eyes slowly begin to glow. A much dimmer glow than it once was, and broken by cracks and chips. A Vahki pulls itself out of its pod, its left arm falling off as it does so. All around me, the once silent guardians begin to rise. As they all slowly stand, not only here, but across the entire city, the old programs take a while to become active. The Vahki stand motionless for what seems to be many minutes, as their programs begin to activate. As they activate, their eyes lock onto the Visorak, instantly recognizing a threat, moving out in battalions to combat the perceived threat. There is clanking, and the Vahki begin their march, unable to run anymore. Missing limbs are seen anywhere. Most Vahki are limping, a few are completely unable to walk, attempting to pull themselves across the ground towards the threat that has presented itself. Some tumble over and shut off, the last of their meager existence spent. The noises begin to alert the Visorak, and suddenly, the Vahki begin to truly come to life, moving faster, rushing at the somewhat perplexed Visorak. The Visorak screech, running towards the force of Vahki, pincers clanking together. It is a slaughter. A mad slaughter. The Visorak stood no chance against a force so overwhelming. Many Vahki are also slaughtered, but they number so greatly that the numbers are almost unnoticed. I breeze through the streets, watching the carnage unfold. There were two or three misshapen, broken Vahki to every Visorak they fought. I watched a certain fight, between a Vohtarak Visorak and three Kheerahk. The Visorak threw them off, attempting to get away, but was quickly attacked by a Kranua that had shifted its body to sand underneath the Visorak. It was smashed back to the ground by the Kranua, and tackled by the three Kheerahk Vahki. This was the sort of carnage happening across the entire city. It didn't take long, only a few hours, but the Vahki had taken back the city. They stood up straight, if they could, and marched as units to their respective metrus, most limped, some made their way without their back legs, slowly following with only their forelegs. I breezed along, watching as they resumed their patrols, resuming their slow march around Metru Nui... I found my way back to my body, and ended my walk outside. But I didn't forget what I had seen, and one day, I went back. I went back, and at first, the city seemed silent, but slowly, slowly, I heard a noise. Krisssshhh. Clank. Krisssshhh. Clank. Krisssshhh. Clank. Slowly a Vahki came into view. It was dragging its leg, causing the sound I had hear. The patrol had resumed their march, and continued the job they had once had, in spite of the Matoran that they no longer had. A quiet, eternal patrol, in a ruined dream of a city.

    Virulence

I know most everyone thought that the Hordika and Visorak were a step down from 2004 both storywise and setwise and that somehow made it utter garbage, but it was actually pretty good on its own. Even if it wasn't as good as its annual ancestors, I still have a lot of positive feeling associated with it.also the word "virulence" has been stuck in my head for over a year now and it always reminds me of the essence of Makuta or the Visorak or some junk so I figured I'd make a picture befitting the wordLink to imageBe warned that the image is about 1.5 MB, 800 x 2500, for anyone with a slow connection or memory-impaired device.and yes I made this to coincide with my previous works, Imminence and Silence. One was posted here and is dead, and the other was posted in my blog and is buried.

    Nuva Nation

Hello and welcome, everyone. I apologize for the lateness, but I am finally back to start posting in my comedies again. With luck, the new chapters and reposts of Glatorian of Bara Magna: Curse of the Gray Crystal, as well as my epic Bionicle: Infinities will be posted soon. In the meantime, here is the link for the old Nuva Nation like: http://www.bzpower.