  1. Hi, guys! Since Halloween is coming, which Ninjago character do you guys think is the scariest? For me, here's my list: 1. Samukai 2. The other Skulkin generals (Nuckal, Kruncha, and Wyplash) 3. The Hypnobrai 4. The Fangpyre 5. The Constrictai 6. The Venomari 7. The Anacondrai 8. General Kozu 9. Lord Garmadon 10. The Overlord 11. The Great Devourer 12. General Cryptor 13. the giant Anacondrai snake that Clouse keeps as a pet 14. Morro 15. Ghoultar 16. Dogshank 17. Doubloon 18. The Vermillion 19. The Time Twins So, there. What do you think, guys?
  2. PREVIOUSLY ON BIONICLE X NINJAGO MAFIA: A NEW CONFLICT / NINJAGO STRIKES BACK / RETURN OF THE TOA (credit to art in banner goes to TBK, may his presence on BZPower rest in peace) Turmoil has engulfed BIONICLE MAFIA. The rising threat of the sinister BROTHERHOOD OF MAKUTA threatens to break through the defenses of the perilous Desolation. Hoping to resolve the matter with little bloodshed, the MATORAN have enlisted a small village to defend and form a blockade at the Wall. While those who control the STAFF OF UNLIMITED POWER endlessly debate this alarming chain of events, the evil villain known as HAPORI DUME has secretly dispatched his Cult Leader to the blockade, hoping to settle the conflict to further his own devious plans…. --- RULES 1-Vote changes are not permitted. 2-All BZP Rules Apply. 3-Once killed, players can no longer have an impact on the game. 4-Role revealing is not allowed. 5-This game will employ “innocence” lists rather than suspect lists. ROLES THE MATORAN Matoran x9 – Ordinary players who vote on who to execute each day. Detective x1 – This player investigates one other person each night to determine their role, and cannot be brainwashed by the Cult Leader. Medic x1 – This player can protect one person each night from both death and the Cult Leader. BROTHERHOOD OF MAKUTA Icarax x1 – Leader of the Makuta sent to the Wall; he decides who to send and who to kill each night. If he dies, Icarax can take two other players down with him. Gorast x1 – Most bloodthirsty of the Makuta; when sent, she will kill two players instead of one. Bitil x1 – Thanks to his ability to summon past versions of himself, Bitil is safe from the influence of the Cult Leader. Krika x1 – When sent to kill, there is a chance that Krika can still end up on the innocent list for that night. Vamprah x1 – Vamprah leaves no trace; when he is sent, no innocent list will be given. HAPORI DUME’S CULT Cult Leader x1 – A very mysterious figure; rumor has it that he is a ninja warrior from another world entirely. Each night, he selects two players to target; one of the players targeted is immediately converted to the Cult, and they become a Cultist allied with the Cult. If the Cult Leader dies, all other players allied with the Cult also perish; luckily, the Cult Leader will survive the first attempt made on their life. THE OTHER GUY Pyro x1 – This cherry flavored Ta-Matoran has gone completely insane, and each night, will decide the fates of two chosen victims by the flip of a coin. The unlucky one gets burned alive, or meets some other unfortunate end. PLAYER LIST 1-Toru the Great Spirit 2-Luroka the Karma Houdini 3-Valendale the Frozen King 4-Onaku the Nonexistent Ghost 5-Pahrak the Roxtus Bohrok 6-RG the Grape Fruit 7-Taka the Missing Artist 8-Xccj the Staff Person 9-ShadowVezon the Imprisoned King - Matoran, BBQed Night 1 10-Smokey the Smoke Monster 11-TL the Jungle Destroyer 12-Trijhak the Magna Master 13-Blade the Blessed Blade 14-Unit the Decimal Point 16-ToaD the Amphibious Toa 17-FF the Fluorescent Flower 18-Vox the Chro Clone 19-Nato the Plot Device
  3. So with the conclusion of the seventh season of Ninjago recently, we're all left wondering what will become of Wu, the Time Twins, and the Vermillion; how the ninja will move forward with Lloyd filling the role of Master; and when the new Samurai X will drop the act and be revealed as P.I.X.A.L. already (the only acceptable alternative, in my opinion, being that it's really Seliel from the Who is the Phantom Ninja? graphic novel finally coming to television). However, the season also raised some questions through its depiction of the Elemental Masters of the past, who appeared both in flashback and due to time travel. The most pressing question is with regards to the previous Elemental Master of Earth, and where he stands in relation to Cole. Given that he appears to be roughly equivalent in age to Ray, Maya, and Jay's as-yet unnamed mother, it would make the most sense for him to be Cole's father. Problem is, Cole's father has already been identified as Lou, leader of the Royal Blacksmiths quartet, who has demonstrated no hints of history as an Elemental Master. Most likely explanations for this are that either he IS the former Elemental Master of Earth and the writers simply haven't written it into the series yet, or he himself might be related to this former master. Going off the weird timeline/aging process associated with the Elemental Masters of old, it would seem most likely that he could either have been the Master's son and already born at the time of the battle with Acronix and Krux, with Lou having Cole around the time that Kai and Cole were born to his father's comrades, or else possibly the brother of the Master of Earth, both of them being sons of a previous Master of Earth with Lou's bloodline allowing Cole to inherit the powers. The second question comes with regard to an Elemental Master of Ninja with no relation to the present group of ninja-in fact, the question is who IS he related to. I'm referring to an Elemental Master who has been seen wearing a gray helmet, some armor with his brown clothing, and carries a spear. Now, previously I've seen some consider this guy the Elemental Master of Gravity, due to his ability to float in the air, and thus an ancestor of the turban wearing and highly unoriginally named Gravis. However, during the most recent season, when he first appears in a group lineup with the Elemental Masters, Wu's list of acknowledged Elemental Powers includes not Gravity, but Metal. Considering that Karloff, the current Master of Metal, uses his powers to encase himself in metal all Marvel's Colossus style, it makes me wonder if this gentleman may not have been the previous Master of Metal utilizing his powers in a fashion more like Magneto, manipulating the metal he wears to lift himself off the ground. Also, it'd be kind of nice to know how the previous Master of Ice-whose clothing gives me a real Inuit vibe-passed his powers down to Zane, given that Zane's...a robot, while the Master appears human.
