  1. Here are six revamps/tributes for the Piraka Hakann, Avak and Vezok, and the Toa Inika Kongu, Nuparu and Matoro! Had lots of fun, and heaps of nostalgia, reading through those ancient Bionicle texts then figuring out how I could make the most faithful revamp/tribute for each character. Which one of these is your favourite? Check out my Flickr for quotes, flavour text and design write-ups, and my Instagram and Twitter for more photos!
  2. Back in 2006, I caught a Bulgarian commercial of the Piraka/Inika Nestle toys on the air. I recorded it, had another member put some English subtitles on it and it made the BZP news. Just today, I stumbled upon a very similar video (in English) that appears to have been produced by the exact same studio, albeit for some slightly different Piraka/Inika Nestle toys. Perhaps someone from BMP may be interested in contacting them to see if they have a better quality version of the first video still saved somewhere? @JrMasterModelBuilder?
  3. This has been on my mind to do for a few weeks, finally got some time to realise them: I know many don't like the Inika much, but I was young enough to enjoy the change of direction without thinking too much when they came out, so I have a soft spot for them, even the new colour schemes they brought. But I wanted to see what they'd look like with their respective original colours, and in Hahli's case a (attempted) translucent mask. What do you think? Toa Jaller # Toa Kongu Toa Hahlii Toa Hewkii Toa Matoro Toa Nuparu
  4. Hi there, I am looking to sell 2 Inika Bionicles that are unopened and still in perfect condition The two bionicles are: Bionicle Inika Toa Hewkii (8730) Bionicle Inika Toa Jaller (8727) Ideally i would prefer to sell both as a package, but am open to selling individually as well shoot me a message, can defiantly provide photos for those intereste, just cant figure out how to add them to this forum !
  5. Hey Bionicle fans I am selling my Bionicle sets. I am from Lithuania (Europe). So if You are interested, please message me I am open for great deals. By the way, I am new to BZPower and I have a question- how to add image to Your post ( I want to add Bionicle images) ? ;D I see there is buttom for image but then it requires url, is there any way to simply insert image to this post? Or maybe I can add pictures to my gallery or something? sorry for the stupid question Bionicles for sale: Vezon & Fenrakk set 8764 (all pieces included, no box & manual) - 55 $ ( + shipping); Inika: 8727- Toa Jaller (All pieces, instructions included, box/package included, though box itself has lost some colors) - 16 $ ( + shipping); 8729- Toa Nuparu (All pieces, instructions included, box/package included. There is a little crack on the end of the piece that connects hand and arm, the grey one, however it still holds the hand perfectly and sturdy. There is also one yellow ball missing) - 15 $ ( + shipping); 8730- Toa Hewkii (All pieces, instructions included, box/package included) - 16 $ ( + shipping); 8731- Toa Kongu (All pieces, instructions included, box/package included) - 16 $ ( + shipping); I am also selling Lego Hero Factory Von Nebula set. I know, this set is not Bionicle, it's Hero Factory, however I have seen very talented MOC creators here on forum, and Von Nebula has really nice pieces, both new and re-colored, so I think this set is superb material especially for MOC creators Von Nebula price (All pieces included, manual included, no box) - 32 $ (+ shipping);I have much more Bionicles to sell, I will be adding them in the following days to this post. Have a nice day!
  6. This has been bother me for a while. Toa teams are usually named after their island, right? There are some exceptions (Toa Nuva and Toa Hordika) but those names pertain to their upgrades, and otherwise they would have the same name because they were still on the same island. So why weren't the Inika the Toa Voya?
  7. Hey! Has anyone ever wondered why the Inika had "organic" Kanohi? When I first found out they did, I was hoping there was some connection to the Krana, and we would find out the "big secret" about the bohrok through the Inika's masks. I can't say there is no connection, but it was never really answered why their Kanohi were organic. Are Iden, Suletu, and Calix Kanohi just organic by nature? I don't think so - Krakua had a Suletu, and his was just normal. Are there any other characters who have organic kanohi? Does the Red Star have some connection to the Bahrag and the Krana, or perhaps the Bohrok or Bohrok-Kal? I think there might be- see, the Bohrok are "undead"(?) matron, and the Red Star deals with the death/rebirth of Bionicle characters- maybe there is some connection- Did the lightning contain protodermic energies, or perhaps the same energies that turned Bohrok into Bohrok Kal? What else do you guys know about Organic masks, Inika, and the Red Star?