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=322121&st=0&p=6808485&&do=findComment&comment=6808485It's in the old forums, so be prepared for that. And now, without further ado...Chapter 24(In the darkened interrogation room)?1: …?2: … Uh…(Suddenly the light turns on, revealing Turaga Matau sitting at his desk with Vhisola on one side, and Tahu and Takanva sitting on the other side)Turaga Matau: What? No “Wow, it’s deep-dark in here,” or “Augh! Now it’s ever-bright?”Takanuva: Well, it doesn’t really bother me that much…Tahu: Turaga Matau. What do you want?Turaga Matau: Er, *Ahem* This is Turaga Matau, Head-Chief of Infernal Affairs, conducting Interrogation session #13 for the MNCCC case, with Agent Vhisola.Vhisola: Hi there... Ash-for-brains.Turaga Matau: Takanuva, you first. We know from previous interrogation sessions that you confronted a trio of Dark Hunters lurking in the Coliseum, and you were knocked unconscious.Takanuva: Yeah, that’s right. I was helping to shepherd the attendees of the Metru Nui Comic Convention out the exits. I delegated the task over to Kopaka and Gali, and then went to the security room to see if anyone had gotten lost. I spotted three persons who I later found were Dark Hunters, and went to get them. I wound up fighting them, and they managed to defeat me. I’m not sure what happened after-Turaga Matau: Yes yes, thank you. Alright, Tahu, spill. From the start-beginning.Tahu: The beginning of what?Turaga Matau: I mean from the beginning of when you became deep-involved in this dark-crisis.Tahu: I guess it all started for me this morning. I was on call at Hero Factory. You see, I work there as a freelancer.Matau: I know, I know. Keep talking.Tahu: Well, anyway, I saw that we had a new boss…(Flashback, 12 hours ago, Hero Factory –Metru Nui Branch. In a lounge, Tahu and a few other Hero Factory robots are sitting around, when Duncan Bulk enters the room)Bulk: ‘Mornin, scrap-buckets. Name’s Bulk, and I’m the new Head of Operations here at the Metru Nui branch of Hero Factory.Tahu: Uh, sir?Bulk: What?Tahu: What happened to Stormer?Bulk: I don’t know, the brass back at Makuhero City wanted him for a mission. Some half-baked report about a witch doctor or something.Tahu: Whatever you say, boss.Tahu (Voiceover): Well, not much of anything happened for the next couple of hours, until sometime after… noon, when we received a distress call from the Coliseum.(The Hero Factory Freelancer Lounge Room, 9 hours ago. Tahu is talking to a weird looking alien with one robotic eye. The alien’s name is Chuck)Chuck: So then I just blew a hole right through him.Tahu: Wait, you killed him?Chuck: Yeah, so? He had a hostage, he was kind of asking for it.Tahu: …You can kill people as an HF freelancer?Chuck: Yeaaaah…Tahu: …:evilgrim: Sweeeet.(Suddenly, a large red claxon on the wall starts sending out an alarm noise or something)Claxon: BRAAAAAAAP! BRAAAAAAP!Chuck: That’s us! To the briefing room!Tahu: Right!(In the briefing room, Tahu, Chuck, and seven other Hero-Factory robots are being briefed by Bulk)Bulk: Alright scrap-buckets, we’ve got a message from the Coliseum. An unknown entity has infiltrated an event going on down there, and we’ve got to go in and neutralize the entity. We, Team 2, will be flown in by Herocopters-(Tahu and Chuck snicker)Bulk: -to the twentieth floor, which has a large window-covered balcony attached to it. We will then rappel in, and search for the entity. Team 1 will be flown in to the top floor and will work their way down, while we go up. We have orders to bring it in alive if reasonably possible, but to shoot to kill if necessary. Any questions?Tahu: Uh, I have a question.Bulk: Make it quick, Nuva!Tahu: What do you mean by “rappel in”?(Everyone except Tahu snickers)(Back in the interrogation room)Turaga Matau: So, you’ve never rappelled into any place before?Tahu: Nope.(Flashback, five hours ago, outside of the Coliseum, two Herocopters are flying in. One of them heads to the lower part of the Coliseum)Bulk: Okay, men. Jump!(All of the Hero Factory robots and Chuck jump, but Tahu stays on the Herocopter)Bulk (shouting up): What do you think you’re doing, Nuva? Jump!Tahu: Thanks, but no thanks!Bulk (angry): Jump, or your contract is revoked!Tahu: …Okay!(Tahu rappels into the now broken window, hitting the ground- hard. There are Matoran still being led out of the huge exhibition room where the Metru Nui Comic Con was taking place. Human visitors are being directed out of the giant portal)Tahu: Oof!Bulk: Get up, Nuva! Okay men, to the stairs! Kisinger, you take Squad 1 to floor twenty-one, Brown, you take Squad 2 to floor twenty-two. I’ll take Squad 3 to search this floor. Nuva! Chuck! You’re on Squad 2!Tahu & Chuck: Yes sir!Chuck: Say, Tahu, where’d you get that cool gun?Tahu: Oh, HF gave it to me because they said it “allowed for more efficient flame dispersal” than my swords. Funny, it looks just like Hakkan’s gun.Chuck: Huh. Okay, let’s go!Bulk: Tahu, ask the local security if they have any people on the upper floors!Tahu: Yes sir!