  4. This year, I've been going to San Diego Comic-Con. As such, I wanted to add and collect as much new LEGO information as I can from there, for the purpose of reporting, recording, and discussing it. I'll be updating this topic as the days go on. A lot of this is Ninjago themed, as LEGO is really pushing it this year and it's the system theme I personally care about the most, but I'll try to cover everything there is. With that being said, here is my coverage of nearly everything LEGO at Comic-Con 2017: Day 0 (July 19) ------------------------------------------------ Show Floor Unsurprisingly, much of the show floor is themed after Ninjago. The main building area of the booth features instructions for various different Ninjago-themed set-pieces (pillars, arches, and the Ninjago "N"). In front of the main area are three life-sized LEGO Statues: The Flash from "Flash," Thor from "Thor: Ragnarok," and Luke Skywalker from "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." The main displays in the front show off "NINJAGO® City" as well as various Brickheadz (including the 2 exclusive ones). In the corner of the booth is a demo for the LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game. In the demo level, the players control Lloyd on the Green Ninja Mech Dragon (Player 1) and Jay in the Lightning Jet (Player 2) as they fly through Ninjago City, taking down some of Garmadon's jets as they do so. After 3 dogfighting phases, you switch to Kai (Player 1) and Cole (Player 2) fighting Garmadon's goons on the ground as you attempt to repair the city and get to your mechs. The game launches September 22 on PlayStation 4, XBOX ONE, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The display cases on the side of the booth shows off all the new sets coming out this summer, including one not seen before today: "garmadon, Garmadon, GARMADON!" from the LEGO Ninjago Movie line. It's price is $79.99, and it's a Toys "R" Us exclusive. The shop in the back of the booth features nearly all the new summer sets for sale. Because of my general bias towards Ninjago as well as what I feel most people would find interesting, I took note of all the prices for the new Ninjago Movie sets: If people would like me to get the prices for other sets, I'm happy to do so. I personally bought the Water Strider and a NINJAGO minifig. Day 0 Picture Gallery Day 1 (July 20) ------------------------------------------------ Outside the Convention Center First day of NINJOGA. Not much to say (since I didn't go to this one), other than it's Ninjago yoga. Show Floor The Ninjago-themed builds have been replaced with a building area for Garmadon. There was also a giveaway of small Ninjago Movie sets. Sails Pavillion Personally, this was the part I was satisfied with the least today. The distribution of the tickets for the exclusive Brickheadz set (Spider-Man / Venom) seems to have been completely messed up by SDCC security, as around 300 people managed to jump into the LEGO line before going through the "Everything" line required to actually get into line, leading to many people (myself included) not being able to even get a chance at winning a ticket, and the line closing down 15-20 minutes after the con opening. This didn't happen to just the LEGO line, but Funko too; and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened to the other lines too (albeit to a lesser degree). Hopefully this is fixed for the giveaway tomorrow. The giveaway for the minifigure (Deadpool Duck) was a lot better, going at a more reasonable pace compared to the Brickheadz, and more people getting a chance to win one. I luckily managed to get one of them. Unikitty Panel The new show looks cute, and like it would be plenty of fun for younger kids. The animation style seems to mostly be the same as Teen Titans Go!, however, it also includes some restrictions to keep it grounded in the world of LEGO (Unikitty's legs decidedly don't move, and a lot of the characters are made of blocky shapes to imitate that LEGO aesthetic). It seems like a pretty wholesome, fun show, with a lot of comedy, action, and sentimentality thrown in (It reminds me a little bit of MLP in that regard). It also seems it would get repetitive in tone and general structure very quickly. That being said, I could be quite surprised. Ninjago Movie Panel Now, this is the real meat & potatoes of today. There's a lot to cover here (some of it potentially spoilery), so this will probably be one of the longer sections of the coverage. To kick it off, the panel began by setting up brick-built name tags for all the presenters, with the voice actors having their roles on them as minifigures. After this, the moderator came up and have a short speech about what makes the LEGO films special. Following this, a compilation clip of the 3 LEGO films played, transitioning the audience from the first two into this new one. The producer of the three movies then came out to discuss with everyone what makes the LEGO movies so great, before introducing the different characters of the new movie with a new character trailer. As the voice actors came out, a polybag version of the Green Ninja Mech Dragon was passed out to everyone in the audience. The voice actors were first asked about how they prepare for their roles (The announcer pronounced Nya's name throughout the panel as "Nai-ah," rather than "Ni-ah." This may or may not apply to the a actual film.). Justin Theroux bases his Garmadon off of narcissists he knows in real life, Olivia Munn just does the opposite of everything her mother did, and Abbi Jacobson just relates to the strong, rad character of Nya. Kumail Nanjiani is then asked if he played with LEGO as a kid, to which with some humorous responses he ultimately said "yes." Michael Peña's son is apparently a LEGO fanatic, having been to "LEGO Seminar" earlier today and learning some pretty advanced techniques from it. All Zach Woods could say about Zane is "a robit who wants to be a teenager," and that he looks like "a freshman from Princeton." The film is apparently Dave Franco's favorite project. After this chatter, a new trailer played for the film, which will be released tomorrow. After the trailer, the rest of the presenters talked about the film, before doing a short Q&A session