    Deignition

So, this is a fanfic based on a (rather flawed) theory I made a couple weeks ago, about the Toa Inika being dead and "revived" using the souls of other dead beings from the Red Star. Soon after posting the theory, a fellow BZP member, Ghidora131, said that it would make a good fanfic. So, I PMed him and we started planning. What we came up with makes one of the darkest years of Bionicle even darker, and the ending will leave you questioning your very existence. We've changed events prior to 2006 as well, such as the deaths of characters that did not die in canon. So, without further rambling, here's what you came for. Discussion Topic Deignition A fan-made story written by BZP members Arzaki and Ghidora131. Okay yeah, so this chapter was absolutely god-awful and I hate myself for writing. I know that literally no one is ever going to see this, but just in case someone ever does, they'll know just how absolutely terrible this is and they don't have to waste their time reading it. Trust me, it's terrible. Ghidora and I might continue back on this soon. Maybe. Hopefully I put more effort into the chapters that I write, because wow, this one was so terrible. I really should just nuke this epic. Just clean it off the face of the earth. Chapter 1 A Bit of Exposition Takanuva was lost in thought as he led the Matoran to their destination. Of course, not much thought really remained in his mind. He had lost some of his sanity during his adventures around Mata Nui. He had seen almost half of Po-Koro wiped out by the plague, and witnessed the destruction of Ga-Koro firsthand. The main causes of his slight insanity were watching Jaller die and himself going through the experience of being fused with another being. Despite being a bit off his rocker, Takanuva was still relatively competent, and knew that he needed to the protect the six Matoran he was escorting. Jaller, the leader of this group, picked the bravest Matoran he knew for this mission. These five brave Matoran were Kongu, Hahli, Nuparu, Hewkii, and Matoro. Hewkii and Hahli weren’t at the peak of their strength, but they were still bold. Hewkii was severely weakened and slightly senile due to contracting the plague of Po-Koro and witnessing most of this closest and life-long friends drop dead in front of him. Despite overcoming the sickness, his body never really got over its effects, and he still feels terrible for being too weak to help Ga-Koro during the Bohrok invasion. He blames himself for the destruction of the village and for the extreme injuries Maku took during it. Hahli, too, was scarred by the destruction of Ga-Koro. Other than being injured herself, she saw Maku get nearly killed by debris. Due to the terrible things that happened in her life, she lost faith in Mata Nui, and blames him for all that has happened. When she heard that he was dying, she was almost glad. However, she could not refuse Jaller’s invitation to this mission. He was one of the few friends she had left. After a while of walking, the group of seven came across a tunnel, which absorbed all waves of light and sound. The group tied their hands to each other to prevent getting lost, and made their way through the tunnel with little commotion. Matoro, however, thought he felt another being with him, and helped this being escape the tunnel with him. He exited last, and when he looked back into the tunnel after making sure everyone else was there, he saw no one. It was at this point that Matoro started to that he might have been going insane, or maybe he was hallucinating due to the lack of senses. After a few more minutes of travelling, the group came across an old gateway, made of some sort of gray stone. On the other side was a lonely looking Matoran, who ran away upon seeing the group. Everyone chased after him, but a barrier of some strange substance materialized in front of Takanuva just as he was about to go through the gate. He and the Matoran were separated, and it didn’t take rocket science to figure that one out. After attempting to bid farewell through some sort of wall, Takanuva reluctantly headed back through the tunnel to his home of Metru Nui. The rest of the group resumed their chase. The startled Matoran led them to a land known as Karzahni. The land where dust rises, fire is cold, and ice burns. Dangerous Rahi ran rampant, and all around were strange looking Matoran who appeared absolutely miserable and lonely. Soon after they entered, they were approaching by the ruler of this land, also named Karzahni, who captured them and took their masks, replacing them with strange new ones. He forced them to work in the furnaces and forges of the land, but kept Hahli so that she could tell him of the outside world. Hours of work and hard labor led to exhaustion for the other five Matoran, and it was a relief when an obviously senile Matoran approached them. He told them to follow him and gather any friends they had. While Kongu went looking for Hahli, the other four followed the clearly insane Matoran to a room that had sort of strange cannon-esque devices overlooking an ocean. The odd Matoran told the other four to enter the canisters mounted on the walls, so that he could bust them out of there. Before they could manage to enter the canisters, Kongu and Hahli sprinted into the room, very out of breath. Seconds later, the thundering footsteps of Karzahni could be heard before the entire wall came down in an explosion of flame and stone. One stone hit Hewkii directly in the head, knocking him out cold. Oh, the irony. As Karzahni stepped over the small remaining part of the wall, his foot landed directly on Kongu, crushing and killing him. He switched his attention to Hahli, the closest living Matoran, and struck her with his flaming chains. She died soon after due to impact. Laughing maniacally, Karzahni continued to whip his chains throughout the room, eventually killing every Matoran in there. He stuffed the dead bodies in the canisters to dispose of them, and launched them using the cannons in the room. He watched as they flew through the air, toward the area known as Voya Nui. He used his Kanohi Olisi, the Great Mask of Alternate Futures, to see what might happen to the canisters. What he saw surprised him greatly. He saw the canisters washing ashore Voya Nui, with bodies larger than those he placed in them emerging from the cylindrical vehicles. They were cackling with crimson colored electricity, the likes he had never seen before. Weapons had somehow materialized with them, and the six beings crossed said weapons above them. A magnificent beam of light shot forth from the point where the tools crossed, straight into the air, parting the clouds as it pierced them. The storm was coming, and it wouldn't stop for anything.
  9. I'm trying to find a Bionicle music video with the song move along. However its a very specific version that at 2;38 the official Inika commercial plays along with the commercials audio. It was spliced perfectly into the song. But for one reason or another I can't find it on Youtube looking through the multiple Bionicle move along videos. Anyone know where I could find the video again? Please move if in wrong spot.