(Suddenly, Tahu’s squad passes by Kopaka, who is directing Matoran out through the emergency exits)Kopaka: Tahu! Thank goodness you and the Hero-Factory units are here!Tahu: Yeah yeah, whatever. Have you seen Takanuva?Kopaka: He was near the site of the flash and explosions I think, but I don't see him now.Bulk: Quick! That way, people!Tahu: Gotta go, deputy. Keep Gali safe.Kopaka: Wait, Tahu...!(Tahu goes with Brown, Chuck, and the three other Hero Factory robots to the stairs)Brown: Okay, up to floor 22!(Squad 2 runs up the stairs to floor 22)(Back in the interrogation room)Turaga Matau: So for how long did you search before you ran into Master Chief?Tahu: We had just finished floors 33 through 35, when my squad found him.(Flashback, three and a half hours ago. Tahu’s squad is on floor 35)Brown: Clear!Chuck: Clear!Hero Factory Robot #1 (HFR#1): Clear!HFR#2: Clear!HFR#2: Clear!Tahu: Obvious! Er, I mean, clear!Bulk (Over walkie-talkie): Squad 2! Search floor 38!Brown: Yes sir! (To Squad 2) You heard the man! We’re going to floor 38Squad 2: Yes sir!(Squad 2 races up the stairs to floor thirty-eight. They’ve just arrived at the door to floor 38, when suddenly, someone kicks in the door from other side, revealing none other than-)HFR#2: What the heck?Master Chief: !!!(Master Chief throws a grenade at Squad 2)Tahu: (activates mask of shielding) I don’t think so!(The grenade explodes against the Kanohi Hau Nuva’s shield, which covers all of Squad 2. When the dust clears, Master Chief is gone, the door to floor thirty-eight ajar)Brown: Nice save, Nuva! (Into walkie-talkie) Bulk, this is Squad 2. We’ve found the unknown entity, and it’s Master Chief! I repeat, the unknown entity is Master Chief!Bulk (voice is slightly garbled over the walkie-talkie): Brown, have you been drinking fried oil again? (Sounds of laughter can be heard in the background)Brown: No sir, I have not been drinking fried oil. The unknown is Master Chief, in the flesh! He’s headed up from our location, or else is on floor 38Bulk: Alright Brown, we’re headed to your location. Search floor 38 and report back. (Switches channel) Team 1, this is Team 2. We’ve located the unknown on Floor thirty-eight, and get this, it’s Master Chief. … No, I have not been drinking fried oil, my boy says it’s Master Chief. … Roger that.(Meanwhile, Squad 2 is searching floor 38)Brown: Clear!HFR#1: Clear!Chuck: Not-Clear!(Squad Two runs into an empty auditorium with large plate-glass windows. Master Chief and Chuck are having a shootout, the former Halo-jumping all over the place)Brown: Set your guns for stun!Tahu: My gun doesn’t have “stun” setting!Brown: Then set if for singed, flame-brain!(Back in the interrogation room)Takanuva: Wow Tahu, sounds like it was quite a fight.Tahu: It was. Then the rest of Team 2 got to our location, Team 1 rappelled in. Master Chief was about to fight his way to the door, and I was right next to him, so I did the only thing I could think of at the moment.(Flashback, four and a half hours ago. Master Chief is about to fight his way out of the auditorium, when suddenly, Tahu jumps on him)Tahu: Gotcha!Master Chief: !!!(Suddenly, Master Chief and Tahu teleport out of the room)Bulk: Huh?Brown: What?Chuck: Holy nuts!(Back in the interrogation room)Turaga Matau: Wait, quick-pause, he teleported you out?Tahu: Well, I’m not sure it was him. He seemed pretty confused too.Vishola: Maybe he was accidentally hit with a teleportation kanoka disk.Tahu: That’s not possible. Hero Factory robots don’t carry disk launchers, and neither I nor Chuck had one. Besides, even if they did, those robots can’t aim for two cents.Vishola: Like I said, accidentally.Turaga Matau: So, what happened next?Tahu: The last thing I remember is appearing high up in the air in the part of Ta-Metru closest to the Coliseum, and then a sudden impact, after which I blacked out.Turaga Matau: Yes, you and this Master Chief character were located in that area. Master Chief was stunned by Hero Factory robots, and he is currently in our custody. I believe we’ll be questioning him next. Thank you both for your cooperation. Now, get out of here-now!Up next: Turaga Matau interrogates the one and only Master Chief! Plus, the Toa Nuva go home! Tune in in next time for… NUVA NATION!

  18. Aren't the transport chutes in Metru Nui filled with (protodermic) water? If so, how do the Matoran use them? Do they hold their breath? It doesn't seem like they could do that long enough to get anywhere.