until the end. Here are some of the information from that I found interesting: -All the fight scenes were choreographed by Jackie Chan's stunt team -The film is 2 weeks from being finished -Justin came up with the "Luh-loyd" joke -Michael's seen every episode of Ninjago, and rode the LEGOLAND ride 5 times -The Gold Ninja may or may not make an appearance in the film -The main point of the film is Lloyd trying to give his dad a chance. As such, the back stories for the other ninja won't be as fleshed out. -There's a reason for Garmadon's heavy nautical themes this time around, and it somehow involves -After the LEGO Movie 2, more diverse and varied themes are being considered for films Day 1 Picture Gallery Day 2 (July 21) ------------------------------------------------ Outside the Convention Center Day 2 of NINJOGA. Again, not much to say, as I didn't have time to attend. LEGO has delayed the new trailer's release date to tomorrow; however, it was released before they expected today. Show Floor Today, they're handing out a unique Justice League poster up front. I don't know where the Ninjago Movie poster is available. The Garmadon statue is still under construction. Once complete, it'll stand over 7 feet tall. The LEGO designers of the "NINJAGO® City" set are livestreaming the building process behind it. It can be seen . The line for purchasing the exclusive Brickheadz consistently wrap around the booth halfway. I bought 4 more Ninjago minifigures. Sails Pavillion The set (Supergirl / Martian Manhunter) ticket drawing was a lot better this time around. There were a lot more security measures and people watching to make sure less people jump into the line. The pace was also better, with seemingly more people losing than yesterday. I actually managed to win one this time! The minifig line (Vixen) is rather long, and moving at a rather slow pace. Thankfully, I decided against getting this one, as I wanted to focus more on the Brickheadz. Day 2 Picture Gallery Overall, not much happened today, and I don't expect much will tomorrow, as there were no panels today and there are none tomorrow. Day 3 (July 22) ------------------------------------------------ Outside the Convention Center Third day of NINJOGA. Again, don't have enough time to go to it. Show Floor The giant statue of Garmadon has been finished. Construction has begun on another model this time; that of Lloyd. Today, they were handing out little Ninjago coloring books as well as an exclusive Thor: Ragnarok poster. It's, as well as the Justice League poster's, creator, Tom Whalen, signed both of them as well. After asking the person who's been running LEGO's Twitter, I found out that the Ninjago Movie poster has been given out at some point physically at the Warner Bros. booth. As such, I won't be able to get it. Sails Pavillion The way the line works for the Brickheadz ticket release, as well as most of the other exclusives, was a little bit different today. Rather than have everybody rush to get into the line at once, security grabbed a group of people and put them into the line. Once they passed, they grabbed another group and did the same. I can only assume they did this so that the lines weren't forced to go down the steps, which if opened, could lead to people who weren't in the "everything" line beforehand sneaking into the exclusives lines. Through some really nice luck, I managed to get 2 of the Brickheadz today (Spider-Man / Venom). The minifig line was really long today (Deadpool Duck). I'm lucky to have gotten one on Monday, as to not worry about it today. Day 3 Picture Gallery One more day left! Tomorrow's gonna have 3 LEGO panels (including one on the Ninjago TV show), so it's going to be a lot more productive. I might add a Day 5 to summarize my thoughts on SDCC as a whole, as well. Day 4 (July 23) ------------------------------------------------ Outside the Convention Center Final day of NINJOGA. Once more, I won't have time to attend the session. Sorry about not being able to cover this part for you guys! Show Floor No exclusive posters were handed out today. The large statue of Lloyd was finally finished, and the small statue of Garmadon signed by someone (I wasn't there at the time of signing, so I can't say for certain). Sails Pavillion The line was really well managed... for the first 5 minutes. After this, a swarm of people were let loose in the direction of the LEGO line. Thankfully, there were 2 members of security blocking off the entrance, and nobody had any time to cut in line. I managed to get another of Supergirl / Martian Manhunter sets. The minifig line (Vixen) was just as ridiculous as ever. I decided to go against waiting for it, even though it was the last opportunity to do so. Scooby-Doo Panel The film, Blowout Beach Bash, was okay. It does have some problems (in that the film at times feels overly long, and other times really short), and in general is just okay. Some of the jokes miss, and some really land (mostly the ones involving the fact that they're LEGO), but most of the jokes are standard fair. The explosion, water and fire effects are surprisingly decent. The songs, on the other hand, were pretty bad (thankfully, they only were in the first half). Overall, it's an okay film. I would recommend it if you enjoy Scooby-Doo, but otherwise, I would skip it. The panel, while short, was pretty fun. 3 signed copies of a poster for the film was handed out, and it almost all a Q&A session with some of the cast and crew. The film was released today / is already available. Superhero Girls Panel The film, Brain Drain, I personally think was better than the Scooby-Doo one. If I had a complaint, it would be the final concert scene of the film feels very out of place with the rest of film, and some of the dialogue seems fastly paced at times. However, the film has some pretty decent jokes, and I think it's a stronger film than Scooby-Doo one. The panel was pretty short as well, and really nice. It had some of the writers and all of the main cast on it, and a lot of it was discussing how important strong female characters for girls to relate to are. There was also a Q&A section, and 3 signed posters were given out. The film will be released July 25th. Ninjago Panel Again, this was probably the big highlight