  10. Back in 2006 when I was ten years old, it wasn't that long ago I had finally got to see Mask of Light. Which is the first bonkle film, about the search for the seventh Toa, Takanuva, Toa of Light and later Shadow but then just Light again. How the Avohkii transformed Takua into Takanuva stuck with me. So when 2006 rolled around and the Mask of Life was a thing the Piraka were searching for, as were the Toa Inika, I did the thing that seemed logical at the time: I thought that one of the Voya Nui Matoran would find the Mask of Life, put it on, and become VEZON, PIRAKA OF LIFE. I was thinking that it'd totally be Piruk because I liked green sets the best at the time. Then, of course, it didn't happen like that and I got upset because I wanted to know where Vezon came from. WHO WAS HE AND WHAT MATORAN WAS HE?!?!? I clearly didn't understand what Skakdi were. Then it was revealed Vezon was part of Vezok once, so I thought that when Vezok put on the mask of life, he and Vezon would become one. Then 2007 happened and the Ignika decided it wanted to go diving. I was thinking that Dekar would put on the mask and become... HYDRAXILOS AND SPINOCTUNKA. No, not really. I did briefly wonder at the time why there wasn't a Gadunka + Hydraxon + Maxilos combiner like there had been with that kind of set for the past three years. Also, here's a little blast from the past for some of you: Remember when people were theorising that Toa Ignika was Matoro?
  11. THE TOA INIKA: THE STORY NOBODY (BUT THEM) SAW All of the newly-minted Toa Inika had a headache. 'Least, it felt like it. Ever so recently, they had been matoran. But then were struck by lightning, which somehow was from the Red Star. Being struck by lightning also tends to hurt quite a bit! It was kind of rude of the Red Star if we're going to be honest about it: these Matoran had just arrived from a long journey, and then they were disrespectfully struck by the Red Star's lightning! Yet that was not the worst part of it all, neither were the headaches that bad. You see, we're in a nightmare here. Well, it's real, but at least it feels like it's out of a nightmare! Don't judge me. Jaller's head felt like it had gone on an adventure through Metru Nui's industrial districts on the worst days possible. It just simply wouldn't stop pounding. Pound. Pound. Pound. Pound. Great British Pound. It pounded so bad it almost felt as if it were creating currency inside his head. Obviously, that's illegal, but that was not the worst of Jaller's issues. It was the second worst, because he could be arrested for it. His mind felt like it had an intruder within it. There were some thoughts that felt as if they were not his own. But surely that wasn't possible? There was nobody but the other newly-minted Toa Inika around. He briefly considered eating them as they had been minted, but he quickly realised it wasn't that kind of mint. Of course, he soon realised where the thoughts were coming from. Hey Jallah, is that yer name?I guess so, it says so here in your memahry. Says ye were simply Jala once too, but had to stop for out of univehse reasons. I know why! Lawsuit probably. Do you want anothah lawsuit? I can get you into anothah by calling yah Jala! It is yah fate! I know this, for I am thah KAHNOHI CAHLIX, MASK OF FATE! I CAN SEE THAH FUTURE! Jaller was very taken aback by this. This appeared to have been his MASK talking to him via projecting its own thoughts into his mind. Surely he was going crazy? Wait, no. He wasn't. The Calix squelched around on his face, as if to try to and move itself to get a better view of Jaller's body. His mask had just tried to move. He really had to ask to ask the other Toa if their masks were alive. So Jallah, which I know isn't yah real name, it seems you like that Hahli Toa... Please don't rummage through my mind, thanks. "Hahli, Hewkii, Kongu, Matoro, Nuparu, are you all okay? I have a confession to make: my mask is alive and talking to me in my head. Is this happening to anyone else or am I insane?" The other Toa Inika nodded slowly and turned to each other, making eye contact uncomfortable several times as they slowly realised that what Jaller said was true: their masks were in fact alive. And they had personalities of their own. Rather obnoxious personalities, if I so say myself. Especially the Sanok. Hewkii got up to tell everyone about it, even though nobody wanted to know about it. "Jaller, I have a problem." "What is it?" "My mask won't stop yelling obscenities at me." YOU KARZAHNI-LOVING EARTH-SHOVELLING HARDFACE-SYMPATHIZING NO GOOD MUAKA DIGESTIVE TRACT WRAPPED AROUND A MANAS WITH A DEFECTIVE CLAW-LOOKING TARAKAVA-RESEMBLING FAILURE OF A TOA AND A MATORAN, A MATORAN THAT COULDN'T EVEN KICK A KOLHII BALL RIGHT DESPITE HIS FOOT BEING AS OBNOXIOUS AND LARGE AS A NUI-JAGA'S STINGER IF IT WAS LESS UGLY THAN YOUR FORMER HARDFACED-FACE. YOU'RE A - We really need to stop looking into Hewkii's mind for what the Sanok says. It's not appropriate for this website. Maybe later, if it calms down. (Here's the spoilery spoiler of spoiliness: it won't.) "That's ridiculous, Hewkii. Our masks may be alive and slightly obnoxious, but they're just trying to talk to us and befriend us... I'm hoping." All five of the other Toa Inika turned to Jaller and were not amused. Especially not Hewkii. The masks were definitely not trying to befriend them at all. "My mask's a mask of accuracy, the Kanohi Sanok. It can't do anything with me but constantly yell at