  19. Heeeey everybody. So I've been working on this Vahki Bordakh revamp for about a week now, and honestly it's still very sketchy and 'unfinished' if you like. Having said that, I don't think I could have improved it much more given the time I've got to MOC these days... so please, PLEASE enjoy it There's so much pleading here it's almost an outright command: enjoy. ^Click for Flickr gallery^ Something interesting to note is that Bordakh's colour scheme is very much similar to F33-X2's, my self-Mech. So I guess you could call Bordakh my 'patron Vahki'? Might catch on -FtC
  20. Slipping ThroughTwo figures quietly moved through the rubble strewn streets of Le-Metru, stealthily moving in the morning shadows. They were the only movement for blocks around, but that did not mean they were the only ones present- there could have been an ambush behind any pile of rubble. The twin suns high above the city were on the rise, day beginning to break. The fighting of the war had not yet permeated the early hours of the day, but it would soon be ever-present.“I really wish you would let me come with you,” Nidhiki muttered to Naho as they ducked in a suitable hiding spot.“You know you’ll only slow me down,” she replied, softly cracking a knuckle. The Toa of Air raised an eyebrow; she might as well have fired a column of water to signal every Hunter in the district as to where the two Toa Mangai hid. But as he listened closer to the area around him, he could hear trash blowing in the early breeze, akin to Naho’s knuckle crack. The sounds were one and the same.No need to worry… for now, Nidhiki thought. “I’ve let you come with me this far, brother. And besides, you’d no sooner go diving than pet a Fikou spider,” she teased, a strained smile on her mask.“If you’re quite done,” Nidhiki snapped, the smile not returned. She knew how to push the envelope, emphasizing his anxiety with arachnids. “Let’s get the mission on the way before the day starts.” Gesturing above, where a morning blue started to appear above the buildings, he indicated the structure which they were in search for. A chute station towered stories above them, the protodermis travel system it held in place heading north in one direction, west in another. The Le-Matoran of the district called it “the Ring”, because six chute stations created its namesake in the center of Le-Metru, where other chutes branched off to other metru. The Dark Hunter’s first move when they invaded- was it only days ago?- was to seize the Ring; if they controlled the chutes, they effectively controlled the city’s shipping and public transportation. The city was at a standstill now, boarded up in their homes. Not that anyone sane would travel in this warzone anyways. As they looked above, Nidhiki prayed. The Toa Mangai had no chance of taking the Ring back themselves. Only a handful of them, and hundreds of the enemy. Hunters were perched at certain intervals in the chute, ready to fire at any Toa they saw. It was hopefully the changing of the guard, for no activity could be seen within the chutes. The chutes overhead weren’t the ones that the two Toa were concerned about. Rather, it was below that was of interest. Rumors of Metru Nui’s construction hinted at chutes running under the city to the Silver Sea, and a few reconnaissance missions executed by the other Toa Mangai found the rumors to be true. The chute Nidhiki and Naho now climbed down was the chute; Slipping through the Dark Hunter lines to this chute was the only way to let other lands beyond the sea gates know that Metru Nui was being occupied.Below the tower, the protodermis coursed downward, heading to the south of the district. This was it, Nidhiki realized, breathing with excitement. Naho stood atop the metal brace with him, prepared to jump into the current. “At least let me escort you to the end of the chute,” he insisted. “Lhikan said there’s Rahi down there, and ‘who knows what else’. Who’s to say that the ‘what else’ isn’t a group of Hunters?”Naho looked at him hard for a moment with a gaze most would identify as suspicious. He was a loyal Toa Mangai, she knew, and would cross her to a group of thieves, but his insistence could sometimes be annoying. “Alright, just to the end,” she agreed. Helping him down to the brace, she looked at him from behind the Mask of Water Breathing’s face shield, and with a nod, the two of them leapt.A chute was a whole different world. Everything moved on the current in a zero gravity state, like being suspended in a gel. It was unlike being underwater, for the Toa’s buoyancy did not bring them up to the top of the chute. They surged south, past the aquatic Rahi that nested there, and Naho smiled at him, as if to show she were right.A loud bang ahead of them snapped their alert senses on. Above their heads an energy blast flew, barely missing their Kanohi. From around the bend came a Dark Hunter with a cannon, his scope trained on his targets. Naho threw her arms up, slowing her speed, while Nidhiki unlimbered his scythe and fired bullets of air at the assassin. Naho used her power to bend the current around the Hunter, the liquid pulling the weapon from his hand. Together the two Toa formed a whirlpool encasing the Hunter that flung him through the liquid membrane of the chute. Nidhiki looked at Naho, raising his eyebrows. This time, he was right.Furiously the current pumped them through the chute, zipping through a storm of Hunters. Nidhiki slashed with his scythe heatedly, unleashing tornado upon tornado the enemy. He wanted to do more, but stunning was all there was time for- he would leave his proper impression later. Water and air powers furiously pounded the line as they fell behind, unable to catch the green and blue