of the day. There's going to be a lot to cover, so let's get started. After a short introduction from the Voice Actors (as they couldn't attend the panel) and a short trailer for the season, the first thing covered was the creation of Season 7, The Hands of Time. The design process of the season first began with choosing what characters the season would focus on, in which this case they chose Kai & Nya. For their new story focusing on them, they wanted to try to explore the mystery of "what happened to their parents." They actually had the idea of the elemental masters for a few years now, and only now we're they revealed as a way to tie into this season. The Hageman Brothers really didn't want to do a time-travel season, as all the problems time-travel bring up; however, as they were not involved with this season, the time-travel idea for through. They then moved on to discussing the new Ninja X, and though they didn't give anything away about who it is, they did heavily imply that we may get an answer to it in the next season. The Bermillion were originally green; however, when the name "Vermillion" was chosen (which comes from how they are vermin and there are millions of them), their color was changed to red. They then talked a little bit about the designing of the Fusion Dragon and how that was translated to the TV show, as well as how the disappearance of Wu would effect all the ninja and their lives. The music of each season has a featured instrument in the soundtrack (for example, the feature instrument in Season 7 was the dulcimer). Day 4 Picture Gallery It's finally over! Sorry about the long delay in this final update; there was a lot of information to go through, and there was some things as well that were taking up my time; however, SDCC has ended, and so too has my coverage. I will be staying in California for a little while longer for college trips and grandparent visits, but I am going to Brickfair, and I will be selling/giving away some of the stuff I got. If people still have questions on some of the stuff I posted, or just want to discuss, then go ahead; otherwise, that's that!
  5. I had a question about the placement of a topic I wanted to make. I'm going to every day of San Diego Comic-Con, and I wanted to create a topic recording and discussing all the new information there; however, much of LEGO's presence there is on Ninjago. Should I make it in the General LEGO forum, even though it's going to be mostly Ninjago, the Ninjago forum and cut out the other content, or split it between the two? Thanks!
  6. When it comes to most things I'm a fan of, I'm a bit of a completist, especially in the area of merchandise. As such, if something appeared in the Ninjago TV series, I feel it should appear in set form. Now this doesn't apply to everything-I honestly don't care much for season four's Elemental Masters all that much-but there are definitely a few show elements that I think should appear in set form, such as the following: Young Wu and Garmadon-perhaps a recreation of their epic duel?-and the First Spinjitzu Master.Garmadon's Samurai Mech-that thing was a beast, and it seems a shame that it never got it's own set.The Overlord Dragon-the Golden Dragon was nice, but without its nemesis it seems incomplete. You could even get some extra out of it by including purified/pre-Sensei Garmadon or the First Spinjitzu Master; the latter would enable you to recreate the ancient battle of good and evil.Project: Arcturus-that ship was sweet, and a set version could be really cool. Of course, a figure of its Serpentine namesake wouldn't go amiss...The Preeminent-again, it just seems wrong to finish out a year without releasing a set of the big bad, and the Preeminent would definitely make a nice addition. The Earth Dragon-I'm sorry, but "Cole's Dragon" was garbage, especially compared to other Dragons we've had in the series. I figure we could get Cole, perhaps his dad and the Royal Blacksmiths or Yang's other four students who don't have Minifigs, and maybe even a Seliel fig? She is so cool, they really should put her in the show/toyline.Water and Fire Dragons-the upcoming "Fusion Dragon" is cool, but it'd be nice for the dragons who compose it to get their own sets. The Black Bounty-might just be a recolor of the Destiny's Bounty, but it would give you the chance to get Soto's crew and maybe even the Bizarro Ninja. So, anyone have any thoughts on these, or any suggestions for other sets?
  7. My but this forum is light on topics. So if my calculations are correct, as of the Day of the Departed special eight of the Ninjago series' Sixteen Realms have been identified: NinjagoThe UnderworldThe Dark Realm (where Lord Garmadon got his extra arms)The Cursed Realm (destroyed)Cloud KingdomChimaDjinnjago (destroyed)The Departed Realm As a result, there are eight realms that are as yet unaccounted for, though of course we may see more as the Hageman brothers see fit to use them as a plot device. Until we do, however, there's plenty of speculation to be made as to what the remaining eight realms might consist of. Personally, based on my own preferences and my assessments of Lego in general, I could see the following: Knighton-Nexo Knights seems to have replaced Chima, so it would make sense that it would have it's own realm.DC Super Heroes-whether or not Super Hero Girls would be included or be it's own separate thing is up for debate.Marvel Super HeroesStar Wars-goes without saying that, as one of Lego's most popular and expansive themes, it would get it's own realm.Middle Earth-what with two video games (not counting Dimensions) and numerous sets, it seems like it would have one.Harry Potter-again, Lego's done a lot with it.Elvendale/Heartlake City World-given their similar minifigure types, it would make sense for them to share a world.DisneyGiven the season one reference to Clutch Powers, I would imagine that the Lego City theme fits into Ninjago, along with the likes of Lego Atlantis. Any other themes would probably be bunched in with these realms or else could be described as additional ones beyond the "cluster" if you will of sixteen that includes Ninjago. Of course, the loss of two realms does also open it up to where there could be space for an additional two to fill the void.