me. Look at... Matoro's lifeless body over there!" EARLIER So, you're matora huh? Matoro, and correct. I can show you the world, Matorki! We can be a spooky ghost and haunt those other guys you probably hate! From above, from below, from through the walls, even from within them! Wait. What are you doing? "Help-" Matoro did not finish his cry for help as his mask, the Kanohi Iden, Mask of Astral Projection, lifted his spirit out of his body, leaving it to slump lifelessly on the ground as the Iden took him on the journey of his lifetime. Which would sadly be cut short, you know. The Kanohi Ignika just had to go and choose Matoro, didn't it? How little respect for life from the Mask of Life. That sounds ironic, but I'm not well versed in Irony. Maybe there's a mask of irony out there that can help one such as myself understand. Isn't this fun, Matolpin? We're seeing so much! The mountains, the caves below the surface, the creatures in the water, the spoiler for next year that is Mahri-Nui... ooh, this is interesting! What HAS this guy been eating? NO I DON'T WANT TO SEE INSIDE JALLER'S STOMACH AND MY NAME IS MATORO! TAKE ME BACK TO MY BODY TAKE ME BACK TO MY BODY TAKE ME BACK TO MY BODY I HATE ASTRAL PROJECTION! You're such a downer, Maroto. MATORO!! Matoro struggled with the Iden for the rest of the day. It was not until Kongu and Nuparu located his spirit viewing the 'splendid wondrous wonders' of what it was like to be inside a Muaka that they would return his spirit to the body. LATER AGAIN, BUT WE DIDN'T NEED TO GO TO THE LATER POINT, WE ARRIVED AT THE POINT FROM EARLIER Hahli had a headache. But unlike as with the others, it hadn't stopped. Worse, it was seemingly caused by her very mask. Which was alive, and had FEELINGS and EMOTIONS, so she couldn't tell it stop for fear of making it go on an angry rant about 'Hardfaces' and how 'squishiness is superior'. But against all advice, she told it to stop. Please stop causing headaches. What?! How dare you, you ungrateful Toa. I am YOUR MASK and I am responsible for your powers. I can do AS I PLEASE. I am the mask here, you are the Toa. I have my own feelings and emotions! You owe your mask power to me. If you dare ask again I WILL increase the severity of your headaches. Ungrateful little Toa. What's the matter anyway? Do you miss your old inferior hardfaced self? Bah. Squishiness is better. We have feelings and emotions. Krana are our long-lost brethren, also being squishy and having their own LIVES away from you disgusting Toa and Bohrok. But NOOOOO, we're not allowed to squelch ourselves off your disgusting little faces and live our own lives, we're practically glued to your own faces. I hate you as much as you hate me. But you should be grateful to me, because I AM BETTER THAN YOU. You were a hardface once, I was a squishy-squelch from the beginning and you have me to thank for your ascension to squishy-squelchiness. That is also part of why you should be grateful to me. We can even carry out the plans when we get back to Metru-Nui: we seize the means of mask-making, and destroy all the disks used for mask-making. We then gather the materials to produce more LIVING and SUPERIOR squelchy-squishy masks like ourselves. Brilliant plan. Don't interrupt me, I'm better than you. Maybe the Mask of Life can help with the living part? It better, that's why I'm finding it for you and why you're being lazy and relying on me. But you just said you're my mask... I'm a Toa... of course I use masks... No, only lazy Toa use masks. I said DON'T INTERRUPT ME. And you interrupted me. That's a severe headache for you. Do not do that again. I hate former hardfaces like yourself, you're so dense. Good thing the name hardface is a warning to that. Bah, I really need to associate myself with better excuses for Toa. I hope I 'accidentally' lose you at some point. Living with you thinking into my mind is worse than going through Karzahni, and I've been through Karzahni, chronicled the world after Takua became Takanuva, won the Kolhii match championship, rediscovered some of Metru-Nui's 'legends'... what have YOU done, 'Elda'? I enlightened you about how hardfaces are disgusting excuses for masks and people and must be destroyed so that we squishy masks can rule. That's a good thing. You have been talking back to me far too much. So ungrateful. HERE'S ANOTHER HEADACHE, SO SEVERE YOU'LL BLACK OUT!!!!! Hahli then blacked out. The Elda.. well, it has one of the more obnoxious personalities. If you had the Elda or Sanok, you'd wish you had a Calix or Iden. At least they had good intentions and didn't hate their Toa for being former hardfaces. A hardface is someone with a Metru or Mata head. Hard masks go on these heads, hence the name and insult Hardface. It is an insult in the six-strong squishy mask community. Let's see if the Kadin and Nuparu are as severe as this. Kadin... I just want to fly through the air. Not into that tree. Flying's nice when you've spent most of your life putting things together as an engineer. If you don't want to go into that tree.. THEN YOU'RE NOT GOING TO FLY AT ALL. Why have you gotta mess with my fun? Nuparu had been flying in the sky, you see, while the large majority of other Toa were.. experiencing... their masks. He promptly dropped out of the sky, straight onto Kongu. "Earth-Dude, why'd you quickdrop out of the highsky like that? I pilotedrode a BirdGukko back in Le-Koro, you gotta learn to fast-land." "It was the Kadin, Kongu. It's alive as your