blurs that zoomed through.Reaching the end of the chute, Naho sped through the entrance into the silver sea. Nidhiki watched her go, hanging outside the exit to catch any stragglers that had slipped by their attacks. She never looked back, assured Nidhiki could handle more than they had faced. They were certain they would see each other again, before this war was over.Where Metru Nui was occupied by sounds of war, the surrounding sea was filled with peace. The city was a dark silhouette now, almost a dot in the distance. Light from the twin suns came down in shafts through the ocean’s surface, showing the clear abyss that lay ahead. No Rahi swam around the Toa of Water, the ocean ensuring Naho a clear path to the sea gates. The only sound was of protodermis passing through her mask, the empty ocean silvery blue around her. Her sense of duty pushed her through the water; the longer she was gone, the more chances that the Hunters had to harm her adopted city and brothers, Toa and Matoran alike. Naho cleaved through the water, her arms and legs pumping toward the sea gates. Already there was a sense of weariness in the muscles, stiff and straining, but her spirit was determined to get there, wherever there was. Metru Nui was held in the highest respects from the lands she and the other Toa called home, for the universe’s survival depended on the island city; there were no doubt sympathizers in the archipelagos outside the dome. Under her mask, her determined mind pushed away the looming feelings of panic and worry of the war as he body pushed away the sea. For the Toa, she thought, parting the water with her hands. For Turaga Dume. For the city.Yet it was her love of swimming that kept her going. Alone with the ocean, Naho felt truly one with it, reveling in the vastness that made her feel so alive. No borders restrained her, any direction she took feeling like it could be the right one. Each stroke through the ocean felt exhilarating; her mind was devoid of concern while pulling herself through the water. Part of her didn’t want to find an island, and forget about Metru Nui and the dangers waiting there, for this chase was what she was living for, then and there. The quiet of the blue world attempted to clear her mind, but she still remembered her mission, in a dark corner of her mind.Though for days Naho kicked through the water steadily, her legs wobbled as she stumbled upon the shores of an island. The excitement she’d set out with had been streamlined away, a weariness greater than gravity dragging her eyelids and limbs into the soft sand on the beach. The Turaga and Matoran that emerged from their homes almost didn’t catch the Toa of Water as she fell, exhaustion overcoming her as she used her last bit of energy to mumble her warning. “Metru Nui… the Dark Hunters…”***Slumping in her seat, Naho rested her head in her hands as she gazed out the window. Someone had graciously lent her a Mask of Strength, and she could feel the power coming back to her muscles. However, it would days before she would be ready to fight. Her eyes fixed on the water passing under the ship, Naho thought with shock the effort it had taken her to swim that distance. Easily now they cruised over the ocean, closing fast on the City of Legends. She wondered what had happened in the days that had passed since her departure, hoping that all the Toa on this ship ready for the warwould not be too late. The famous skyline of the city was silhouetted against the sunlight, bringing a smile to Naho’s worn expression. Each time she saw the city was like that first time, when she and the other Toa had come to fight the Kanohi dragon. There was something indescribable in the nobility of the landscape that surrounded the Coliseum; it captured the mind of the viewer, as it was now to the Toa approaching the window. As when the Toa Mangai first entered the city to uphold that image, many more Toa were following the footsteps of their brothers, prepared to lay down their masks, so after this conflict the Dark Hunters would never set foot in Metru Nui again.

  22. After a day spent chasing Tava away from all of the pies, I finally found time to get back to BZPower! As promised, here's the first new installment in quite some time of the Lewa# Studios Holiday Series. This is the "sequel" of sorts to the original Thanksgiving special, which has sadly been lost to the archives. Enjoy, and Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Another Metru Nui Thanksgiving Part of the Lewa# Studios Holiday Series Chapter 1 of 1: Turaga Always Have Terrible Ideas A year had passed since the disastrous attempt by Turaga Dume to have the population of Metru Nui celebrate Thanksgiving. Dume, along with the other six Turaga (and the ghost of Turaga Lhikan for some random reason), were sitting around Vakama's firestaff warming themselves in the Turaga Lounge on the top floor of the Coliseum. Vakama was ironing his dentures as usual, and the others were sharing long-winded, pointless stories about the past. "And then, after the mines collapsed," Whenua was reminiscing, "we had to dig our way out both ways, uphill, through seven feet of snow! Wouldn't you know it, a Rahi was sitting on my head the entire time too! Then, we..." Whenua trailed off and fell asleep with a snore. The others looked at each other blankly. "Well, now what?" asked Nokama. "Oh, come off it! We have plenty to do today!" Dume told the others. "You young whippersnappers don't understand the importance of things in this day and age! Why, when I was your age..." "Who are you calling 'young?'" asked Onewa. "And today is just like every other day, except that I'm here, since being dead has been so boring lately," Turaga Lhikan's ghost said. "What do you possibly mean, Dume?" "I mean that one year ago today, I declared a new holiday on Metru Nui: Thanksgiving!" " " emoticonned all of the other Turaga except for Whenua, who was still asleep. "The last thing any of us want to remember is that catastrophe of a day," Matau put in. "Now, my idea of declaring June 17th International Matau Day was much better!" Nokama bopped him over the head with her trident. Dume shook his head. "It was only a catastrophe because of Takanuva. Not to mention hosting it in the Coliseum with the entire population of Metru Nui was probably a bad idea. This time, I plan to invite only select guests, and I've already booked Thanksgiving dinner at a very recommended location!" "Where, Dume?" asked Lhikan's ghost. "This hotel near the Moto-Hub. What was it called again? 