  8. I often see topics that are sort of the opposite of this one, asking which aspects of the Ninjago TV show you would like to see in sets. But I rarely see stuff that asks the opposite question: are there things in the Ninjago sets that you wish would appear in the show? One thing I wish was more present in the show is Nya's daggers. They were her signature weapon in the 2011 sets, and both the 2012 and 2016 versions of Samurai X included a version on a pole as a naginata. But neither has been given any equivalent in the show. I know that pretty much none of the ninja use their classic signature weapons as much as they used to, and that Samurai X has her own signature weapon in the show (the boomerang blade), but I think these weapons really suit Nya. Kai's scar is another example. In the sets, Kai has always had a scar over his left eye (except for in the Target Minifigure Gift Set), but in the show this was omitted since such a battle-hardened look didn't fit with his backstory as a blacksmith in a peaceful village. However, that doesn't preclude the possibility of him sustaining a future injury in the show to better reconcile it with the sets. It could even be an interesting plot point from a narrative perspective since Kai is kind of vain and it would be interesting to see what he'd think if the ninja life started to wear on him physically. Can anybody else think of examples of things from the Ninjago sets that could be fun to see in the show?
  9. LEGO has made a LOT of sets containing dragons, especially in recent years. Brickset counts around 70 sets containing dragons, more than half of which were released in just the past five years. So out of curiosity, how many LEGO dragons do you have, and which ones are your favorites? Do you prefer molded dragons like the ones in LEGO Castle, or more brick-built ones like the ones from LEGO Ninjago and LEGO Elves? I'm not sure how many dragons I have from 90s Castle sets, but my twin brother and I have about 25 dragons from the past decade: the Kardas Dragon from LEGO Bionicle, Dragon Bolt from LEGO Hero Factory, twelve dragons from LEGO Ninjago, and eleven dragons from LEGO Elves. My overall favorites are Elandra the Queen Dragon from LEGO Elves and the Master Wu Dragon from LEGO Ninjago. I have a hard time choosing between them. Elandra is bigger and more lifelike, while Master Wu Dragon is more posable. Generally I prefer brick-built dragons over molded ones. A decade ago I might've had a different answer, but today there are lots of great hinge and curved slope pieces for building lifelike, posable LEGO creatures. Feel free to share your thoughts on LEGO dragons!
  10. While I didn't buy any of the sets when the theme initially came out (it was during my time where I fell out of LEGO for a little while, after BIONICLE was first cancelled), and while I didn't watch the TV show as it was first airing, I do remember marathoning it a couple of weeks before the first "finale", and from what I remember, I actually really enjoyed it! With the new movie coming out and BIONICLE's cancellation, I was thinking about maybe getting back into the series, and actually buying some sets this time. However, I haven't followed anything about it since the not-ending, so I don't know if I should pick it back up again. So, should I pick it up again? And if I were to start buying some of the sets, what would you recommend? EDIT: Phrasing

  12. I'm just curious about which one of these themes you all think is the best
  13. So is anyone else perplexed by the whole "Villains United" theme of Ninjago sets later this year? I mean, let's look at the lineup: *Skeletons-makes sense seeing as how they were never destroyed. *Stone Warriors-a little bizarre since the only one we've seen since the end of season two was the big guy in Cryptarium Prison. *Nindroids-again, only ones we've seen were in Cryptarium Prison. *Chen and his Anacondrai Cultists-were last known to be inside the Preeminent...right before she was destroyed, apparently taking everyone inside with her aside from Clouse. Even with that, how are they flesh-and-blood again? Of course, it will hopefully all be explained once those episodes start-though who knows when that'll be since nothing past Skybound episode one has premiered in the U.S. yet.
  14. Guys! I just found a TOTALLY REAL poster for the new Ninjago movie! (^^^Click for full^^^) Don't forget to like, comment and subscribe for more TOTALLY REAL LEGIT posters!
  15. Since two new LEGO Ninjago promotional songs were just released by The Fold, I was curious which of their Ninjago songs from over the years were people's favorites! To date they've released 15 original songs along with four remixes of the theme song The Weekend Whip. Since the number of answers per poll question is limited, I split it into two questions: which is your favorite promotional song, and which is your favorite version of the theme song. Links for those who haven't heard the songs before or want to refresh their memory: The Weekend Whip Born to be a Ninja Ninja Go! 16. Okay, so for a while, I've been anticipating LEGO Dimensions for a long time now and was plesantly surprised that a lot of big names such as the LEGO Movie and Doctor Who got properly represented with the original voice talent for each character. One thing that occasionally gets on my nerves is how a lot of LEGO games tent to not have the budget to get the original voice actors to preform their roles as the characters. LEGO Ninjago Shadow of Ronin and LEGO Ninjago Nindroids unfortunately had those flaws. When it was announced that most voice roles were to be reprised for the LEGO Movie and others, I was estatic. Then I saw a trailer to the game featuing Kai (Ninjago) and Batman. Kai had a pretty scratchy voice that didn't match Vincent Tong's (voice of Kai's) voice at all. I kept my optimism though, seeing that a lot of game and movie trailers are acted or voiced differently from the actual product. The game came out and I bought the starter pack with the fun pack of Zane and the other of Emmet. I was happy to hear Chris Pratt's voice again after his apcense in the LEGO Movie Videogame. However, as soon as Zane opened his mouth, I was nearly heartbroken. I might be taking this a bit too seriously but there was a pit left in my stomach when I found out that none of the Ninjago characters reprised their roles and were replaced with cheap imitations. I even read somewhere that Vincent Tong wasn't even ever contacted to voice Kai again. It just feels disrespectful to the characters. Me and my little sister could comepletely tell the difference between the two voices for the same characters. I'm only assuming, but I'm pretty sure all the other Ninjago characters are suffering the same fate and not just Zane. Oh well...At least I can still play as the TRUE Emmet, Wildstyle, Homer Simpson, Doctor, and Unikitty.