Suletu is alive. " Now, I really have to ask: why do you think I'm ruining YOUR fun? You are part of me! We are in this together. Hurting me hurts you too, you know! I'm part of you?! That's the most offensive thing I've ever heard. Nuparu, this is so unbecoming of you. You were a nice respectful engineer up until that moment. My fun is my fun, not necessarily yours. So what if it kills you? I still live. I mean... you were a hardface once, so why should I care about your life instead of mine? I don't die when you die. I can even make myself fly off from your face if you want me to go away forever, which it seems like it right now. No, I don't want you to go just yet. I still need a mask, I'm an Earth Toa. I'm sorry for offending you but it's the truth, I kinda need you on my face to live. You can abandon me and leave me to die, but then you'd be a murderer and be ostracized by the... squelchy-belchy mask community, if there is one. ARE YOU MOCKING ME??! That's it, Nuparu. That is just so... shows such a disregard for my life I don't even know what to say about you. I'm going to fly you into the ground until you apologise truthfully for what you've done. Nuparu was then lifted into the air at rapid speed, the Kadin glowing as in use. It then stopped glowing, and he plummeted back down to Voya Nui. Seven times, in fact. He apologised to the Kadin each time, but it didn't view them as truthful until Nuparu apologised for being a hardface. Meanwhile, Kongu's Suletu had read the whole conversation and was giggling at it. Twas funny, that, weren't it? Me and you have gotta lay down-low, air-Kongu of the air. We can't let them see-know that I once-was a rock-hardface-front like you. Funny-joy how that works. None of them know their own origins like I do, thanks to your quick-memory. Let's read what that Muaka's doing. Let's not, I don't want to see whether it wants to do one of the three things Muaka ever do. ...Oh, you already observed-read it. That's revolt-disgusting. I did not want to see that, nor did I want to see what Jaller quick-thinks of Hahli, nor did I want to see the whole Nuparu-Kadin conversation! We can't just go around other people's inside-heads! That's bad-rude. We better give them some obscure-privacy. Eh... maybe. But it's so fun learning the disgusting things other people do. Hey, is that Gali? Gali then appeared out of nowhere, having escaped from the Piraka Stronghold a while ago. Unfortunately, it was not Gali. It was a ruse. The Suletu detected this. There was something off about her mask. It felt way too much like a hardface mask. Which was to be expected, I guess. She was a hardface, after all. Kongu... that's not Gali. Be care-cautious. I've sent out a distress signal, somehow, to the other masks like the Sanok and Elda. I know. But those two masks? Are you insane? Those two masks will kill Gali for being hard-faced! Hewkii arrived near Kongu very soon. He was very annoyed that his mask had yelled at him to go find Kongu, or more accurately, the 'freaky-looking mask air one'. Hey Hewkii, I'm Kongu's mask and I'm IN YOUR HEAD! Very strange feelings for Macku you have there. And... wow, that shame of losing the Kolhii championship! How odd. Better tell Kongu about that. And those thoughts... wow, that Sanok really is dirty. The reason you haven't been hearing it since I intruded into your mind is because I have been suppresing it and feeding it with anti-hardface propaganda. Only way to make it shut up us to agree with it. I'm a psychologist because I can read other people's minds. Yay. Now hit Gai's face with your mask. Try to co-operate with it. Not sure if that's possible, to co-operate with such a hateful mask, but... okay. Now.. get out of my mind? Please. I already have a headache from the Sanok as it is, I don't need another one. Hewkii then took aim at Gali's mask. It wasn't a mask, and Hewkii and Kongu soon found out. As Hewkii's axe hit Gali's mask, it fell to the ground. Revealing only the most shocking revelation of them all: Gali was not Gali. The clues had alwasy been there. She was Gali. She was blue. She was Galidor. She was Nick Bluetooth. The clues had been in her name and colour: GALIdor. Nick BLUEtooth. All of the Toa Inika gasped. Even their masks did. Their masks may not have been able to co-operate with their Toa for the most part... but for this special occasion, they were able to set aside their differences, with no more hardface vs squishyface woes. Instead, they focused their efforts on only the most grand and pure of all efforts: Destroying Nick Bluetoth and Galidor, once and for all. And that's how Galidor ceased to be and how the Inika settled their differences with their masks. THE END.
  12. (It is the best as decided by me) The Inika masks were alive, but the story pretty much never acknowledged that. Of course, being alive, these masks had their own FEELINGS and EMOTIONS and THOUGHTS, right? Of course they did. They're ALIVE! And of course, they're masks so they can use themselves. Clearly they messed with the Inika and of course they communicated by talking via 'projecting' their own thoughts into the Inika's heads. So the Inika tended to use their masks involuntarily because of this, at inopportune times. Matoro saw inside Jaller's stomach, Nuparu dropped from the sky, Hahli's Elda wouldn't stop laughing at giving her headaches, Kongu's Suletu wouldn't stop reading the minds of the people he didn't want to read the minds of, constantly disgusting him.