'The Noto Inn?' No...'The Natu Inn?'" "It wasn't The Nuva Inn, was it?" asked Onewa. "Yes, that's it! The Nuva Inn! Lewa Nuva highly recommended it to me!" All of the other Turaga groaned. "This is just another disaster waiting to happen," muttered Nokama. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Toa Mahri Jaller was busily pacing back and forth in front of the entrance to Ta-Metru when Turaga Vakama walked toward him. "Halt!" Jaller demanded. "I need to see your identification." "You don't need to see my identification," said Vakama kenobishly, waving his firestaff in front of Jaller. "What are you, a Jedi? And 'Kenobishly' isn't a word!" "It was worth a try, I suppose. Anyway, I've been trying to find you everywhere, Jaller! What are you doing pacing back and forth in front of this random entrance for absolutely no reason?" Jaller shrugged. "Guarding," he responded. "Although, admittedly, there isn't much to guard here. It's not as if we get random Rahi attacks periodically here in Metru Nui like we did in Mata Nui..." "Have you ever thought about taking up another profession?" "Like what?" "Like...erm...oh, never mind. I came here to give you this note from Turaga Dume." Vakama handed Jaller the rather large tablet. Jaller read the inscription. "An invite to another Thanksgiving feast? Why in Mata Nui's name would I want to go to another one of those? Remember how well the last one went?" Vakama sighed. "Unfortunately, I do remember, all too well. Regardless, Dume's only inviting a select group of people, so you really ought to attend." With that, Vakama shuffled away somewhere. Jaller looked over the tablet again, pondering his decision. "Might as well bring Hahli, then," he eventually said to Himself. "At least with her around things will be a little more enjoyable." "Why are you telling me this?" wondered Himself, a random Ta-Matoran with a weird name who was walking nearby. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Krekka, having inexplicably forgotten to die in Legends of Metru Nui due to his sheer stupidity, was wandering Po-Metru, wearing turnips on his head. Turaga Lhikan's ghost materialized in front of him. "Krekka, as much as I don't want to say this, Dume wanted me to invite you to--" "AAAAH! A GHOST!! MOMMY!!" screamed Krekka, throwing all of the turnips at Lhikan and running as fast as he could away from the ghost. Then he ran smack into a sculpture and fell flat on his back. Lhikan drifted over to him. "Just take this and show up for Dume's Thanksgiving celebration, okay?" He dumped a huge tablet on Krekka's head, then floated away. "Of all the people, I had to get stuck inviting him," he muttered. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Turaga Dume entered The Nuva Inn with several of his invitation tablets. "Hello, Toa Nuva," he announced. "I'm here to invite you to--" "Yeah, yeah, we already know," grumbled Lewa. "You already came here to book the reservation!" "Yes, but I'm here to invite you as guests!" Lewa shook his head. "If we're the guests, then who's going to run the place while we're celebrating Thanksgiving? Besides, I remember how well your last attempt went. I have absolutely no desire to celebrate that holiday again." Dume sighed. "Very well." He then checked his invite list. "Oh well, off to invite the Running Jokes to join me!" He then left the Inn. "That was completely pointless, wasn't it?" asked Kopaka. "No," replied Takanuva. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Nuju sat down in front of a computer set up in one of the Knowledge Towers. "Beep bewoop boop bizeet," he muttered to himself as he started the computer. "Beepity buzz zip weird sound click twirr!" Nuju then opened the Internet and logged in to BZPower, where he posted his 'translation' of Dume's invite: "Beep click, buzzap whirr boop frwee! Click clack whirrity beep weird sound twirr click! Boop beep bizz boop whirr. Whistle click." Satisfied, Nuju posted the topic and waited for a while. After about twenty minutes, he refreshed the General Discussion forum and looked at the single reply he had gotten: "IceRahiSpeaker, this post is completely made up of nonsensical gibberish. At BZPower, such a post is considered SPAM. Please refrain from doing this in the future. Topic Closed." " " Nuju emoticonned. "BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPP!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Several days later, Dume had finally gathered all of the guests in the restaurant area of The Nuva Inn, which had been specially reserved for that day. Instead of sending the Toa Nuva on quests to obtain all of the food, he had instead gotten it catered there from some random place. At the insistence of the other Turaga, he had also hired Avak to stand guard should Takanuva go insane again, but luckily, thanks to a strange incident with a Vahi, Takanuva had remained normal since shortly after the previous year's celebration. Everyone sat down to eat. "Hey! It isn't time to eat yet!" exclaimed Random Matoran #35, and Everyone hurriedly stood up. "Sorry," murmured Everyone. "He wasn't even invited this year! Get out!" Dume pointed out. "Somebody get rid of him." "It'll be a pleasure!" Onua Nuva said, quoting his line from Mask of Light, as he lifted Everyone up and tossed him out the window. "Much better, thank you," Dume said. "Anyway, speaking of thanks, I'd like to welcome all of you to the Second Annual Metru Nui Thanksgiving Feast! This year is going to be a bit smaller than last time, due to the minor difficulties that we had last year--" "Understatement of the millennium," muttered Turaga Matau. "--Right, anyway, welcome all! I'd like to thank Mata Nui, for existing, you, for coming here, the Toa Nuva, for hosting us in their restaurant/inn, and Lewa0111, for typing this comedy." " " the rest of the guests emoticonned. Dume shook his head. "Never mind. Now that I've said what I'm thankful for, let's sit down and eat!" All of the guests sat down at the rather large table. "Duuuuuuuuuuuhh...now what?" asked Krekka, staring stupidly at his empty plate. The rest of the table collectively facepalmed. Luckily for their continued sanity at having to deal with Krekka, the Toa Nuva entered with plates full of Thanksgiving foods, such as roast Gukko, Bula Berry sauce, mashed potatoes (discovered in Hydraxon's lair the previous year), and, naturally, pies. In fact, everything was a pie, including the aforementioned non-pie items. In addition, there were exactly 3.14 plates of everything. "Well, this is strange," muttered Turaga Nokama. "Who's in charge of cooking these things, anyway?" "BURN STUFF!!" came a shout from the general direction of the kitchen, followed by a huge waterfall drenching everything in the vicinity. A shout of "PIE!" followed shortly after. Then, the kitchen door burst open, followed by a sopping wet Tahu, a smiling Gali, and an ecstatic Tava. Tava then pulled out a gigantic stack of even more pies and tossed them onto the table. There were pies of every imaginable type: pumpkin pies, apple pies, bula pies, Thornax pies, Oreo pies, fishlightstonestatue pies, pie pies, pi pies, Everything Pies, and Tahu's specialty, Fire Pies. "All right, let's leap! said Turga Udem, taking a book of his food and wallowing it. " " he emoticonned. The Rahkshi of Letter Control simply burst out laughing and changed all of the pies on the table to IEs. Tava, however, was undaunted, and simply baked all of the IEs into an Internet Explorer Pie, which he then served to the RLC. He then ran back into the kitchen to bake even more pies. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At last, all of the assembled beings had finally gotten around to actually eating. The problem of how to eat with Kanohi masks on was solved by the guests alternating taking their masks off, passing out, and having others feed them food then putting the masks back on to revive them. The guests all took turns doing this, and though it resulted in quite a few falling Matoran, broken chairs, and general messiness, all agreed that it had been a step up from the previous year's celebration. "I'm stuffed," groaned Jaller. "Then don't eat any more, silly!" replied Hahli, sitting next to him. The reason they hadn't been mentioned at all until now was because they were too busy being romantic. "Duuuuuuuuuuuhhhh...where's the cauliflower pie?" asked Krekka, despite the fact that he actually didn't even like cauliflower. "Anybody want more pie?" asked Tava, walking out of the kitchen with a gigantic stack of 9,321 pies of various flavors. "I've got fresh-baked ones right here!" The entire table shook its head. "What, no pies for you, table?" "You can't even talk!" Turaga Vakama protested to the table. "Oh, right," the table observed. " " it emoticonned. Tava just smiled. "Oh, well! I guess that just means more for me!" With a , he ate the entire stack of pies in one bite. Then he proceeded to eat everyone else's leftovers, as wellllllllllllllllll, including the Rahkshi of Letter Control's. " " Turaga Vakama emoticonned. "Well, that explains why he's wider than he is tall..." "I wish I could eat," mused Lhikan's ghost as he drifted around the room. "I've always wanted to taste pie." "PIE! I made a Ghost Pie!" exclaimed Tava, holding up a blue, glowing pie and pieing Lhikan's ghost in the face with it. Lhikan pulled the pie off of his face and ate it. To his surprise, this actually worked. "Cool! " he said excitedly. "I can eat something again!" "Hey, that's my line! I have it copyrighted!" shouted an angry Turaga Matau, chasing Lhikan with his staff. "And I have copyrights copyrighted!" Keetongu rose from his seat, accidentally knocking over the entire table to chase after Matau, who was chasing after Lhikan. Matau finally caught up to Lhikan, but passed right through him owing to Lhikan being a ghost, and fell flat on his face. Keetongu then started beating Matau up for stealing his copyrighted copyrights. " " emoticonned the rest of the guests and TNI's staff. Dume shook his head. "Why can't Metru Nui learn to celebrate Thanksgiving normally?" "The world may never know," answered Random Matoran #35. THE END ~Lewa# Studios Lewa0111 Nuva