  17. What LEGO Ninjago sets or minifigures would you like to see in the future? They can be characters and costumes from Ninjago media like the TV show and graphic novels, or new characters and costumes you dream up! In this topic, you don't have to limit yourself to what's realistic. Yes, I know characters like Seliel from the LEGO Ninjago graphic novels aren't likely to ever appear as figs. But if that's a fig you'd like released, you're welcome to suggest it here! I'll start off. I'd love to see "Airjitzu Nya Flier" and "Airjitzu Lloyd Flier" sets, similar to this year's Airjitzu fliers. They would come with brand-new Airjitzu Nya and Airjitzu Lloyd minifigures. I don't know if there's ever any chance of this happening, but we know Lloyd already officially has Airjitzu in the story from when he was possessed by Morro, and I think Nya should get the opportunity to learn Airjitzu as well! The Airjitzu minifigures are very stylish and it would be exciting to see what they would look like for Nya and Lloyd's elements. I'd also like to see stone armor versions of Jay and Cole (from Episode 34 "The Titanium Ninja"). We got stone armor versions of Zane and Lloyd in set 70728 Battle for Ninjago City and a stone armor version of Kai will be appearing in this year's Target-exclusive minifigure cube (one of which was somehow obtained and auctioned off at BrickFair Virginia). But Jay and Cole are still left out. I'm not sure what would be a good opportunity to release those figs, but I would like an opportunity to add them to my collection! And as silly as it is, I'd like a Kendo Lloyd minifigure. Last year's minifigure cube included a Lloyd DX minifigure, a costume Lloyd has never officially worn. He wasn't even a ninja when that costume was current! But it still looked awesome. And the nice thing about a Kendo Lloyd minifigure is that it'd have a 2011-style costume for Lloyd underneath! So together with Lloyd DX's hood, it'd be like getting two new costumes in one!
  18. PREVIOUSLY ON BIONICLE X NINJAGO MAFIA: A NEW CONFLICT / NINJAGO STRIKES BACK (credit to art in banner goes to TBK, may his presence on BZPower rest in peace) Worlds clashed in an epic struggle…. Five years ago, a planet warped into the sky above the World of Mafia, where it subsequently crashed into the plains of the infamous and perilous Desolation of the Staff. From this mysterious planet spewed forth alien figures and structures. They quickly spread across the globe, and all who belonged to Bionicle learned that everything on this planet somehow related to Ninjas. The survivors of the crashed planet all claimed themselves to be of ‘Ninjago’, a mystical realm filled with ninjas, robots, magic powers, and chefs. The two worlds quickly came to blows; the residents of Bionicle fearing that the legendary Bionicle Mafia was in danger, and had to be saved from the wicked Ninjago – while the residents of Ninjago feared that the last remnants of Ninjago Mafia would be squashed by its larger brethren. At first, it seemed that victory was in the hands of Bionicle, for their elite taskforce was able to easily take down the not-so-equally elite taskforce sent by Ninjago. With only a single so-called “survivor” for the Ninjago side, Bionicle was able to rest easy for two years. Ninjago was not so easily defeated, however. Three years ago, they managed to successfully infiltrate Bionicle, and then, they struck with lightning speed. It was a flawless victory on Ninjago’s part, led by none other than Sensei Wu. Little did they know at the time that a third party was taking part in events – Mr. Makuro, creator and leader of the Hero Factory. He revealed himself before Ninjago could even begin to celebrate, and so the conflicts began anew. --- For the past three years, Ninjago has been forced further and further back as they continuously try and fail to hold the line against the Hero Factory forces. Driven to desperation, they have united with what little is left of Bionicle, and together, the two lines have managed to force the conflict to a standstill; neither side has been able to advance for quite some time. Hope is on the horizon for Bionicle and Ninjago; whispers of a single, lone surviving Toa grow more common by the day. But Hero Factory’s most elite Heroes have now joined the front lines, and surviving the upcoming assault will be no easy task. Let the war begin! RULES 1-Vote changes are not permitted. 2-All BZP Rules Apply. 3-Once killed, players can no longer have an impact on the game. 4-Role revealing is not allowed. Targets two players for death each night, but can only kill them if they are a part of Hero Factory. Final Ninja x1 – The Final Ninja. Having survived both of the previous conflicts, the Final Ninja has grown extraordinarily resistant; they can only die if targeted for death two nights in a row, executed twice in a row, or targeted for death and lynching in the same round. HERO FACTORY (Wins if they outnumber both Bionicle and Ninjago) Mr. Makuro x1 – Has one separate kill each night; this kill will only succeed if the target is a Matoran or a Ninja. Preston Stormer x1 – If sent to kill, no suspect list will be provided. Dunkan Bulk x1 – Cannot be executed during the day as long as Preston Stormer and Jimi Stringer are alive. Jimi Stringer x1 – Can kill up to four players when sent; for each additional kill, the suspect list shrinks by one. 19. So I finally caught up with Season 6 of Ninjago, and I couldn't help but notice that the Ninjago story is getting pretty formulaic. This formula: the Ninja always fail against the main villain and sustain cringe-worthy losses through the entire season, only to narrowly beat the main villain by the skin of their teeth using some last-ditch tool or power. Any victories the ninja get midseason are always reversed or come with a cost of some kind or both. For example, Pythor - the ninja keep losing against him in the quest to collect the Fang Blades. They get the blades, and almost destroy them, only to be stopped at the last second. The Great Devourer is unleashed, and Garmadon has to stop him. Then, consider Garmadon - the ninja don't stop Garmadon's countdown or stop him from going back to Ninjago or the stone army. It's Lloyd's last minute save. Then the Overlord - we lose Lloyd and fail to rescue him fast enough to stop the power drain, they bust the digital realm not fast enough to stop the Overlord's escape, and it takes Zane's sacrifice. Then Master Chen - again, another series of cringe worthy defeats and the loss of Cole's power and the release of another bunch of dead Anconadrai generals that no one wanted released. It took Sensei Garmadon's sacrifice and last-minute save. And by the time we got to Morro, I could have predicted that every one of the Ninja's actions were going to result in a loss. I knew that when Kai got the sword from Morro that the Ninja were going to lose it soon after. And... Anyway, you've have thought that Jay would have figured this out by now. Thoughts?