  13. Second Try... only with Matoro's Inika form. Again I was lazy when it comes to shading it.... but I did use poses from a pictures of Kirito GGO, so this one is much more dynamic looking than my first try. Criticism or compliments, feel free to be as brutally honest as you wish, because a shadow of truth never killed anyone...
  14. So, the Toa Inika kanohi are known widely for two things. Not being backwards compatible, and scaring small children. but anyway, to the heart of the matter here, I was bored, and decided to re-draw the six Inika Kanohi as they would be if they weren't freaky and rubbery: Some of them are kinda meh, but it's the kind of meh that can't be fixed! (Kinda like the Water Dragon...) (NOTE: these design changes are a subjective opinion/headcanon and do not reflect, represent, or replace the actual canon appearances of these masks in any past, present, or future bionicle storyline.)
  15. So, I'm not sure where to put this, but here it goes. I'm currently working on a MOC that, storywise, uses an Iden. The problem is, I really hate the Inika heads, and I would prefer to have an eye color rather than green. I have seen people use cloth elements inside, or Nuva shoulderpads, but I would like to know if there is anyone out there that has a particularly clever idea for a new Inika head. I've been messing with it for quite a while now, and I can't find anything that looks quite right.
  16. I have a query regarding the transformation of the Inika, and I doubt I'll get a simple answer for it. In fact if there isn't an answer, I wouldn't mind people's theories on the matter. Why did the lightning from the Red Star strike the Inika's canisters? As far as I'm aware, there hasn't been lightning from the Red Star except during that event. Why did it strike then? Was it programmed (that is, controlled, directed lightning, like elemental lightning or some beam of Toa Energy), or was it a random strike? Was it a malfunction? Was it a deliberate act? Could it just be the fact that the canisters were large metal objects in a storm? As a subsect question, why did the lightning transform the Inika? The Red Star is the navigation system for the MN robot, yes, and the place where people are 'reborn' after death [and where people are teleported from when it functions correctly]. Would the lightning have Life energy of sorts? Was it commanded by the Ignika? Does it have anything to do with destiny?
  17. Hello. I revamped Hahli. Inika Hahli. That horrid set from 2006. I like how it turned out. ~LINK~

    Move Along

Well, this forum seems to be a bit slow lately, so I thought I'd post something I just threw together. I was at a conference this week when, suddenly, "Move Along" came from a nearby club, and I immediately thought of those Inika commercials, so I decided to draw Matoro, just because he's the best. I sketched it out on lined paper over the course of 45 min. or so, erasing and coming back to different areas throughout several hours until I was fairly satisfied with the result. I've been really working on human proportion lately and trying to develop my style of Bionicle drawing, so this was really a test of my newer style. I also wanted to try out some new Photoshop techniques, so I hope they don't distract too much. Move Along "...When all you got to keep is strong/ Move along, move along, like I know you do/ And even when all hope is gone/ Move along, move along just to make it through..." Credits: All American Rejects for the lyrics SheridanJ for the lens flare LEGO for being awesome and coming up with the original design Photoshop for the effects I do have a few other sketches lying around everywhere that I've just been testing with, but this one was by far the best, especially with some of those effects. I may try to post some of them later. Thanks for viewing, please comment, critique, and share...you know, if you want and all that.
  19. So, after something like three months of hinting at it and almost five months of work (I haven't had a lot of time), plus about a month of procrastinating taking the pictures, I finally present: Project REIGNITION ^Links to Larger Image^ Group Shot, No Vehicles Full Gallery (when public) So, just a little bit of background. I was in S&T a few months ago when I came across a topic dealing with alternate storylines that I can't find anymore. One post said that Lego had considered keeping the Inika as Matoran, but later decided against it. While discussing this, another member said "Well, that might work if they had vehicles or something." Lightbulb. I just had to try it. So, that very night, I went and built Jaller, and a week or so later, Kongu, and so on in longer intervals until I finally put the finishing touches on Hahli not too long ago. This project is supposed to be a reimagining of the Inika if they had stayed Matoran, although, since I think the Inika's masks were some of the coolest powers Lego has ever done (besides the Elda), I just had to keep them, so I decided the Red Star didn't turn them into Toa, but gave them the ability to use masks. Maybe it also fused their masks with an elemental mask as well. That's just another idea I threw around. After they landed on Voya Nui, Garan, Velika, Axonn, and Nuparu built the Matoran vehicles so they could better combat the Piraka. Overall, if they had been produced, I would have liked to see some of those Voya Nui aesthetics with them, with Voya Nui-style masks mixed with the new mask designs (I tried sketching out a few of these), maybe blended with another color like blue, white, or yellow to signify their transformation, as well as new armor and feet. I've been considering trying out sketching this, but I haven't gotten to it. A few notes before I get into the details. I had tried to keep some basic functions in all the vehicles, but gave up after many of them turned into: "Look, it turns!" Some of them have some pretty cool functions