  23. Welcome to my ripped off mashed up story! Please note that respective characters, phrases, locations and all other related nouns are the properties of their respective owners. This story is rated PG, and contains mild, Bionicle related violence. I will be updating the story once a day (Oct. 15-21, 2011) for the first six days (as those chapters have already been written) and then about once a week afterwords. Please read and review and enjoy the story! Fire Versus Ice The Whisper Canyon Chronicles A Combination Fan Fiction By Ignacis Chapter One Why Are We Here? Metru Nui was no stranger to civil war. It had been a few years after the Great Matoran civil war, but tensions were still high among the Matoran of the Great City. So when Makuta Teridax, their new leader, told the Ta-Matoran of the Ko-Matoran’s plot to gain back lost territory during the war near their mines in Onu-Metru, it was only a matter of time before new sides were drawn, and the Matoran were back on the front lines. Now they were divided into the two main elements of fire and ice. This stemmed from the two original groups that started the war, but not all of the Matoran were ready for another full scale, intercity conflict. Some stayed neutral, while others became arms for hire. Still more betrayed their Metru’s to fight for whom they thought were the true victims in the situation. But of all the stories, the battles, and all the platoons in the two Matoran armies, one set of warring factions in particular became the most intriguing, and influential in all the war. Their battle was for a simple canyon, which contained only two bases. The Fire army of Ta, Po and Onu-Metru built one, and another was constructed for the Ice army of Ko, Le and Ga-Metru. This site would become known as the Canyon of Unending Whispers. The conflict would go down in history as the Whisper Canyon Chronicles. These are those soldiers’ stories. * * * It was four months after the start of the Second Matoran Civil War. Jala was standing guard on top of the local Fire Army’s base with his partner Nuhrii. Jala wore yellow armor, with a replica of a great Hau on his face. Nuhrii was maroon color from his feet to his Noble Ruru replica Kanohi. The air was dry, the sun was scorching, and above all, Jala was stuck with Nuhrii, who was about biggest suck up in the entire war. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Nuhrii spoke to him.“Hey,” he said, turning to face Jala.“Yeah?” he replied.“You ever wonder why we’re here?”“That’s one of life’s great mysterious, isn’t it? Why are we here? I mean, are we the product of some cosmic coincidence, or is there really a Great Spirit and Great Beings, watching everything, you know? With a plan for us and stuff? I don't know brother, but it keeps me up at night.”“What? I mean why are we out here? In this canyon?“Oh! Uh…yeah…” said Jala, trying to sound like he knew what Nuhrii had been talking about all along.“And what was all that stuff about Mata Nui?”“Ah, nothing.”“Do you want to talk about it?”“No.”“You sure?”“Yeah.”“Seriously though, why are we here? As far as I can tell, this is just a semi-boxed in canyon in the middle of Po-Metru with only two ways in or out, and that’s behind our bases. And the only reason we have Fire base here, is because they have an Ice base there, and the only reason they have a Ice base there, is because we have an Fire base here.”“That’s because we’re fighting each other, Akilini-Head,” said Jala. He was starting to get annoyed already.“But still, if we were to pull out today, and they were to come in here and take our base, they would have two bases in the middle of a semi-boxed in canyon. Whooptidoo.”“What’s up with that any way? I signed up to fight some wild Rahi and crazy Po-Matoran, but next thing I know, Makuta Teridax comes in a kills everything and everyone, and I am stuck here fighting a bunch of blue, green and white guys over some stupid plot of land. Talk about a waste of resources. I mean, we should be finding new and dangerous forms of Rahi and fight them.”“You’re right. That’s why they should put us in charge,” said Nuhrii. * * * It was a hot, summer's day in Po-Metru and the Ice Army was spying on the Fire army. The Ice Army had set up their base first, but by the next day, the Fire army was there, with a fully operation base and a platoon of soldiers ready to fight them. Because they were under direct orders not to attack unless attacked, the Ice army spent most of their days scouting. A light blue, Great Pakari replica wearing Matoran named Takua, (who had transferred over to being a Ko-Matoran because he felt sympathetic with the them and had even undergone reconstruction to become various shades of light blue, to match the Ice army's general color scheme) was scouting with a Le-Matoran named Kongu, who wore a teal Kanohi Great Miru replica. The two had perched themselves on the ledge and Takua was using his upgraded disk launcher to spy on them while Kongu acted as a look out.“What are they doing?’ he asked suddenly.“What?” asked Takua in disbelief of what he was hearing.“I said, ‘What are they doing now?’”“Mata Nui curse you! I am getting so sick of answering that question!”“Hey you got the sniper launcher! I can't see Rahi droppings! Don't sit and yell at me because I am not going to sit up here and clean my Kanohi all day!”“Okay look; they are just standing there and talking, okay? That’s all they’re doing. That’s all they ever do is just stand there and talk. That’s what they were doing last week. That’s what they were doing when you asked me five minutes ago. So five minutes from now, when you ask me, ‘What are they doing?’ my answer is going to be they are still just talking and they are still just standing there.”Kongu paused and look around for signs of incoming enemies, but seeing nothing return to their conversation. “Well what are they talking about?”“You know what? I hate you.” Returning to his view through his disk launchers scope, he could see something different now. A third Matoran, this one in all red and wearing a specially designed Kanohi approached them. Well what do you know? Thing may finally get interesting around here after all.