  20. PREVIOUSLY ON BIONICLE X NINJAGO MAFIA (credit to art in banner goes to TBK, may his presence on BZPower rest in peace) WORLDS CLASHED IN AN EPIC STRUGGLE! Precisely two years ago, a planet warped into the sky above the World of Mafia and subsequently crashed into the plains of the infamous Desolation. This mysterious planet spewed forth alien figures and structures across the globe, all somehow related to ninjas. These menacing figures claimed themselves to be of ‘Ninjago’, a mystical realm filled with ninjas, robots, magic powers, and chefs. Among other things. The world of Bionicle Mafia was in danger, and had to be saved from the wicked Ninjago! Thankfully, the elite taskforce sent by Bionicle was able to easily take down the not-so-equally elite taskforce sent by Ninjago. With only a single so-called “survivor” for the Ninjago side (although really, we all know they died), Bionicle has been able to rest easy. --- So read the headlines a week ago; but it has become clear that Ninjago was not defeated, and merely awaiting the perfect chance to strike back against the Bionicle Mafia crew. Their force is smaller this time, designed for infiltrating the Bionicle ranks and performing a stealthy takedown as opposed to the even odds of their last confrontation. Deciding on some sort of poetic justice, the battleground decided for this conflict is the same town as before – not that this town has been named yet. Voltex might be a bit lazy in that regard. Let the defense / infiltration begin! --- A mysterious figure has appeared in town, and their purposes are unknown…. RULES 1-Vote changes are not permitted. 2-All BZP Rules Apply. 3-Once killed, players can no longer have an impact on the game. 4-Role revealing is not allowed. ROLES BIONICLE Matoran x12 – Regular players, who vote on who to lynch each day. Detective x1 – Investigates a player each night to determine their role. Medic x1 – Targets a player each night to protect them from death. Pyro x1 – Targets two players each night to kill; the one who dies is determined by RNG. The Shadowed One x1 – Leader of the Dark Hunters. Can swap two players each night, possibly altering targets. Dark Hunters x2 – Regular players. If the Shadowed One dies, one of these players becomes the new Shadowed One. NINJAGO Sensei Wu x1 – Leader of Ninjago. Decides who to send and who to kill each night. If sent to kill, can protect one other member of Ninjago from the lynching that round. Nya x1 – The Water Ninja. She can investigate a player each night to determine their role; if she discovers the Pyro, the Pyro is slain instantly. She is also immune to the Pyro’s fire, and as such, cannot be killed by them. Skylor x1 – The Amber Ninja. She can capture a player each night, rendering them unable to use their role ability if they have one. She is immune to the Detective, and as such, shows up as a regular Matoran to them. Lloyd Garmadon x1 – The Green Ninja. Takes command of Ninjago if Sensei Wu is killed. When sent, can kill two players during the night instead of one. Final Ninja x1 – The Final Ninja. As the only survivor of the original battle between Bionicle and Ninjago, the Final Ninja is partially immune to the lynching; they can only be slain at night or if lynched twice in a row. 21. BIONICLE WINS! (credit to art in banner goes to TBK, may his presence on BZPower rest in peace) WORLDS CLASH IN AN EPIC STRUGGLE! Precisely 26 hours, 32 minutes, and 49 seconds ago (we lost the smaller increments of time in a data loss that followed the recording, unfortunately), a planet warped into the sky above the World of Mafia and subsequently crashed into the plains of the infamous Desolation, spewing forth alien figures and structures across the globe! These menacing figures claim themselves to be of ‘Ninjago’, a mystical realm filled with ninjas, robots, magic powers, and chefs. The world of Bionicle Mafia is in danger! It must be defended from the wicked Ninjago! An elite team has been put together to defend Bionicle Mafia from the intruders, to combat an elite attacking force of the same size! The illogical decision has been made by both sides to avoid overwhelming the other with larger forces in favor of good, old-fashioned Mafia-style beatdowns is where all of you come in. 22. EDIT: Updated my theory with more info/alterations. EDIT 2: Having seen some of the new episodes, I feel I can revise the list a bit again. It also seems that I had forgotten to put Mind on the list of secondary elements So with the recent revelations that Fire, Earth, Lightning, and Ice are NOT the only elements, and that Wind is apparently an element, I'm a little curious as to how Ninjago elements actually WORK. Since there are (as for as we know) only 4 golden weapons, that would seem to imply that fire, earth, lightning, and ice are the main elements. Does that mean other elements are derived from those elements? Do the "secondary" elements make up the main ones or do the main ones combine to make the secondary ones? Is Wind even an element? How do golden power, creation, darkness, and destruction fit into all of this? Can any four elements combine to form Creation (as in either Mega-Weapon or Tornado of Creation), or does it require the four "main" elements? What are