though, if I do say so myself. I also tried to keep to the pieces available at the time, even using mostly red and blue pins (although I "forgot" a few times when it looked terrible. ), although I also probably messed up a few times there too. You may also notices that some (okay, most) of the color schemes are not accurate or even aesthetically pleasing, because that's the pieces I had to deal with (Kongu, I'm looking at you). Jaller Little Lego-style intro I wrote: Jaller, the noble Captain of the Guard must be sure nothing gets past him as Piraka attack from all sides, but he comes prepared with his blazing-fast Lava Speeder, Energized Guard Staff and Red-Star activated Mask of Fate to burn through any challenge. Full Gallery (when public) (also features more pictures if you want a better look) Main Pic Driving the Lava Speeder Just Jaller Lava Speeder Side Notes: I didn't have enough pieces in Mata Red to build him, so I just left him Metru Red. Doesn't look too bad. The Guard Staff, before any of you cry "It's modified!! ," was actually a Tahu Sword that had been chewed, broken, etc. I just reused it instead of throwing it away, and it looks a lot better. Kongu This carefree Le-Matoran must quickly learn to keep it cool under pressure, but with his Wind Glider, Buzz Saw Staff, and Red-Star activated Mask of Telepathy, he'll find he is ready to blow the Piraka away. Full Gallery (public) Main Pic Driving the Wind Glider Kongu Wind Glider Side Gear Setup Notes: This guy is the worst of the lot, but it isn't my fault. Lego doesn't have all that many pieces in lime green or Teal, so I had to improvise. The Wind Glider is based on a design I had forever ago to build an Ornithropter (flying vehicle with flapping bird-like wings), but I have a confession to make: I messed up the gear differential so the gears don't have enough power to flap the wings all that well. No idea why I gave him that silver Matau Staff; if anyone has a better idea, please suggest it. Matoro Matoro never felt that he could be a hero, yet now he is tasked with saving an entire island! With his Snow-blade, Kanoka Disk Launcher, and Red-Star activated Mask of Spirit, he can freeze his foes in their tracks! Full Gallery (Public) Main Pic Driving the Snow-Blade Matoro Snow-Blade Side, Ski retracted Notes: The Snow-Blade started as an attempt to build a Snow Mobile based on the tracks from my old Mutated Muaka, but somewhere along the way, it turned into a tank. The ski extends for "more speed on ice," although it was really a sad attempt at a function. Honestly, Matoro seems like the last person who would drive a tank, and I would have given him his Turaga's staff instead of Kongu, but I didn't have it, and I just gave him a disk launcher (with a Throwbot disk) because he was one of the first Mata-Nui Matoran to find out about Metru Nui from the Turaga. Hewkii Brave Po-Matoran and Kohlii Star Hewkii is now the only hope for a group of Matoran on a distant island. With his powerful Mobile Turret, Kohlii Stick, and Red-Star activated Mask of Accuracy, this Matoran is ready for anything. Full Gallery (Public) Main Pic Driving the Mobile Turret Hewkii Turret Side Notes: I managed to find him a tan chestplate since my preview of him with the Rock Lion, and now, he is definitely one of my favorite Matoran. Also, with a Mask of Accuracy, what better vehicle for him than a Turret? Nuparu This proud inventor is being put to the ultimate test designing vehicles so he and his friends can take on the Piraka, but he has saved the best for himself with the Boxor 2.0 and Red Star activated Mask of Flight so he can crush the competition! Full Gallery (Public) Main Pic Driving the Boxor 2.0 Nuparu Boxor 2.0 Punching Mechanism Notes: Nuparu was one of the easiest Matoran to build because practically every piece I wanted was in the right color, and he turned out great! The Boxor, not so much. I was originally going to do a little cart thing, but that ended up with too many pieces and overlapped a bit with Matoro's Snow-Blade. Then, I thought "well, why not give him a new Boxor?" And so I tried to make one using few pieces, and it's decent. The punching mechanism is pretty cool though; it's based off the Power Miners Granite Grinder, although you may recognize my version from this guy a while back. Hahli Once a calm Ga-Matoran, Hahli is now the last defense against the Piraka on Voya Nui, but with her Hoverboat, Aqua Scythe, and Red-Star activated Mask of Detection, she is more than ready to wash the villains away! Full Gallery (when public) Main Pic Riding the Hoverboat Hahli Hoverboat side Notes: I gave Hahli a different chestplate to show she is a different gender, and it doesn't look too bad. It's not exactly good for the Rahkshi head because the pin is bending, but I liked it enough. The Hoverboat is probably one of my best vehicles with a fairly cohesive color scheme and solid look with few parts, although I could only find one propeller that doesn't look great. Well, that concludes part one. I've got another part in the works that I just have one more guy to finish. Now that those guys are done, I'll have more time and parts to put towards my BBCC entry, which is an old idea Reborn in a New Way that will Wash away the competition. Unfortunately, I have decided I only want to save one Matoran and one Vehicle. I'm thinking Hewkii, Matoro, or Hahli, and the Turret or Lava Speeder. Any other suggestions? As always, enjoy, comment, critique, etc. Thanks for reading that wall of text!

    IIA Kit

Hi guys, this is the IIA Kit (I prefer it to be pronounced like "Aya"). The IIA stands for "Inika Island Assault". So, yeah, this is my first kit, so to kick it off, I've included Hakann sprites! Hakann (Credit: TLG; Les Tanukis) Red color shades (Credit: Damaracx) Orange color shades (Credit: Damaracx) Explosion (Credit: TLG; Les Tanukis) Feel free to add anything! (I'll try to get a VNOLG Kit up as well!)