your theories or opinions? Post them below! My theory is this: All elements can be used in Spinjitzu and Airjitzu, although Wind is rather redundant in both, though it is possible that Wind Spinjitzu/Airjitzu is more powerful than other elements, in terms of how much "Elemental power" there is. The ninjas' elements (minus Lloyd) are the main elements, and other elements are combinations of them. Light & Shadow (Used by the Elemental Masters) are distinct from Creation & Destruction, the supposed elements of Sensei Wu and the formerly evil Lord Garmadon, until he turned good. It is possible that Lord Garmadon was using Shadow in the pilot episodes when he did the whole Kai VS. Garmadon Fire Temple battle. And during that episode where Lord Garmadon is staying on the Destiny Bounty on the search for Lloyd, he appears to use a dark form of lightning at one point, which is obviously not a Shadow power, and therefore might be a Destruction power, especially when you see his Spinjitzu character card which depicts his element as being Destruction and showing him using dark lightning. Then we have Golden Power and Darkness/EVIL, the former being used by Lloyd until the events of Rebooted, and the latter being used by the Overlord. These could be the same as Creation and Destruction, though they appear to be much more powerful. My theory on the combinations is as follows: HIGH-POWER SUPER ELEMENTS Golden Power - Ultimate combination of all 4 main elements and possibly also Light. A rare higher-power form of Creation + Green Power/Energy - Used by Lloyd (during the Golden Ninja era) and First Spinjitzu Master.Darkness/EVIL - Probably a higher-power form of Destruction that is possibly a dark, unbalanced combination of the 4 main elements and possibly also Shadow. Used by the Overlord.LOWER-POWER SUPER ELEMENTS Creation - An equal balance of the 4 main elements. Low-power version of Golden Power. Used by Sensei Wu and Sensei Garmadon. Lloyd possibly uses a more powerful form of Creation, allowing him to fire balls of green energy from his hands and create things out of thin air (like the motorcycle he made in "The Titanium Ninja"), as well as transform existing vehicles (like the 4-wheeled vehicle in "Ninja Roll"). It is possible this is because Sensei Wu's Creation is the same level of power as the ninja of the 4 main elements, meaning he is not a master of any one element, and Lloyd's is equal to the full power of all 4 elements combined.Destruction - An out-of-balance combination of the 4 main elements. Used by evil Lord Garmadon and probably the Overlord. Possibly a low-power version of Darkness/EVIL.(?) Energy/Green Power - Lloyd's ability to shoot green balls of energy doesn't appear to be a power that Sensei Wu or Garmadon have, so it is possible that Lloyd's Creation element includes some sort of additional power allowing him to do this. This appears to be a lower-power version of the golden balls of energy in Golden Power. It could be its own element or just the offensive side of Lloyd's Creation element. PRIMARY ELEMENTS Fire - KaiIce - ZaneEarth - ColeLightning - JaySECONDARY ELEMENTS Sound - Jacob PevsnerSpeed - Griffin TurnerGravity - GravisMind - NeuroPoison - ToxMetal - KarlofWater - Nya, Lar (if canon)Smoke - AshNature - BoloboForm - ChamilleLight - PalemanShadow - ShadeAmber/Absorption - Skylor (now lost)Wind - Morro It can be really confusing to understand the elements involving light and darkness, good and evil. Light & Shadow are confirmed to be elements, though they are apparently different from the elements of Creation and Destruction, Sensei Wu using the former and Lord Garmadon using the latter. And then you have to throw in the Golden Ninja Lloyd's Golden Power, as well as the Overlord's Darkness/Evil power. Golden Power does not appear to be the same as Creation, and the same applies for Destruction and Darkness/Overlord Power. And then Lloyd's Green Power is there. At first I thought this was a separate element from Creation and possibly a weaker form of Golden Power, but I had forgotten about that scene in "The Titanium Ninja" where he creates a motorcycle out of thin air, which means that he does in fact use the element of Creation, albeit at a much higher power level than Sensei Wu, as he is able to create balls of energy to use as a weapon. So yeah, this is all very confusing. What do you think? What are your theories? Feel free to discuss them here!
  23. https://instagram.com/p/9etDvVQFrF/ Looks like Lego hasn't been thinking of story writing that much - as old Greg said, the sets come first. However, most writing methods start with defining the characters and the setting anyway, but it appears that they focus more on the appearance of the characters than their actual personalities, which makes sense for a toy company. But that may leave those looking for a deeper story disappointed. What do you think? Go!
  24. Which season of LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu do you think had the best premiere, and which do you think had the best finale? Personally, I feel like my favorite season premiere was probably "The Invitation" from Season 4, and my favorite season finale is still "Day of the Great Devourer" from Season 1. EDIT: Added a poll.