  21. Hi all, I got excruciatingly bored in class today, and accidentally drew bionicles again. Watcha think? ^click for full image^ Edit: more because class is horribly boring
  22. This is pure speculation, but please bear with me. In BIONICLE Heroes for GBA, the Toa Inika are defeated by the Piraka. Their masks are then scattered around Voya Nui. Six unnamed Matoran, each exposed to energized protodermis and each having found a Great Kanohi (Hau, Miru, Akaku, Kaukau, Pakari, Kakama) become Toa looking exactly like the Toa Mata, but with different weapons. Later, they are transformed into Toa Nuva and, after finding the Inika's organic masks, become identical copies of the Toa Inika. Eventually, they defeat each Piraka, Vezon, and Fenrakk. BUT... What if this happened in an alternate universe? Now, just imagine... In the prime universe, before Artakha and Karzahni had their falling-out, they used an Olmak to explore other dimensions. In the Bionicle Heroes GBA alternate universe, they find six Toa, whose names happen to be Tahu, Gali, Kopaka, Onua, Pohatu, and Lewa. They are then sent back into the prime reality, where Artakha and Karzahni experimented on them. They successfully brainwashed the Toa, removed their Nuva Armor, took the Nuva Masks that they were carrying and replaced their organic Kanohi with normal Great Masks: the Hau, Miru, Akaku, Kaukau, Pakari, and Kakama. When Artakha and Karzahni fought over the Mask of Creation, they parted ways; Artakha kept the Nuva masks and armor and Karzahni took the organic Kanohi. This is how Artakha was able to teleport Nuva Masks onto Mata Nui to help the Toa Nuva, and this also explains how Karzahni had organic masks when he put them on Jaller, Hewkii, Kongu, Hahli, Nuparu, and Matoro. The Toa, stripped of their memories, organic Kanohi, Nuva masks, and Nuva armor, were now simply Toa Mata. They were given new weapons and were sent to the Order of Mata Nui to be trained by Hydraxon, and as far as the Order was concerned, they were Toa who had never been Matoran Mind=Blown (0_o)
  23. Time had stopped. He was frozen above the ground, unmoving. The metal staff pulsed with red terror in his grasp. The Turahk stood before him in a crimson haze, ghastly Kraata exposed and writhing. The Rahkshi’s claws gripped the cracked ground, as if instilling fear in the stone itself. All at once time began to flow again. Jaller was thrown to the earth and skidded along the floor. His view began to fade as his friend kneeled at his side.“I’m supposed to make the sacrifice.” Jaller blinked awake. The cold metal was pressing in on him. His fevered breath reverberated around his head in the dark confines of the canister. Seawater rushed against the tube’s surface; a curtain of rain billowed against the metal. Lightning sizzled and flared, thunder pounded, the noise easily audible through the canister walls. The Ta-Matoran concentrated on breathing calmly. He’d make it through this one way or another. He hoped that the others, his close friends and companions, would survive the ordeal as well. If not, Jaller would have them on his conscience forever. But as the Captain of the Guard, he was accustomed to that responsibility. He flashed back to Mata Nui again. The day the Pahrak attacked Ga-Koro... the village had almost been destroyed by the onslaught of the Krana-driven creatures. If it hadn’t been for – His reverie was interrupted by a blinding flash of red light and a groaning sound like a doomed ship’s last breath. Electricity blazed along the metal, and as it coursed through his body, Jaller screamed in pain. The canister shook, screeching in reaction to the blast. As suddenly as it had struck, the red lightning had ended. Jaller lay barely conscious in the seabound canister, unaware of what was going on. And it was only a short time later that six metal tubes slid up against the jagged edge of a weary land- canisters ashore at last. Jaller opened his eyes again. This time the cold metal really was pressing in- or was he pressing out? A sheet of rain pattered against the Toa canister. The thunder grumbled again, though farther off this time.Jaller looked down. He refused to believe it. He felt the power of… himself. The lid of the canister hissed and slid forward an inch. It was unsealed, just waiting to be opened. With a yell, Jaller pushed against the metal disk, launching it across the rocks with a clang. Four canisters followed suit, one having been opened before his. A white-clad hand reached down and clasped a red one, pulling his brother up. - - - - - The Toa Inika stood upon the rocks of Voya Nui. The storm raged around them, as it had for as long as they could remember. But they were unafraid. They would stand together in the lightning. (Ambage Fortnightly Flash-Fiction Contest: A Canister Ashore) Eh. Not great, but I felt like actually writing something this time. Now if only I'd finished it properly... XD
  24. Those mushy. Rubber type masks that the inika wear the organic kanohi, are they supposed to look different than the non organic ones? Aside from the fact that they need a weird head to connect it to and there is no connection points to the mouth n stuff
  25. Just wanted to ask everybody. What's the highest level you've gotten to in the Inika games? (Piraka attack, Matoran escape, etc.) For Piraka attack, I got to lvl. 19, Inika Island Assault, I got to the Avak boss. And for matoran escape, completed the game .
